"Mr. Zac, I think it's better if you address me as Coralie Chariott."

Coralie felt that the fact that the companies under the Watson Group had invested in decided to help Skyton Corporation was just a way to chain her to them. So was the fact that she married Yohan. It had nothing to do with the fact that she was from the Zac family. Most importantly, she didn't want to rely on the Zac family anymore.

"No."

After Coralie had finished speaking, Yohan immediately rejected Jasper's request.

Jasper replied calmly, "Mr. Leonardo, Coralie is my sister. You don't have to be so hostile toward me, right?"

Although he looked down on Coralie, he couldn't ignore Yohan's influence in the country. He didn't dare to offend Yohan too.

"If you have anything to say, say it right here," hissed Yohan.

"It's about my family."

Jasper smiled broadly.

After a while, Yohan took a step back, leaving Coralie and Jasper alone. He went to wait somewhere nearby.

After Yohan walked away, Jasper voiced, "Actually, I came here today to ask you for a favor, Miss Chariott. I hope that you could testify for Valerie."

"Testify? For Valerie?" Coralie studied Jasper, thinking that he was ridiculous. "Mr. Zac, you haven't been kind to me throughout the whole conversation. And now you want me to testify for her? Is this your way of asking for others' help?"

Jasper had never intended to hide the contempt in his eyes the moment he entered this room.

She believed that she had nothing else to say to Jasper. Help Valerie? It was impossible.

"Valerie hurt her leg to save you. I only need you to tell this fact to my mother. That's it," said Jasper frankly.

Valerie's leg ended up in this stage because she saved Coralie. Coralie technically was a family member of the Chariott family. Hence, strictly speaking, she was doing a favor for the Chariott family.

Coralie could still remember vividly the last time when she bumped into Valerie, Valerie complained hysterically that Jasper's mother despised her.

"Mr. Zac, I have something to tell you, in fact. After I know Valerie's personality, I have never felt that the event itself was an accident. Even though she was injured, I lost my baby too. Based on her feelings toward Skylar, I highly doubt that it was an accident," stated Coralie calmly.

Coralie stood opposite of Jasper, looking indifferent.

Undeniably, after everything she had been through, in addition to a year of training in the Watson family, Coralie had grown up a lot, mentally or physically.

Currently, she didn't appear to be inferior to Jasper, who had been well-educated since young.

All her experiences had served as a catalyst to her growth.

"What do you mean?" Jasper did not change his attitude toward Coralie despite her changes. Instead, he said, "I didn't expect that Valerie had actually saved such an ungrateful person. She had injured her leg for nothing."

"Mr. Zac, perhaps Valerie looks innocent for you, but not for me. I hope you could replace it out soon. Forgive me for saying this, I don't think she is kind-hearted."

Coralie understood that Jasper could have been blinded by love, but she had no obligation to sympathise with him.

"Kind-hearted? How dare you mention that word? Do you think you're kind-hearted when you snatched someone's fiance?"

"They were never engaged." Coralie crossed her arms.

"So what?" Jasper inched toward her.

"So what? Mr. Zac, our values differ too much. We should stop this conversation."

Coralie turned around and walked toward Yohan.

"Coralie!"

Jasper seemed to only realize that he was here to ask for a favor after Coralie was about to leave. His marriage with Valerie would never be approved without his mother's permission. Hearing Jasper calling, Coralie didn't even look back. She walked to Yohan and said, "Let's go, I have nothing to say to him."

"OK."

Yohan was eavesdropping on their conversation.

He knew Valerie better than Jasper and Coralie.

"Coralie, name a price. How much do you want to help me!"

Jasper was anxious. He began to regret his arrogant behavior a while ago.

"Name a price?"

Coralie was really amused by Jasper.

"Yes, please help me. Please help me and Valerie."

Coralie rolled her eyes. "Would your mother agree for you to be with her if I help you?"

"Yes!"

Jasper replied without hesitation.

He was certain that her mother, Amenda Skinner would definitely approve of their marriage if Coralie talked to her.

Coralie thought for a moment and then said, "Ok, I promise you. However, I will only narrate what actually happened that day. I will not help you twist the fact." "Ok, you just need to tell the truth."

Jasper's attitude toward Coralie changed at once. It finally occurred to him that, no matter what, he was here to beg for Coralie's help.

"Well, when is it?" Coralie asked.

"Tomorrow. I'll pick you up tomorrow morning."

After Jasper said that, Coralie looked at Yohan. "I'll go with him tomorrow morning, is that okay?"

"Okay."

Yohan's consent was the final step for that matter to proceed.

The reason why Coralie agreed to help Jasper wasn't that he was her brother. In fact, she hoped that Valerie would quickly marry him and stop harassing Skylar. Valerie was not worthy of such a great man like Skylar.

The next morning, Jasper drove to pick Coralie up.

Coralie was wearing a beige windbreaker; her hair was tied into a bun. She was dressed decently, exuding a very charismatic charm.

Watching her getting in the car, although Jasper didn't say anything, one could tell from his gaze he was slightly shocked by how much Coralie had changed from before. "Mr. Zac, I have something to tell you."

After Coralie got in the car, she turned to Jasper.

"What is it?"

"You may not really understand women. I feel that your mother might not like me. Perhaps, she hates me a lot."

"Why?" Jasper frowned. He didn't understand Coralie, thinking that she was going to go back on her words. "You don't want to help me now, do you?"

"Of course not. But if you don't believe me, I will give it a try."

Anyway, Coralie wasn't sincere in helping them.

She did not like Jasper and Valerie. Therefore, it didn't matter to her how that matter would turn out.

After Coralie entered the Zac family, she was escorted to the living room where a graceful and elegant woman was sitting in the middle of the three-seater sofa. Her hair was high in a bun, and her red gown with golden silk lining seemed to be a little old-fashioned. She had heavy makeup; the endpoints of her brows were drawn especially high.

Coralie could tell that she was Jasper's mother at one glance. It was obvious that she wasn't an easy person to deal with.

However, a woman like Valerie must not have been an ordinary person since she could handle Amenda.

"Hi, Auntie Amenda."

Coralie greeted Amenda right away. She knew that her name was Amenda.

"Mom, this is Coralie."

Jasper introduced.

Amenda studied Coralie, who was standing beside Jasper. "You look just like that b*tch, Madison."
