Hazel walked into the office and stood in front of Skylar's desk as she bowed and greeted, "President Holland."

After greeting him, she raised her head and looked at Skylar.

Hazel had seen Skylar in the news before, but when she saw him in person, he was even more good looking in real life than on TV. Skylar was wearing a black suit, and he was very attractive.

His facial features were strong and well-defined, and his dark pupils radiated a tinge of coldness that kept people far away from him. The way he looked at Hazel was not friendly.

Her eyes, delicately covered with makeup, were dazed for a moment but she quickly hid it with a confident smile. "President Holland, you look much more attractive in person than on the television. It's such a waste that you did not join the entertainment industry."

"What do you want to tell me?

Skylar didn't respond to her statement; he went straight to the point instead.

Just a moment ago, Hazel was making a fuss and wanted to see Skylar, but now that she met him, she didn't talk to him about business.

When Hazel realized that Skylar was not one for flattery, she was even more certain that he had a fiancée. However, she didn't say anything and she apologized instead, "I'm very sorry for what happened just now. I said unnecessary things and I've learnt from my mistake. From now on, I'll pay attention to what I should and shouldn't say."

Her initial intention of meeting Skylar was to ask him why he decided not to hire her.

However, after chatting with Lorraine outside just now, she finally understood. She seemed to have mentioned what Skylar wanted to keep as a secret.

"You're not suitable for Skyton Corporation."

Skylar refused her again.

Since Hazel could replace out so much about him, it naturally showed that this woman liked gossiping. If she became the CEO in future, nobody could foresee the things she would do.

"President Holland, you mean that my personality doesn't suit you, right?" Hazel said with a smile, "President Holland, you must like that kind of gentle and reserved girl. She could be arrogant but not too loud. However, I am not such a girl, right?"

These were just Hazel's wild guesses.

She felt that Skylar was such an outstanding man, naturally, he would attract countless women. A woman with just mere beauty would not be able to capture his heart.

Since he didn't like her character, Hazel threw her guesses based on her personality.

She got a few points right.

"This company is a workplace for people to make a living. If you want to talk about gossip, you should enter the entertainment industry."

Skylar thought that Hazel had investigated Coralie and his impression of her became even worse.

He had never liked people who enjoyed gossiping, regardless of their gender.

"President Holland, I actually want to talk to you about business and how to earn a profit, but you're talking about my character. You are not giving me a chance," Hazel felt wronged at once. "There are some things that I can change, but there are some things that I can't change. Even if I do not change anything, I can still perform better than those two men."

She was still showing a confident smile on her face as she talked.

Before the interview started, she made use of her beauty to chat with the other two male candidates. After short conversations with them, Hazel could tell that she was better than both of them; she knew where she stood.

"Earn a profit? Are you saying this before even getting the job? Skyton Corporation is way bigger than your previous company and it's not just by a bit."

"So what? The ways of earning profit are the same, as long as I know how to do it. If you want to recruit a manager who worked in a company that is bigger than Skyton Corporation, then I suppose that you won't be able to do so."

Hazel was very confident about that.

"I understand. You can go now. I will reconsider it."

Skylar didn't have a good impression of Hazel, but it seemed to him that her confidence wasn't from nothing.

The interview earlier was the best proof that she understood Skyton Corporation better than anyone else.

"President Holland, if you let me stay, I guarantee that Skyton Corporation's annual profit will increase by 5% next year."

"5%?"

Skylar was already moving on with his work, but when he heard what Hazel said, he couldn't help but raise his head to look at her.

Skyton Corporation was a huge company so 5% of their annual profit was definitely a very large amount. If it was Skylar himself, it wouldn't be too difficult. However, if it was someone else, Skylar wouldn't have that kind of confidence.

He only planned to replace a professional manager. He wouldn't expect Skyton Corporation's assets to grow during that period. He was alright as long as he would be able to maintain the status quo; he was not afraid to even have a slight loss.

However, he didn't expect that Hazel said that she could guarantee it.

"Yes, if you hire me, I will do it."

Her confidence was firmly reflected in her eyes and a smile rose on her red lips. She was sure that she could fulfill what she promised.

"OK, I'll give you an answer within three days."

Skylar had originally planned to hire someone else, but Hazel's promise made him reconsider.

The development of the company was his responsibility to the employees. If she could really do it, he was willing to let her have a try.

"I'll wait for the good news from you then."

After saying that, Hazel then bowed and left.

She knew that Skylar would definitely recruit her after hearing her words.

As soon as Hazel walked out of the door, Dominic came in. He originally wanted to talk to Skylar and persuade him to give Hazel a chance, but when he saw the confidence on Hazel's face, it seemed that everything was under her control.

When Dominic came in, he asked Skylar, "Have you decided to recruit Hazel Meyer?"

"I'll give it a try. She said that she can increase the annual profit by 5%."

Skylar told Dominic about the promise that Hazel made.

Dominic was stunned when he heard that. As a manager, no one would dare to guarantee such a thing especially when it was just their first year working for the company. Yet Hazel dared to promise Skylar, he could only say... She's crazy!

For such a crazy woman, there was only one feeling in Dominic's heart.

Admiration!

"Yes, she actually dared to say such a thing, I will wait and see then."

Dominic knew that the matter had been settled. He then turned around and left.

Hazel took the elevator to the basement level and got into her Land Rover. She took out her mobile phone and saw a missed call.

She glanced at the number and immediately called back.

"President Jakeman."

Hazel spoke.

"Hazel, how did it go?"

"How could it go? I succeeded. President Jakeman, I guaranteed President Holland that I'll be able to increase the company's annual profit by 5%. You have to take good care of me by then."

"Of course." The man on the other side of the phone was Sabella Jakeman's father, Stephan. When he finished his question, he asked again, "Do you know why Skylar suddenly decided to recruit a professional manager?"

Skylar had not shown up in public recently. Although most would not know, the people from the industry would have a clue.

People in the industry were making guesses that Skylar had a terminal illness, which caused everyone to feel worried about cooperating with him.

"From my observation, he definitely had no terminal illness." Hazel thought for a moment and said, "But I noticed that he was sitting there the whole time. He didn't move much the whole time. I suspect that there is something wrong with his limbs."
