You Complete Me novel (Skylar and Coralie) -
Chapter 339
Jayson came to pick Coralie and Hendric up. The driver was waiting for them in the car. When Coralie and the others walked over, the driver quickly got out of the car and helped get Coralie's luggage in the trunk.
Along the way, Hendric became a chatterbox, "Mom, when Dad sees me, is it possible that he wouldn't be able to recognize me?"
"Of course not."
"Will he be happy to see us?"
"Of course."
"Then..."
Hendric asked all sorts of questions along the journey, as if he had thousands of questions in his mind.
They arrived in the airport.
Jayson helped them to get their boarding passes and sent them to the VIP lane, where he stopped.
"Miss Chariott, if there are any problems along the journey, you can ask for help from the nearest staff on board. You are a VIP member so they will definitely provide you the best service." Jayson said.
"Okay, thank you, Jayson. I'm so sorry to bother you during the holidays."
Coralie thanked Jayson.
After all, it was the holidays and Coralie felt very sorry for bothering him to send her off.
"It's okay. It's what I should do."
Jayson answered formally.
Coralie took Hendric through customs and immigration. The trip was very smooth. Because the flight was in the afternoon, they soon fell asleep after having their dinner on the plane. When they woke up, they could see the sunset through the window.
Coralie took a look at her watch. It was past 6 o'clock in the morning, but the time zones were different, and it was evening there.
Soon after Hendric woke up, the plane arrived at their destination.
Coralie got off the plane while carrying Hendric and the flight staff escorted her all the way to the VIP lounge in the airport.
As soon as they entered, they saw Skylar, who was sitting in a wheelchair in a light-colored casual suit waiting for them.
"Dad!"
The moment Hendric saw Skylar, he jumped out of Coralie's embrace excitedly and dashed towards Skylar!
"Are you hungry?"
Skylar carried Hendric onto his lap and asked him.
"Yes."
Hendric sat there with his legs kicking in the air and he looked very happy.
Skylar brought Hendric and Coralie out of the airport and they went to a fancy restaurant.
Since they were in E country, no one there knew Skylar and no one would take photos of them, so it was very safe for them.
They had Country A's style of dishes in the restaurant, with pasta, stew and much more.
When the food was served, Skylar said, "I was afraid that you won't be used to another country's style of food, but the food here is still quite different as they were adapted to the taste of the locals here." "Dad, I'm not picky about food. I'm a well-behaved child."
As he said that, Hendric took a small bread roll with his fork and put it on his plate. After taking a bite, he frowned immediately.
However, since he had already said that he was not picky, he could only continue eating it.
Seeing how Hendric reacted, Coralie also tried the small bread roll. When she ate it, she found that it was very salty...
Indeed, the meal served looked very alike to their home country's, but the taste was much different.
Skylar looked at them and said, "Don't worry, I've already appointed a chef at home for you guys."
"At home?"
"Yes, I got a house here. I won't go anywhere else this week and I'll just stay with you all."
Skylar's voice was gentle.
"Will it delay your treatment?"
Coralie was a little worried for him.
Now that Skylar had the time to accompany them, they felt like it was how they were like before.
"No, I've told the doctor about it."
Skylar didn't explain much to them.
The doctor explained that what he needed most now was to maintain a good physical and mental condition, to increase the chances of success of the surgery.
After dinner, Skylar brought Coralie to the house.
The journey was relatively long. As they drove for more than three hours, Coralie looked out of the window and the scenery changed from a prosperous city to plain suburbs, and finally, to an ocean. At last, they drove to a small town and stopped in a courtyard.
Coralie was stunned as she stood at the door!
Country A had a large population with relatively crowded residential areas. Villas were the kind of settlement that only a few could afford to have, and even if they had it, it would be a mini version of it, definitely not ones with a courtyard.
As for the house that was before her, next to the main door was a blooming tree full of violet flowers. As the wind blew, the flowers flew, falling on the green lawn and the stone path below. The whole scene seemed like a dream.
"This..."
"Wow! It's so beautiful!"
When Coralie was still in awe of the beautiful courtyard, Hendric ran in happily!
"Wifey, are you going to stay by the door?"
Skylar brought Coralie into the house.
As Coralie walked in, some flowers fell on her shoulders. She tilted her head and blew them away.
"Mom! There is a slide here!"
Hendric shouted.
Coralie looked back at the courtyard that they were in and noticed that there was another backyard beside the house.
On one side of the backyard, was a parking space for cars. On the other side, was a playground for children; there was a slide and trampolines.
"Do you like this place?"
Although Skylar was sitting, he could still see the amazement and joy in Coralie's eyes.
He knew that Coralie would love this place.
Not only to Coralie, but every woman in the world would fall for a house like this... Everything seemed like a fairy tale.
"Yes. I like it. I like it very much!" Coralie nodded hard as she looked up at the tree with petals falling onto the top of her head. "If it is possible, we could live in such a place after you retire."
It would be the life that everyone would dream of, where the house was located near the sea, and where the flowers would bloom in the arrival of the warm spring.
"Sure, if you like it, I will build a similar one for you in A City."
He was still able to handle such a small matter.
After entering the house, Coralie wanted to put her luggage in place, but Skylar had already done it for her.
The wardrobe in the bedroom had clothes prepared for her according to her size, from her undergarments to her pyjamas, as well as her bathrobe.
There were three pairs of slippers, two large ones and one small one in front of the bathroom door.
The refrigerator in the kitchen was filled with fresh vegetables.
"Can we cook lunch at home?"
Coralie looked at the beautiful kitchen. She could see the flowering tree in the yard by the window and it made her feel that her cooking skills would instantly improve.
"Sure."
Skylar agreed to her decision.
Hendric was playing happily on the slide in the backyard. There were only two of them in the entire house.
Skylar went up and hugged Coralie from the back as he sat her on his legs, and whispered in her ear, "Wifey, I missed you so much. Recently, since I found that I was cured, when I think of you, I would even... As he spoke, Coralie could already feel a part of Skylar was moving.
