Vicki, Felix, and Joyce continued their discussion for a while.

Vicki asked, "Joyce, did you bring someone with you, just outside thedoor?"

Felix was taken aback. "Who? I didn't know."

Vicki gave Felix a faint glance. "Of course you wouldn't notice. Myprofessional intuition told me."

Joyce admitted, "Yes, his name is Darrin. He's my trusted soldier, amilitary advisor.”

Felix was surprised. "Really? I had no idea. A military advisor at such ahigh rank serving as a bodyguard, that's unheard of.”

Joyce smiled. "Don't mind him. He heard our entire conversation.There's nothing to hide from him, and he'll be involved in many of ourfuture actions.”

Within moments, Darrin entered the room.

Seeing Vicki and Felix, he nodded in acknowledgement, exchanginggreetings with them.

Then, Darrin sat down next to Joyce.

He said, "I heard your entire conversation just now. Vicki is indeed asremarkable as they say."

"Well, I am unbeatable. My wife is naturally amazing," Felix saidproudly, putting his arm around Vicki's shoulder and raising his chinwith a smug expression.

Vicki sighed and pursed her lips. Felix would announce to the worldthat she was his wife whenever he saw someone.

Felix took in a sharp breath. What did Vicki mean? Does Christian nowhave feelings for Joyce? This news shocked him.
