You Hit My Heart
Chapter 326

Since that night Joyce has offered to move out.

The relationship between the two dropped to a freezing point. Theatmosphere was stagnant, and neither one spoke again.

Joyce was not likely to move out right away, as they have been gettinga lot of media attention lately and there were often paparazzidownstairs. But today she went back to the Warner residence for herthings.

After the police station lifted the lockdown, Mr. Arnold remained in themain house to take care of the daily affairs.

Mr. Arnold was particularly happy to see Joyce back, with a suitcase, and rushed forward to greet her, "Ma'am, you're back. When are youmoving back in?"

“I'm coming back to sort out my stuff.” Joyce smiled and shook herhead, "Won't be moving back for a while.”

"Oh." Mr. Arnold couldn't hide his disappointment. He went home onvacation, but he didn't expect something like this to happen to theWarner family. He even missed the chance to see Stephanie beforeshe was buried, and he felt inevitably regret.

Stephanie's condition had improved just before he left, and she had leftthe world when he was back.

He regretted a lot. Although Stephanie took the initiative to let him takea few days off, he still could not help but blame himself after he cameback, facing the empty house every day. If he had been there on theday of the accident, how good it would have been, perhaps he couldhave known something about the situation.

"Ma'am, I have kept your things in the room as they were." Mr. Arnoldsaid respectfully.

"Good." Joyce nodded gently.

Mr. Arnold added, "Ma'am, I've heard all about the twists and turnsyou've been through before. You have really suffered, and havesuffered so much." His eyes were full of admiration and respect.

“It is nothing. I just hope to replace out the real Killer as soon as possible."She said coldly.

"If there's anything I can do, just let me know.” Mr. Arnold sighed.Stephanie died for no reason, and he only hoped that soon they wouldbe able to unravel the truth.

"Hmm." Joyce finished, then walked upstairs and began to pack herthings.

She opened the closet, which was full of clothes, but unfortunately notmany of them were her own. Nearly all of them were bought for her byLuther. There were very few things that belonged to her.

She only took what was originally hers, as well as her laptop, mobilehard drive, some documents she used at work, etc.

When she first came, she brought a suitcase, but she didn't expect toleave with only half of it.

When leaving the Warner residence.

She went back to Stephanie's room and sat down for a little while.Everything was still the way it was.

After the police lockdown, it looked like Mr. Arnold had carefullyrestored the place to its original condition. The furnishings were exactlythe same as before, the smashed things were repaired, and the bedswere properly made.

As if everything that was bloody and cruel before, had not happened. She sat quietly and looked around.

She thought of everything that had happened.

Her entire encounter with Luther began with Stephanie.

For her, it was not clear whether it was a curse or a blessing.

But one thing was for sure.

Stephanie's presence was a bright light in her life. She gave her afamily. She would never forget how kind Stephanie had been to her andhow Stephanie had trusted, understood, and appreciated her.

She dragged her suitcase along the way she had come.
