You Hit My Heart
Chapter 329

Such a thrilling journey, between life and death, perhaps they couldonly replace in a TV drama otherwise.

They could not imagine how Joyce survived these days.

"Oooh." Juanita ran up to her with a sobbing voice and jumped intoJoyce's arms at once.

"Great, you're finally back. Seeing you, I can really rest assured.”Juanita hugged Joyce tightly and refused to let go, "Before you came, you didn't tell me about it. If you let me know, I would have bought a lotof food and waited for you to come."

"Well, it's not that serious. I'm back in good shape, right?"

Joyce smiled and gently stroked Juanita's head, soothingly.

The others in the office all gathered around, shushing and askingquestions.

"Can you tell us what happened? How many thugs were there?"Everyone was curious to follow up.

“It's too long a story. It's pretty much the same as the police briefing, soI'll tell you more about it some other time. I'm officially back at workfrom today, so let's just take care of the work we piled up before.”Joyce said with a smile.

At this point, she noticed a familiar figure standing behind the group ofcolleagues surrounding her.

It's Charlotte.

Charlotte wore a pure white dress without any decoration all over, herwatery eyes containing a little sadness and a little confusion. Her lipswere white, and she looked just haggard.

Joyce parted the crowd and walked up to Charlotte.

Charlotte pulled out a rueful smile and feigned concern, "Joyce, are youokay? I heard all about what happened, and I'm worried about you." Infact, seeing with her own eyes Joyce standing in front of her againintact. The resentment she felt was far more intense than the last timeshe was backstage at the police station press conference.

All her careful planning, professional killers, and time bombs, all in vain. Was Joyce just lucky, or was it just bad luck for she every time.

“I'm fine, but you... You look terrible." Joyce frowned. Charlotte lookedthinner than last time. She looked fragile and powerless. Her face waspale, as if a gust of wind could blow her over.

“I'm having a bad reaction. I can't eat, and I just can’t stop thinking allday at home, so it's better if I just stay here.” Charlotte said quietly, witha hollow look in her eyes.

“I'm relieved to see that you're okay, so I'll go back to work first. There'sstill a promotion project left to be done." Charlotte forced a smile andreturned to her seat with a numb expression, tapping on the keyboardin front of the computer.

Joyce looked at Charlotte's back in amazement, feeling that somethingwas seriously wrong with Charlotte.

Juanita saw this and quietly pulled Joyce aside.

Lowering her voice, she said, "There's something wrong with hermental state. We all suspect that she has depression."

"Depression?" Joyce nearly exclaimed, "How could that be?"

Juanita shrugged, "Who knows, maybe it's prenatal depression?"Joyce frowned; indeed, Charlotte was pregnant and full of anticipationto marry Luther.

Could it be that the delayed divorce between her and Luther had putpsychological pressure on Charlotte?

Causing Charlotte to get depressed?
