You Hit My Heart
Chapter 332

Joyce instantly understood that she and Luther had never beendivorced.

Charlotte couldn't take the pressure anymore.

As Joyce saw how she was kneeling and also kowtowing, Joyce felt soembarrassed.

"Charlotte, get up and we can talk. You shouldn't think about it. It's notgood for the baby in your belly.” Joyce advised, “I know what youmean. Too many accidents happened some time ago, I was not able todivorce Luther in time, I know it has caused you trouble, and I am sorry. But you don't have to get down on your knees to me, it was myresponsibility.”

"Hurry up and get up, it's not nice to be seen. Let's sit down and talk, shall we?"

"No, I can feel that his attitude towards me has changed, and I worryevery day that he will change his mind. I can't sleep every day. Hesaid..." she cried, "He swore to me, said he loved me, swore he wouldmarry me, and I gave him everything. We also ... had this child. Butnow, I am so worried that he will change his mind. I am afraid he willabandon me and not want me and the child in my womb."

Charlotte couldn't stop crying and her eyes were swollen like walnuts.Joyce took out a tissue to wipe her tears, but the more she wiped, themore she cried.

"Joyce, I can't live without this baby.” Charlotte moved forward on herknees, hugging Joyce's legs as if she was afraid, and refusing to let go."The doctor said that my uterus was in a bad condition when I had thechild and if I don’t give birth to this baby, perhaps I won't have anotherchance. I want this baby. I want this child, and I can't live without thischild. I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't have asked you for something likethis, everyone has the right to pursue their own happiness, but I'mreally scared. Ugh." Charlotte cried and cried, and in the end she couldbarely breathe.

Joyce squatted down and sighed as she subconsciously stroked thesmall of her back.

Who would have known that she was actually pregnant as well?Charlotte worried that her child would be born without a father.

But her child was the one destined to be born without a father.

What a sin.

"Charlotte, I'm sorry. It's a little late, but I'm already looking for a place, and I'll move out the day after tomorrow after the board meeting." Joycepromised.

"Really?" Charlotte looked up, her tearful eyes filling up at her as if shecouldn't believe it.

"I promise!" Joyce nodded, "You get up.”

Saying that, Joyce pulled Charlotte up from the floor with force andhelped her sit on the couch.

After Charlotte sat down on the couch, Joyce handed her a tissue towipe her tears.

Immediately, she walked out of the box again, ordered a hot cup ofoolong tea and a glass of lemon juice.

By the time the waiter brought up the tea, Charlotte had finally stoppedsobbing.

Joyce pushed the hot oolong tea in front of Charlotte, "Have some tea, don't cry.” Although she and Charlotte grew up in the same orphanageas children, she and Charlotte did not really know much about eachother. Perhaps it was because she was introvert herself, or perhapsshe and Charlotte really didn't get along.

Even later, after the two entered the same university, they didn’t meetoften.

Instead, they started to communicate and meet more frequently fromthe time they started their internship at R&S Group.

She did not know much about Charlotte's temperament or past, nor didshe know how Charlotte met Luther.

However, none of that mattered anymore. She didn't want to getbetween them.

“I didn't mean to take your place either. Things happened suddenlyrecently. I'm sorry, I'll take care of this soon. You have been worryingtoo much. It's not good for the fetus, you should take care of yourhealth and take care of yourself.”
