You Hit My Heart
Chapter 381

"Good. I'm going in then."

Joyce returned home and quickly packed up, she didn't have muchstuff. The last time she packed some things from the Warner residence, and in addition to that were only a few daily clothes and somedocuments. She got a total of just two full suitcases this time.

She carried the two boxes downstairs.

Juanita saw Joyce walking out and rushed up to take one of thesuitcases over.

"We're taking a cab now, I just looked at the location and it's pretty farfrom here." Juanita pushed the box to the curb.

“Luckily, there is a subway that goes directly to the group headquarters,so it's quite convenient to go to work." Joyce returned, "Don't worry, Iwill go to work at the group normally and will not be affected by thosethings.”

As she was saying that, when she looked up, she suddenly saw Lutherwalking over head-on.

She had no idea if Luther hadn't gone to the group this morning or if hehad to go home temporarily.

Joyce was stunned at first, then remembered that he had installed atracker in her phone, so it wasn't surprising that he knew where shewas.

Juanita sensed the awkward atmosphere between the two of them, andshe tugged tightly on Joyce's arm.

She really didn't expect that the perfect couple would end up in thissituation.

“I'm here to pack my stuff." Joyce took the initiative to speak first, herface calm.

"Hmm." Luther nodded gently, his face still gloomy, and she could notsee a thing from his deep black eyes.

“I'm leaving, bye." Joyce pushed the two suitcases in front of her andreached out to hail a cab.

Luther raised his hand to look at his watch and reminded, "New projectmeeting at 3pm, please be on time."

"Good." Joyce responded.

She would never put off her work for anything.

Luther walked past her and strode away.

Juanita glanced back at Luther's lonely, long back, and couldn't helpbut stumble at the way the two of them looked and talked, as if theyhad become simply passersby overnight.

Just talking about work and nothing else.

So unexpected, or embarrassing. She always felt the boss was strangebut she could not say exactly.

And Joyce focused solely on getting out that she had no time foranything else.

It took her and Juanita about an hour in a cab to get to Joyce's newlyrented apartment.

The apartment was in the middle of nowhere, but it's big and new, andthe environment was nice.

"Wow, it's not bad. Eden Apartment, the name sounds like an exclusiveapartment for couples.” Juanita got out of the car, walked around andexclaimed, "My lease is up next month, why don't I come over here andrent one too? Come and keep you company?”

Joyce laughed, "No, I'm just living here temporarily. Maybe next monthI'll move to a closer place. I didn’t have much time to replace a housebefore, and I didn't have a choice. This is a bit far away after all.”"Mm-hmm." Juanita nodded her head while carrying the suitcasesupstairs with Joyce.

Joyce's room was on the 14th floor, a single apartment.

There was a total of eight rooms on one floor, all of which weredecorated in a uniform Scandinavian style.

The interior of the apartment was simple and freshly decorated, and thekitchen and bathrooms were clean.

“It's a shame they don't give you enough furniture. You may need tobuy some." Juanita said as she looked around.

“It's okay, it's just a month, I'll be working overtime a lot lately. Just havea place to stay and a bed to sleep in."

Joyce was thinking that she wanted to move the new driverless projectforward as soon as possible so that she could give the directors anexplanation.

She would never forget her promise to Stephanie.
