Charlotte called Ricky's number immediately after Thomas hung up thephone.

As it was about to go through, there was a knock on the door outsidethe room.

Cecelia said in a raised voice.

"Got it, Mom." Charlotte replied in a rush.

Next, she held her breath and listened carefully, waiting until Cecelia'sfootsteps faded away before she picked up the phone and continuedthe call.

"Hey, Thomas just called me again. He seems to have spotted you. Hesaid he saw a man in black climbing up through the window. Ricky,have you been exposed?" She spoke fast, but she didn't dare to be tooharsh. After all, she still had to count on Ricky to do the job for her."Miss, you underestimate me. If Thomas gets out of my control, I willcall you first. Don't worry, everything is within my grasp. I didn't intendto do it at the hotel next to the train station either.
