You Hit My Heart
Chapter 450

"Okay." Joyce's brain was hot and she impulsively agreed to Justin.

In fact, Justin called her almost every day, and she had refused severaltimes. Today, perhaps because she heard that Luther was gettingengaged, her mood was affected. She simply agreed. Anyway, she justhad to face it sooner or later.

On the other end of the phone, Justin was clearly excited, "Joyce, great, you've finally agreed. Then I'll meet you at Eden Apartmenttonight, I want to talk to you alone."

"Got it." Joyce didn't object either.

She didn't know why Justin's father, Garrett Henderson, had insisted onseeing her, but she knew it had to be no good. The dark memories ofher past were firmly etched in the marrow of her bones.

Hiding was not an option, so it's better to end it.

"Okay, I will wait for you then."

"Hmm." Joyce frowned lightly and hung up the phone.

After receiving Justin's call, she felt duller and more irritable.

Even after she returned to her seat to work, she was still upset, and herinspiration was all gone.

Near the end of the day, she unusually packed up early and got readyto leave her work. In the past, she had never left work on time.

When she arrived downstairs, she happened to run into Luther talkingto a senior executive, and the two looked like they were talkingbusiness. She caught a glimpse and decided to take a detour.

Luther was giving instructions about the company and saw Joycedeliberately walking around him. He hurriedly finished his instructionsand caught up with her.

"Wait." He reached out, tugging on her arm.

"What do you want?" Joyce looked at his bright, starry eyes in surprise, not understanding what he wanted to do again. The last time shevisited him in the hospital, it didn't go well, and then after that, shehadn't seen him.

“You moved out?" Luther asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Yeah, I moved out a long time ago.” She tried to shake off his arm andstruggled a few times, blushing badly.

"Eden Apartment, why would I buy it?" He asked again. In the past twodays, he had learned a lot about the recent happenings in the R&SGroup, and the affairs about the company were straightforward, andsoon became clear. But what happened to the Warner family, as well asto himself, were not all that clear to him, as others knew very little aboutthem.

For example, he recently purchased an Eden Apartment for twice themarket price, an outrageous price for an apartment far from the centerof the city. Bad location, and no investment value at all.

Although, this amount of money was literally nothing for him.

But he had absolutely no way to understand what could be the purposeof such an investment?

Even Aaron wasn't sure why he was buying it, he was just followingorders.

The apartment was currently occupied by Joyce.

The only person who could know why he bought Eden Apartment wasJoyce.

Joyce sniffed and couldn't help but snicker, "Joke, how do I know whyyou'd buy it? You didn't tell me beforehand either. I can't figure it outeven myself. Don't worry, I will pay the rent to you on time. If you mind,I can move out next month.” Now, R&S was still quite generous abouther salary, and it was enough for her to support herself.

Luther was upset with Joyce's attitude and she seemed in a bad mood.He grabbed her wrist hard and refused to let go.

“You must know something, say it clearly. What, exactly, has happenedbetween us?" He stared, speaking in obvious displeasure.

Although he couldn't remember what had happened recently, Joyce'sstubborn nature hadn't changed at all, and it was still the same as whenhe first met her. He still remembered that the night Justin disappeared,it was clearly her own drunken madness, and she even threw him aslap.

“I have nothing to say, Mr. Warner, you are going to be engaged nextmonth, should you not consider the feelings of your fiancée? Don'taffect your image by pulling and tugging with me in public at R&SGroup."
