You Hit My Heart -
Chapter 461
Luther stepped out from behind the shadows of a large tree. He hadpreviously had a tour around the Eden Apartment, and now he still feltpuzzled.
It was completely incomprehensible why he would suddenly buy aproperty in such a place for an outrageous price well over twice themarket value. It was simply unbelievable.
He walked towards Joyce, his sharp eyes somber and his tone cold,"You had dinner with Justin?"
Joyce tilted her head and gave a sarcastic laugh, "Didn't you see it all?So what?" Since he asked this question, he must have seen her andJustin walk out of the restaurant together, and then Justin left first.Luther said in a cold voice, “Just do not forget, we have not yetreceived a divorce certificate. I've made an agreement with you thatyou and I are not allowed to have relations with other men or womenduring our marriage.”
Joyce looked at him with slight surprise, "And you still remember this?"She remembered that she had met Felix and Mathew for the first timein Imperiana early on, and after playing darts with them, she and Lutherhad made a deal on their way back to the Warner residence. Heproposed the terms, among which was this one.
"Of course, I remember.” He said coldly.
She laughed, "That's a serious double standard you have. You've beensending invitations around to tell everyone in the city that you are aboutto get engaged to Charlotte before our marriage comes to an end, andI'm just having dinner with Justin, what's wrong with that??"
“Justin, you sound close." Luther's face was dark, and for some reason,he was extremely upset inside his heart. It was like a feeling of jealousythat gave him all the stifling anger and depression.
“You might as well mind your own fiancée and stay out of mybusiness." Joyce disdainfully turned around and was about to leave."Wait, I'm going to go upstairs and check it out.” Luther held out an armto stop Joyce.
"Why? Please don't disturb me. You are not welcome here." Joyceshook off his arm with force, her voice resentful.
"What, I can't go up and see the house I purchased myself?" Luthersnorted coldly, "I want to see why I would pay a high price for a housein such a place and then rent it to you. This is not like my style of doingthings. It's remote, the environment is ordinary, the traffic is notconvenient enough, there are no large long-term commercial plansnearby, and there is absolutely no room for appreciation.”
Joyce was speechless, he was the landlord and she could not blamehim for wanting to see his own house. As for why he would overpay fora house here, hell, how would she know?
She had no choice but to take Luther with her in the elevator to her ownapartment on the 14th floor.
There were a total of eight households on the floor, all of which weredecorated in a uniform Scandinavian style.
"Here we are, this is it."
She stepped out of the elevator and stood in front of the apartmentdoor, just about to enter the passcode to open it.
Luther suddenly reached out his hand, stopping her, and skillfullypressed a series of numbers himself on the keypad. "Drip-drip-drip!"After a few rings, the lock automatically opened.
"Strange, why did I know the code, as if I had used it before." Puzzled,he pressed the doorknob, pushed the door open, and walked into theapartment.
Joyce looked stiff. In fact, he did know the password. It was herbirthday, and it was the password she used before.
