You Hit My Heart -
Chapter 587
Joyce got out of the cab and the restaurant Justin talked about wasright in front of her.
She had heard of this restaurant and read about it in the promotionalpages in food magazines. While it was right in the middle of the city, thesurrounding had been surprisingly quiet. The layout and design of thisrestaurant used a pure European style, and the entire restaurant wassurrounded by water features. It was nighttime, and the lights were litup everywhere. The curtain-like waterfall surrounded the entirerestaurant, and now illuminated by all the lights around it, it looked likea neon rainbow under the starry night.
In the middle of the water, the path leading to the restaurant wasflanked by flowers, lilies and roses, red and white.
Every step was just romantic.
As Joyce walked, she felt that the atmosphere was a bit strange, andthe restaurant was too grandly decorated. Now it's dinner time, thereshould be other people, but there was actually no one in the room.
By the time she entered the restaurant, it was indeed just what shethought it would be.
Justin booked the entire restaurant and there was no one inside.
In the center of the dining room, there was a long French table coveredwith roses arranged in the shape of a "heart". The ceiling of therestaurant was decorated like a starry sky. The beautiful blue wasdotted with countless twinkling stars. For a moment, she wonderedwhether she was in a dream.
Justin, wearing a sky-blue suit, slowly walked out from the corner. Thathandsome pure face looked just like a bright moon in the sea of starsand shone directly into the depths of her heart.
Joyce had a guess already in her heart, as if she knew what he wasgoing to do. After all, she had been with him for a while and still knewsomething about him.
She subconsciously stopped her steps and started backing up.
Justin took a few steps forward and took her wrist to stop her fromstepping backwards.
"Joyce, I prepared this for you tonight, do you like it?" The brightstarlight reflected in his eyes and his sincere attitude made it hard forher to refuse him.
“It's beautiful. Thanks." She gently bit her lower lip and repliedawkwardly.
Justin took out a black velvet box and got down on one knee, "Joyce, this isn't the first time I've asked you to marry me. The last time, Icouldn't walk on my legs, I couldn't get down on one knee, and the ringwas plain. You are worth so much more than that and that time doeshot count.”
"Now, I formally ask you to marry me." He took her hand and openedthe black velvet box in front of her.
Under the illumination of countless spotlights, the blue diamond in thebox suddenly blossomed into a dazzling light.
“This is a blue diamond. I have searched for a long time and feel that itis the only one that can best represent my heart. It is clear, pure, andlike my feelings for you, it will never change. Marry me, Joyce, I loveyou."
His eyes showed infinite sincerity and earnest expectation.
The rare blue diamond, at the moment, emitted a moving and brightdazzling light.
Really, it was so beautiful. Even someone like her, who was indifferentto gems, was surprised by its beauty.
She was gently shaken within her heart. Justin liked her, and she knewthat long ago. All the things they had experienced together began toflash back in her mind. They had been so innocent when they first metand they had all those plain days and nights together. Indeed, they hadbeen through so many pains and struggles, but now, looking back uponthose days, she felt it was more like reading a story of someone else's.He was so attentive and knew her preferences well.
She sure could understand his obsession.
He didn’t even mind that now she was pregnant with someone else'schild.
Only, she couldn't do it. She couldn't accept his love. Not in the past, not now, and not in the future.
Justin trembled as he took out the blue diamond ring and held Joyce'shand, wanting to put it on her personally.
