You're the ONE I need -
Eleven
Leandro's POV
Time flies too fast now they're five months together from the day she was discharged from the hospital.
Everything turned out well; he did his very best to be a good and loving fiance to Lizzy.
He and Lizzy are comfortable living in the beach villa.
She never asks about her past anymore. About previous life, before she has amnesia. Maybe she feels that everything she needs is with him. He makes sure too that she belongs there with him.
As for him, he understands why he often hears people say, "Everything happens for a reason."
He understood why everything that happens has a purpose.
He was moved out. from a toxic relationship. That circumstance has been the best exit from being with those kinds of people from his circle.
He's with Lizzy right now.
Still, he cannot forget about his ex-fiancee at best friend. But he is thankful about what they have done.
Their betrayal brought him where he is right now, right with the woman that he knew and he could feel that is for him.
He already forgives them. Why does he have to hold grudges since he is blessed more than what he asks for?
He's happy and content with Lizzy's presence? Life with her is stress-free. He didn't worry about his business either.
Why should he? He has many workers to do it. If they let the business go bad, they will lose their income, not him. He has enough savings that will last until the next generation. And even to his grandchildren. He glanced at Lizzy, who's talking with Rudy's wife. They were seated on the sand under the talisay tree. They became friends since the day he brought her home.
Clara is their cook, and she's a very attentive person. She looks after Lizzy from the day she came home. She did a lot of help in looking after Lizzy, especially since he needed to go out for some important matters.
Lizzy glanced at him and waved her hands. He waved back. Lizzy, she has the most expressive eyes he has ever seen.
He remembered the day when they were still in the hospital; she asked him when he would be going home.
"Of course, Cara, you'll have to go home with me. You're my fiancée. And soon after your memory comes back, we will go on to our pending wedding." Her eyes became round in disbelief.
She closed and opened her mouth but didn't say anything. She glanced at the doctor who's inside the room and giving advice to him
Even the doctor has the reaction, though the doctor has recovered quickly.
Who wouldn't get shocked since they all knew that they didn't know her? Whenever he called Lizzy, the doctor looked at him but he didn't care. He found her, and if there's anyone aside from her family who has the right about her, it's him. But since there's no family who claimed her.
Then he's her immediate instant family.
The doctor noticed that the woman was waiting for some reply. He cleared his throat before he spoke.
"Yes, Lizzy, if there's any place that you'll be safe, that's the place of your fiancée. There's nowhere else. Beside, as soon as your memory comes back, you two will get married," he said, smiling at her.
He smiled at the doctor
"Well, thank you so much, Dr. Huffman, for looking after my fiancee. I'll send you the invitation as soon as she's back to herself," he continues
He smiled, remembering those moments at the hospital. He thanked Dr. Huffmann for helping him convince Lizzy.
Dr. Huffmann reminded him that though there's no specific treatment for amnesia, treatment can be directed at the underlying cause. To help enhance memory and get support can help people with amnesia and their families cope. Most people with amnesia have problems with short-term memory, so they can't retain new information. Recent memories are most likely to be lost. More remote or deeply ingrained memories may be spared.
She may recall experiences from childhood or know the names of past presidents. But they may not be able to name the current president, know the month, or remember what they ate for breakfast. It depends when her memory was invented
or real were misplaced in time. In her case, she forgot most of her identity. But eventually, as the days went on, you will discover that some memories will peep in a blur until they become clear.
For now, all he wants to do is give all the love and affection to Lizzy that will be enough to last so that whenever her memory comes back, she will also remember the good things he has given her.
