THIRD PERSON POV:

"Collect her daytime necklace, and she will burn in the presence of the students at school."

Fae's voice echoed in Hazel's head as she made her way back to the school building. As soon as she saw Bella and the triplets, she was drawn back to reality. Her brows furrowed at once as she walked up to them.

"I do not think I want to do this anymore," she said, and Bella grabbed her hand, walking her down the hallway that led to the boys' locker room.

The triplets followed them.

"She wants me to take your daytime necklace, so you will burn under the sun, and I will not do that," Hazel said. Then she turned to Ryder, shooting him an angry look. "You know we are in this because of you, right? Because maybe if you hadn't made her obsessed with you, we would have normal lives. But now, she keeps trying to kill Bella just because of you," she said, and Ryder kept silent.

They were quiet for a moment.

"I am just not going to do it, and I think you should marry your psycho ex," Hazel said, and then she made to leave when Bella grabbed her hand.

"You know I have a backup daytime bracelet, and I can use it," she said, and Hazel shook her head.

"Then she will come up with another plan, and I am tired of running in circles," she replied with a huff. "Bella, I know you always have a plan, but we barely make it out, and I am tired of Fae pushing us around. Can't I just zap her or something. Put her to eternal sleep, maybe." She added.

The bell for classes went off at once, and they all dispersed with the weight of the situation hanging in their minds. When classes were over, the five gathered again. This time, Hazel had a bright smile on her face.

"Did you discover gold or something?" Ryder asked in a sarcastic voice, causing her to roll her eyes, keeping her mouth shut.

"She has been like that since the bell went off, and she hasn't said a word," Bella said, throwing her arms around the twins and kissing their faces simultaneously before she went over to Ryder.

"I have a plan, and only if you guys say yes, then I won't pull out from this," Hazel finally said, and they all faced her. "I am going to hand Fae the necklace, but I want to get the consequences following it," she said, and everyone looked at her with wrinkled faces.

"What do you mean?" Kai managed to ask, and Hazel smiled at him.

"She will probably get detention when she tries to expose Bella to the sun. I mean, she plans to draw attention, so it will be false attention and bullying, which has new rules," she said, and Bella shook her head.

"What if it goes worse, and..."

"I want to get away from Fae because I cannot stand getting called or texted while I'm in class. She will have to sneak into my detention class, and she will get caught," Hazel said, and then she stared at the four of them, making puppy dog eyes.

"I guess we do not really have a choice," Finn said.

After lunch was over, they all headed back to the dorm. Bella went to her almost useless room with Hazel. As she stood in the mirror, she took deep breaths as her hands glided over the necklace, which had a red jewel in between it. Her father had given her the necklace, and it felt weird going an entire day without it because she had had it on for sixteen years and counting.

Finally, she unclipped it, pulling the piece off her neck, then she turned to Hazel, who stood with her face drawn down.

"Please do not let her destroy it, it would kill me," Bella said, handing the necklace to Hazel, who covered Bella's hands with hers.

"I'll look after it," she said, and then Bella let go.

Then she reached for her drawers, pulling out the bracelet, which was a backup. She clipped it onto her wrists, then she took a deep breath.

Hazel took the necklace, then she left the room, making her way to Fae's room. When she got to the door, she took a deep breath before placing a knock on it. As soon as Fae opened it with a smile hanging on her face, Hazel couldn't even force a smile.

"Is my little minion tired of serving me?" Fae asked, and Hazel ignored her, walking into the room. "Did you get it?" Fae asked, and Hazel opened her palms, revealing the necklace.

Fae grabbed it from her, staring at the jewel in between it.

"Vampire artifact won't really fetch me money, so keep it," she said, and Hazel felt relief, causing her face to lighten a bit.

"Now we wait and see how she makes it to school tomorrow. She will probably come out early before the sun sets and leave before dismissal to avoid students looking at her."

Hazel put up her hand.

"Yes, why are you interrupting my genius plan?" Fae asked.

"How about I do the exposure?" Hazel asked, and Fae raised a brow. "Bella is closer to me, and I can just pull off the cardigan or whatever she plans to cover herself in. It would be more difficult for you to do it," Hazel said, and Fae stroked her chin like she had a beard there.

Suddenly, Hazel's words made sense to her.

"You have a point, and this is why you are my favorite minion," she said, pulling Hazel into a hug.

When she pulled away, Hazel paused to catch a breath.

"Now you can go off doing your minion stuff," she said, and Hazel left the room at once, hoping that their plans would fall into place.
