300 Days With The Alpha Beta Triplets -
INTENTIONS
THIRD PERSON POV:
It was a sunny day in the Rune pack. Bella and her mates laid around doing nothing. The triplets barely knew any fun spots in the pack, and Bella was too lazy to pick out something.
"If I wait any longer without doing something fun, I might turn to stone," Kai groaned, tossing around to lie on his back on Bella's bed.
"Bella, come on. There must be something fun to do in this pack," Finn chipped in, and Bella sighed, placing her phone on her chest.
Herald walked past the hallway, and Bella spotted him, letting out a sigh.
"Dad, you need to stop!" she yelled, causing Herald to stop and peep into the room, waving at the boys.
"Good day, Alpha Herald!" they echoed in unison while Bella rolled her eyes.
Herald leaned against the door with his arms crossed.
"I didn't invite you in, Dad. You already asked for the door to be opened, and I did that. Can you stop making things weird?" she asked, and he stared at her without a word. "You're doing that thing again where you act like you don't understand what I'm saying. I'll be seventeen in a couple of months, and you can't keep treating me like a baby."
The triplets laid there in awkwardness, trying to distract themselves on their phones while Bella went off on her dad. "Fine," Herald managed to say, then he turned around and left.
Bella let out a groan, then threw herself on the bed. Ryder, who was bored to death, got up and walked to the window to get some fresh air. There, he saw some workers filling the pool.
"Why don't we go for a swim? They're filling the pool downstairs."
They all glanced at each other when he said this, then got to their feet at once.
"Finally, something fun!" Kai exclaimed.
The triplets left the room to get dressed while Bella threw on a pink bikini. She wrapped a robe around herself, while the boys only put on shorts. She met with them in the hall, and they all walked downstairs. Alpha Herald caught sight of her among the triplets, and when he saw she had a robe on, he knew she was in a bikini, reasoning that she wouldn't need to cover if she had swimming shorts on.
He didn't like controlling her, but the thought of her rapidly growing into an adult scared him. Maybe he should have had more kids, he reasoned. Then he would have a younger child who wouldn't hate him now because of their teenage hormones, which kept attacking them and whispering a million reasons they should hate their parents.
Bella and the triplets made their way to the pool. While Bella tried to remove her robe, Kai left the group, diving into the water and splashing some on them.
The others followed while Bella took her time removing her robe before getting into the pool using the stairs. Once inside, she took a picture, sending it to Hazel. Then she stayed in a corner, filming the boys who were racing to the other end of the pool.
"Boys will be boys," Hazel replied when she saw the video.
"So, when are you coming over?" Bella asked Hazel, and she replied with a 'shrug' emoji.
"Serious, Haze."
"It's a surprise."
Bella sighed at this.
The boys splashed water on her before she could text back, drawing her attention to them.
"Hey!" she yelled, and Finn dipped his hands into the water, throwing more at her.
She opened her mouth to speak, but they splashed more water on her, then slid in close, pulling her toward them. Ryder put his hands on her first, moving his fingers around her body, causing her to wriggle under his touch, then the twins joined in, tickling her hard. She tried to fight, but they overpowered her. Soon, the air was filled with her laughter-an ear-draining laughter that sounded like that of a maniac.
Bella tried hard to break free, but it was too much, and soon her phone slid from her hand, falling into the water. "My..." her body shuddered. "Ph... phone!" She pushed Kai away, and they stopped.
Finn dove into the water at once, retrieving her phone before it sank to the bottom. He remained there for a moment, clutching the phone in his hands, then made bubbles on the water's surface, causing the others to look at each other with fear in their eyes.
"Someone help..." before Bella could finish, Ryder went after him.
But when he entered the bluish depths of the water, Finn chuckled, pulling his head out.
"That's not cool," Bella said as he swam to her, handing her the phone.
She expected the others to support her, but they burst into laughter.
"You're all sick!" she scolded, but they didn't stop laughing, which made her roll her eyes and get out of the pool. She walked to one of the sun beds, sitting on it, then Ryder followed her. He took the sun bed close to hers while they watched the twins play in the water. She wiped her phone on her robe, then looked at it to check for Hazel's message, but there was none, which caused her to sigh.
"It's good to see you smiling again," Ryder said to her, and she turned to him, raising the corner of her lips. "I owe it to the three of you, though you can be assholes sometimes," she replied, and he chuckled.
His eyes darted across the compound, landing on the window upstairs, where he caught Herald staring down at them. He averted his gaze at once, and Herald walked away. He tried to hold himself back, but something in him couldn't shake off the fact that Ryder was Fred's son.
Ryder looked up again to see that Herald was gone.
"Hey, Bella." She turned to face him as he called out. "Have you noticed anything weird between your dad and me?" he asked, and she shook her head.
"Why are you asking?" She sat up on the bed.
"Because he looks at me weirdly. I think he hates me or something."
When he said this, she let out a chuckle.
"Don't be ridiculous. My dad doesn't hate you. I mean, he hates the three of you because he can't come to terms with the fact his daughter is grown and has sex with three boys," she said, and he laid back on the bed, looking up again, hoping to catch Herald's eyes, but he didn't.
He didn't want to push it further, so he just laid back, trying to keep an open mind.
When he couldn't, he got up at once.
"I'm going to get some water," he said to her, and she opened her eyes.
"Get one for me," she said, and he nodded, walking off.
He made his way into the house, then found his way to the kitchen to get water. Upon arriving, he walked over to the fridge, opened the door, and took out two bottles of water. The moment he shut it, he caught sight of a figure by his side, causing him to yelp in fear as he turned to see Herald standing with his arms crossed.
"What are your intentions with my daughter?" Herald asked, his brows creased.
Ryder opened his mouth to speak, but the words wouldn't come out. Then he let out a sigh, turning to face Herald.
"I know you don't like my dad," he began, but he regretted it as Herald's brows wrinkled. "But what Bella and I have is genuine. This is destiny. Plus, we're three, and we're supposed to fulfill some prophecy, so..." he paused, realizing he had only been spewing nonsense.
Herald unfolded his arms at once, then stared Ryder in the eyes.
"I don't care about any stupid prophecy, but if you hurt her, I will kill you, and you're correct-I don't like your dad." Ryder stood there without a word. He couldn't believe this was happening, and what he hated at the moment was the fact he had to be an Ashcroft. He wanted to be the Lycanthal's at that moment.
"I'm keeping a close eye on you, and you already know that, so watch your back," Herald added.
"Hey!" Hazel's cheerful voice pierced through the kitchen, and to Ryder's shock, the wrinkle on Herald's face vanished as he turned to face Hazel.
"You must be Hazel." He said, taking her hands, and she nodded proudly.
"Hazel Baudelaire." Herald opened his mouth to speak, and Hazel nodded again. "Yes, I am what you're thinking of," she confirmed his thoughts.
"Wow, Bella never told me she had a friend related to the Baudelaire's. I mean, she never tells me anything," he said, and Hazel's eyes landed on Ryder.
"Why do you look like you've seen a ghost?" she asked, and Ryder glanced at Fred, shook his head, and walked away with the bottles of water.
On his way, he opened one and downed the entire contents, trying to wash away what had happened, but the memory remained vivid. When he got outside, he flashed Bella a smile, handing her the bottle of water.
"Thank you," she said, opening the water to drink.
As soon as she brought it to her lips and took a sip, Hazel popped outside, causing her to spit out the water in shock. "Surprise!" Hazel screamed, rushing towards her.
