300 Days With The Alpha Beta Triplets -
MEET SEBASTIAN
Bella:
"Sebastine, my boyfriend," Hazel completed, and I stood still as if I had seen a ghost.
He bent down at once, picking up my books and handing them to me. As my hands grasped my books, his brushed against mine, giving me a feel of his flesh.
A part of me wished he were a ghost because he was definitely here to wreak havoc, and I already had Fae on my trail. I remembered Hazel's words from before, so I remained silent and shut my eyes, hoping to open them and realize it was a dream. But he was still standing there with a coy smile on his face, his hand stretched out for a handshake.
My eyes darted to Hazel, who wouldn't stop grinning like a child. Reluctantly, I forced myself to take his hand, and Hazel clapped in excitement before hanging her arm on his.
"I finally get to meet the alpha princess of my pack," Sebastine said, and I kept a straight face, wondering what lies he had told her. "Forgive my manners, I am Sebastine," he said, and I withdrew my hand, glancing at Hazel.
Seeing the excitement on her face made me get into character, as I didn't want to ruin her first day at school. I raised a brow as though I were confused about who he was, so Hazel left his arm, leaning forward to me.
"He is the Rune Pack Beta's son, and when he said you guys weren't acquainted, I thought he was bluffing," she said. I let out a brief chuckle, raising my brows like I was in bewilderment.
"Forgive my manners, Sebastine. I am so sorry, and I do not mean to treat my future subordinate in that manner."
His face scrunched up when I said this because it was something he despised, knowing he would be under me. Bonnie used to say that he probably wanted me so he could be Alpha, and she wasn't far from the truth, but she betrayed me.
"I cannot believe that I get to have the Alpha and Beta family of the Rune Pack as my best friends. Isn't this exciting?" Hazel squealed, peering into his eyes, while I forced a smile with my eyes boring into his, which he diverted to Hazel's. "He is so dreamy, right? Noah is going to get what's coming to him," Hazel said, clutching Sebastine's arm. I tried to hold myself from throwing my entire gut up.
Suddenly, the bell rang, and I breathed a sigh of relief.
"We have to get to class right now," I said to Hazel, and she grabbed Sebastine, dragging him with us to class while I wished the ground would suddenly take me so that I wouldn't be caught up in whatever drama was bound to unfold in the future.
My life was a mess, and I wished I could see if I would survive this or not.
We made our way to class, and I sat down close to Hazel as usual. There was no space left near us for Sebastine, so he had to sit a few seats behind, which was a kind of relief for me-or so I thought.
As soon as the teacher entered, the class quieted down, allowing the lecture to kick off. I tried to pay attention, but my phone kept vibrating in my bag, causing Hazel to lean close to me.
"Probably one of the triplets, waiting to get some of you," she said, rolling her eyes. I tried to concentrate, but the phone wouldn't stop beeping. I pulled it out, placing it under my desk, and took a peek.
It was messages from Sebastine.
"Touching you in months feels better than ever."
"I have waited for this moment since I met Hazel, and now there is no going back."
"I do not care if you have three mates. I want you, Bella."
I felt my stomach knot up unpleasantly.
"Text me back, Bella. I am dying to know how you feel. Do not tell me you have lost feeling because we both saw what you did to Bonnie because of me, and I know you still feel it."
The mention of Bonnie caused my chest to tighten, and soon I felt the air being drained out of the room. I decided to put my phone away and listen to the teacher, but it beeped again.
"You killed a girl because of me, Bella. Does Hazel know about that? Her boyfriend is so sexy that you can murder someone because of him. She will feel lucky if you told her."
This was the last straw. I put my hand up at once.
"May I go to the bathroom, please?" I asked the teacher. He granted me permission without even looking back to see who it was.
I stood up at once and dashed out of the room, making my way to the restroom. This had to be a mad joke. My mind was playing tricks on me, I told myself as I got into the restroom, staring at myself in the mirror.
"You are losing your mind, Bella, and this isn't happening," I said to myself, turning on the faucet and letting the warm water sprinkle on my face.
Then I looked up again, grasping the corners of the basin, taking deep and steady breaths. The moment faded when the door of the restroom was pulled open, and Fae walked in.
"Bella," she called out with a smile hanging on her face. "It appears you have run off in distress like you always do. What could be the matter this time? Because last time I checked, I am not on your tail."
The moment she spoke, my eyes widened. Could she know about Sebastine?
"I hear there's a new guy in school who happens to be from your pack. Could he be the reason behind..."
"What did you do?" I rushed at her, grabbing her collar, and she chuckled.
"An attitude like that will get you nowhere, as my mouth can do a lot of talking. Something to fire up the blog for the semester," she said, and I released my grip on her clothes. "I thought as much." She straightened her collar, then kept her head high. "The moment you breached our agreement, you crossed the line. I am not stopping, but I am too busy to get you for the semester, so I called back up. I hope you enjoy your gift from me this semester. Ciao."
She walked off at once, leaving me weak in the knees.
