300 Days With The Alpha Beta Triplets -
WHY SHE HATES VAMPIRES
Bella:
My walk back to class was slow and steady. I tried to gather every ounce of strength within me because I had to face Sebastian fair and square. He had no clue who Fae was or how she could ruin his life with one snap.
The moment I stood a few meters away from the classroom door, Sebastian walked out immediately, a smirk hanging on his face.
"Finally, I can be with you," he said, walking towards me. I tried to maintain my stance, unfazed by his aura.
He closed the gap between us, wrapping the ends of my hair around his finger, and took a brief sniff. I slapped his hand away.
"Do not touch me!" I gritted my teeth, and he chuckled.
"A few months back, you were begging to be touched by me." He whispered in my ear while I scoffed.
I never had sex with him because I thought it right to wait until we were sure about the mate bond, and boy, am I glad. But then he wouldn't stop pestering me, and a part of me thought it was one reason he cheated with Bonnie, aside from the mate bond.
I wanted a word with him, but his immaturity made me unable to stand him.
"Too bad you didn't get a feel of my body. I bet it gladdens you to watch Ryder and me getting down, and this waist- you will never touch it in your life!" I raised my voice, attempting to walk away, but he grabbed me roughly, digging his nails into my skin, causing me to yelp in pain.
I turned around, hitting his hand until he let go.
"I have everything I need to ruin you, Bella, and I am playing it cool because I love you. Do not push me!" He gritted his teeth.
"You have no clue what you are getting yourself into, and Fae isn't someone you can trust. Wait until she betrays you," I said. He scoffed, opening his mouth to speak, but then the bell rang, and a sound from the speakers blared, making us both jump slightly.
"Attention, students. Everyone is required to gather in the auditorium for a brief by the principal," the announcer said.
Students flooded out of the classroom, leaving us face to face with Hazel, who had a smile on her face. She rushed towards us, and Sebastian intertwined their arms together, giving her a kiss on the cheek while I stood aside with an eye roll.
"Where have you been?" she questioned, and I was about to speak, but Sebastian took the words from my mouth, saying, "She was actually helping me."
I feigned a smile when he said this, and Hazel pulled away from him, her brows wrinkling. She had fallen for him, and it was obvious he had spited her.
"It was difficult to get around the halls, and I missed my way to class until I bumped into Bella. She saved me."
She squinted her eyes at him, locking arms with him again, but I was drawn away by Finn's arms around my waist and a kiss to my neck. I turned around to see the triplets behind us.
"These must be Bella's boyfriends," Sebastian said to Hazel, drawing my attention to him. I could see how uneasy his face was, which gave me more power over him.
I took advantage of the moment, getting in between Ryder and Finn. Then I faced him and Hazel.
"This is Hazel's boyfriend, Sebastian," I said to them. They exchanged handshakes, which almost made me laugh as I watched Sebastian try hard to maintain his cool. I was about to speak when I saw my mother approaching from a distance. "We better get going," I said to them, and we increased our pace, heading to the auditorium.
Hazel grabbed my hand when we got there, ensuring we sat side by side with her at the end of the row. Kai sat next to me, followed by the rest of the boys, with Sebastian being the last. Something felt off about it, and I thought this was an opportunity to speak to her about him.
"So, why aren't you sitting close to him?" I asked. She shrugged, playing with the ends of her skirt.
"Is there something I need to know?" I asked again, and she sighed.
"Sometimes I think there is something wrong with him, but I think I love him, and I do not want this to go wrong. He doesn't want to go sexually, and I am so attracted to him. I mean, look at him."
It was a relief to know they hadn't had sex.
I rolled my eyes when she said this, and at that moment, my mother spoke into the microphone, her voice echoing through the entire auditorium. I was glad I didn't have to visibly look at him.
"Attention, students. I must say that it is good to have you back in full this session," she began. "The winter break hasn't been the best for us, as we all know about the tragedy that cut short the merry celebration," she added. I slipped my hand under Kai's, knowing how bad he would feel.
I immediately regretted not sitting close to Finn so I could hold him, too.
"While we mourn, it is important that we, as a school, look after those on the surface. Some rules have changed. Curfew is now at eight, and if you are found outside the school gate or even outside the dorms after eight, the school will not take responsibility for whatever happens to you..."
Hazel sighed multiple times as my mother spoke, which got my attention, prompting me to speak.
"Is this about Sebastian?" I asked in a whisper. She scrunched her face, leaning further into the seat, and then let out a vast sigh.
"No, I just hate that we have to compromise a lot of things because of a certain group of people. Why can they not just die?" When she said this, I swallowed hard, knowing she was talking about vampires. "I hate them so much that I would love to sit one on one with one of them, and I will rip them apart multiple times. They think they are so strong, but we keep beating them in wars, and..." she paused. "I just hate them!" she declared, her voice trembling with barely restrained fury as she curled her fingers so tightly that her knuckles turned white.
Her whole body seemed to vibrate with the intensity of her emotions while I tried to compose my racing heart.
My mother's words suddenly became unclear to my ears, and all I could think of was what Hazel would think if she knew I was a hybrid. But then, why did she hate them so much? I had to know.
"So, you hate vampires so much because of the compromised rules?" I asked. She paused her almost quiet rant, looking at me with a raised brow.
"Ha, are you new to this world? They have done nothing but wreak havoc since I was born. They just killed Finn and Kai's mum, and they killed mine, too."
Her words made my blood run cold.
