300 Days With The Alpha Beta Triplets -
A MONSTER
Third Person Pov:
Sebastian ended the call abruptly, his heart thumping hard against his chest. Bella's words about Fae echoed in his mind, and he struggled to keep his breathing steady as Hazel ran her hands over his chest. Gently, he pushed her off him, got to his feet, and made his way out of the room, his body trembling.
Maybe he shouldn't have shared too much with Fae, but now he had to over share. He wanted Bella, but he didn't want the 'Bonnie' secret out. He feared if he kept telling the story, someone would realize the loophole in it. Bella was so scared that night that it was easy to paint her as the villain.
The ringing of his phone startled him, causing his heart to skip a beat as he slid the answer button with shaky hands.
"In case you aren't aware of how things work in our school, I will school you, Sebastian. You have just a minute to speak, or you will wake up to the news of a hybrid being in school. The Beta's wife just died, and you will take the fall."
He swallowed hard. "Fae, please, I am trying to get some sleep, and my head isn't in the right place," he said, and she scoffed.
"And my head is in the right place? Ryder almost killed me today, and all he could think of was her. I hate her so much that I could literally kill her with my bare hands. What is it with you guys? I bet there are more guys in love with her. Why is that? What is so special about her? She has good curves, but she is a size ten!"
She rained down her jealousy on Sebastian, and deep down, he prayed she wouldn't remember the actual reason she called him.
"Now that is over, I would like to hear what I want," she said, and he paused for a moment, thinking of the best way to deliver the news to her. "I am losing my patience, and you know what? I am already typing on my computer," she said, and he took a deep breath, looking around to be sure he was alone. Then he told Fae everything about Bonnie.
Fae felt a chill up her spine when she heard Bella had murdered her best friend, and at first, she couldn't believe it because Bella looked so innocent.
"I made her think you already know, and that's probably why she has been trying to get you on her side," Sebastian said, and Fae chuckled.
"If I had known, I would have been carrying a stake my entire life. She killed her best friend over a guy who wasn't her mate. What about me? She wouldn't think twice before murdering me, but thanks for the heads up." With that, Fae ended the call, and Sebastian tossed himself onto the couch, throwing his head back, wondering if he had made a mistake involving himself with Fae.
When the plan went wrong, she would come back for more, and he might run out of resources. Maybe he should have let Bella go, he thought to himself. He kept doing things to keep her, yet none of them worked.
First, he became a hybrid just so he could match her level of strength when they became rulers of the pack. He couldn't stomach the thought of her being the alpha princess and him not being an actual alpha. Worse, she would be stronger than him.
"Argh!" Sebastian was cut short of his thoughts when he heard Hazel scream. He got to his feet at once, rushing up the stairs to the room, but he found it empty, which alarmed him even more.
"Hazel?" he called out as he dashed down the hallway, hoping that what he was thinking was wrong. When he reached the forbidden wing in the house, he saw her standing at the end of the hallway with a blank expression.
"Se... Sebastian." She blinked multiple times, trying to keep a straight face, but her heart was racing.
She shouldn't have gone into that room, she thought to herself, but now she knew she was living with a monster. The kind of monster that killed her parents. That room was a murder house with different animals slain, plus the freezer filled with blood bags. He was a monster.
"Are you okay?" he asked, walking towards her. She took slow, steady steps backward with her hands behind her, and a smile hanging on her face as she tried to calm her racing heart.
She had a stake with her, and she was willing to use it on him. She wouldn't be convicted for murder because he was a monster, and he needed to die. Bella was right, and she should have been more careful. All she wished at that moment was to grab her phone and tell Bella how right she was, but Sebastian wouldn't let her, and she was unsure if she would make it out of the house alive.
"Why are you moving backward like you've seen a ghost?" he questioned, and she gave a stifled laugh.
"Because I... I was thirsty, and..."
Sebastian, tired of the pretense, moved towards her with the speed of light. She pulled out the stake and shoved it forward, but he caught it with his hand, his eyes glowing red and his fangs becoming visible. Hazel transformed at once, clawing his face and head butting him, then she became a full wolf, charging towards him.
He grabbed her by the neck before she could strike him again, then slammed her hard onto the floor.
"You shouldn't have done that, sweetheart." As he said this, Hazel felt every bone and muscle in her body reset. She tried to get up, but the pain shot deep through her, causing her to fall back down, reverting to human form. "Please... do not kill me," she begged as he approached her.
He crouched down in front of her, running the back of his hand along her face as she gasped for breath, then he looked her in the eye. "You shall wake up with no memory of what happened tonight."
