5 Puppies For The Alpha -
Chapter 15
Dante touched his neck where the skin had regenerated, but was still tender. He growled, ruffling the skin of those present.
Edgar closed his briefcase after two days of guarding his alpha. Dimitri had returned just as soon as he felt a strange sensation given their bond as twin wolves, which did not bode well, and upon arrival his suspicions were born.
Now, Dante was in a very, very, very bad mood. He had been bitten by an omega, a mere omega, queen and all they wanted, but omega and he had been on the verge of death, after saving him.
Some things had to be put in their place and show who was boss. F**k him being afraid of alphas. He’d saved his life. Adopted him into their pack. Gave him his own b***d and this was how he was repaying him.
He sat up, pulling on the silk shirt he’d found over the back of a chair, leaving it open.
-Where do you think you’re going,” Edgar stepped in front of him and fell silent as he met the alpha’s eyes. He swallowed dryly and moved out of the way.
Dante, known as the benevolent one, only until he was assaulted, or someone close to him suffered the same fate. Falco had learned to behave this way from the best Master.
Dmitri followed him without a word. He knew that right now his brother was in full alpha mode and anything that bothered him was dead prey. Even him.
They stopped in front of the door where the wolf was. Two guards, plus his beta were there and greeted him with respect.
Falco was shocked to see his alpha there and so…out of the ordinary. He hadn’t worried about his image which he always wore intact. His black hair was loose and tousled in waves that had flowed back from his shoulder. His trousers were baggy, his shirt unbuttoned, barefoot and his gaze fixed on the door like someone waiting for a snack behind an obstacle. He really was to be feared.
-Alpha. We have kept the attack on you a secret. The cubs are confined to their rooms with guards. The beta of the Grey Pack was confined along with his people and they are being supervised.
-Is he back to his human form yet,” he asked dryly.
Falco thought he hadn’t heard the little report, but he knew his alpha trusted him enough to deal with the situation.
-No my alpha. He has been reluctant since that day. He maintains his wolf form. We haven’t given him food or water all this time, and we hoped that as weak as he is he would collapse at once, but he’s a tough nut to crack,” there were mixed feelings in his voice: fear and admiration.
Dante advanced towards the door and grabbed the handle, removing the latch, which was hardly budging. The door had lost stability and the frame was unbalanced by the constant pounding.
-Be careful, alpha,” one of the guards warned, “This wolf is still as aggressive as before.
Dante just gave him a sidelong glance and the wolf fell silent, walking backwards. The alpha stretched all 6’2″ of him and opened the door and closed it behind him without locking it.
He swallowed a g***n. The room was literally in ruins. The bed shredded, the sheets everywhere splattered with drops of b***d. Furniture bitten and others scratched. The window curtains all torn and the marks of fingernails and b***d on the glass were evident.
To one side there was a thin ball of hair that had his back to her. It seemed to be sleeping soundly amidst the mess of fabric. He could see how its paws had fresh wounds adorning its body in addition to those it already possessed.
He took another step without showing any expression. The wolf’s ears gently lifted to make way for its head to turn towards him. Two reddened orbs made an attempt to look at him.
The wolf struggled to its feet and faced him, baring its fangs and ruffling the fur on its back. The flaps of its nose twitched up and down as if trying to take in the scent of everything around it to see what was going on.
Dante did not move. The wolf had lost all control over him and was only acting on instinct, he had to be careful.
He took a step forward intimidating it both by his size as well as his scent, but that only had the opposite effect.
The wolf cowered even more in annoyance. His paws tensed in an attempt to maintain his weight, which worked against him, causing him to lurch sideways.
The alpha gently removed his shirt, letting it fall to the ground. He had seen how fast he was, he couldn’t risk making any sudden movements, not if he wanted to keep the b***d from flowing. It wasn’t her goal to kill him, not after everything that had happened. Besides the smell he was giving off now was making him uneasy. It was soft, sweet, he liked it.
He undid the button on his trousers and unzipped the fly to let the garment go with the other. The wolf recoiled, growling, misinterpreting the action. A wolf in front of him and alpha, naked, he could only interpret it one way.
Dante let a thick layer of black fur cover his body until he was on all fours in his wolf form that was more than half his size.
He growled. Loudly, loudly, it echoed through the room. The omega lowered his ears and tucked his tail between his paws, but without hiding his teeth. He was scared, but he would not stop fighting. Dante had put himself between him and the door, so getting out would be a feat.
The black wolf approached slowly, without hesitation. The other began to back away involuntarily. Survival instinct was greater than any. It stopped in its tracks and when the alpha was a safe distance away it took another bite at its throat. An action that Dante narrowly dodged and in response snarled, baring his massive fangs against its muzzle, hitting it without much force and knocking it back.
The alpha’s eyes were bright and menacing, his fur was ruffled making him appear larger and his breath came out in smoke from his muzzle.
The omega could do nothing as it circled him. His paws gave way and he fell to the ground on his belly, feeling the alpha then stand over him and drop down, holding him to the ground with his weight. His pounding heartbeat thundered in his back and made him feel so small with that beast on his body. The heat on him made him shudder, despite wanting to bite him, to tear at some limb he couldn’t reach as he held him tightly, only a low pitiful m**n came from his throat. The haze in his vision began to fade. The red iris was becoming clearer.
Still, he writhed beneath the alpha uncomfortable and terrified by his touch.
The omega, for the first time in his life, felt real fear. A different fear than Sylas’ fear of him. This one was more raw, more demanding, more animalistic.
It demanded his absolute submission.
