5 Puppies For The Alpha

As always, the Silver Pack parties were in style, and even more so when it was the birthday of the alpha and his twin, the Pack Commander. And Dante could feel that every year was better, especially because his family was getting bigger every day. She had a beautiful husband and five puppies to look after, although some of them were growing up very fast.

The bustle in the dining room was immense. The whole pack was together eating, drinking and laughing. It was a scene typical of a long-awaited celebration.

Dante was happy and showed it with a huge smile.

He had received many gifts. Maybe too many, like every year, only this time he was even more excited about his children’s gifts. Matias gave him a chain that contained a stone so light coloured and translucent it was identical to his eyes, Fallen gave him a strange book on the history of the packs that he didn’t even wonder where he’d gotten it from, but he loved it. Axel and Sacha had drawn a picture and painted it afterwards, showing the figure of a black wolf on top of a stone. In the corner there were some little spots in the shape of fingers and Aidan smiled when he noticed this, he knew that he had helped too.

And so he received gifts from Falco, Bastian, those sent by his parents, even from Lucian and the rest of the alphas of the other packs, destined both for him and his brother sitting at the same table, who also had a few gifts to his name. But there was only one thing that stood out to him.

Lukyan had not given him a gift.

She didn’t show it on her face, but she wondered if he would give it to her later, because even Dmitri had a present from him. It was true that she had been more attentive since the morning, where she had helped him from bathing to dressing, to combing his long dark hair and arranging his clothes so that he looked nice for the party. Still, he wanted a present from him.

-Is something wrong? -Lukyan cradled his cheek. He had sensed her discomfort through their bond.

Dante smiled and kissed her cheek. His hand caressed the thigh of the wolf sitting on his lap.

But Lukyan was very intuitive and he was sure there was more to it. He didn’t talk about it, just as he did. And so the rest of the afternoon passed. They ate their fill and when the time came, Lukyan asked Bastian to put his children to bed, despite their protests.

-It’s not time for the cubs to be awake anymore,” he told them with his hands on his h**s.

-But ma, it’s Pa’s birthday,” Sacha protested, grabbing Fallen’s clothes and faking puppy tears, “Let us stay up a little longer, please.

-Yes ma,” Axel wrapped his arm around Lukyan’s and copied his brother.

-Don’t make it harder for our mother,” Fallen finally intervened, seeing that the wolf’s face had been a little pensive since morning. Surely it was the alpha’s gift, which he had not given him. He was the most perceptive of the 5 brothers, so he had to help.

-Shut up Fallen,” Sacha told him, “You’re not helping.

-Mum, dad,” Aidan smiled oblivious in Fallen’s arms.

Dante, for his part, didn’t interfere. He felt that if he intervened he could take away his husband’s credibility, and that was the last thing he wanted. Parenting was hard and support was necessary, but his wolf was strong. And of course he didn’t give in. The strict sleep routine they had helped their development so that later they wouldn’t be headachy and absent-minded, as they were at the beginning when they were left to play too late.

Even so, Sacha and Axel continued to insist, so Fallen turned to his brother.

-Matthias, take care of Aidan,” he said, handing him the puppy, who clung to his brother’s shirt and sniffed his neck with a smile.

Fallen grabbed Sacha by the waist and put him over his shoulder while he held Axel and lifted him up as well.

-We’re leaving,” he said firmly.

The two pups began to protest and move around wanting to stay at the party, but already the adult wolves were starting to get drunk and that was a sign that things were going to get hot. Already many wolves had sent their cubs to sleep. The expected scene was not at all suitable for the younger ones.

-Ma, good night, sleep well,” Fallen blew his mother a k**s and nodded goodbye to his father, uncle and godparents.

Rodrigo copied him, though his gaze lingered a little as he passed Dmitri. And so they all left. Sacha and Axel still had a show formed, but Fallen had a firm grip on them with his strong arms.

Lukyan smiled, though he was not at ease. His heart was hammering in his chest. Dante’s arms went around him from behind and he kissed the mark on his neck causing her to lean her body against his.

-At last I have you all to myself,” he whispered, “I adore your children, however, sometimes I wish you would pay a little more attention to me.

Lukyan turned his face to receive a k**s on the cheek from his partner.

-I pay more attention to you than you think, my wolf,” he replied sincerely, “I’m just not yet open enough for you to realise all the things I learn from you every day.

-Hmmm, like for example?

-A gift that I know you’ll really like,” he said softly and with a slight blush on his cheeks.

Dante grinned wolfishly.

-I thought you wouldn’t give me one.

-If I give it to you here, I’m sure we’ll have to bury some bodies.

Dante blinked uncomprehendingly several times.

-Wow,” he exclaimed, “If you put it like that I’m sure I’ll love it. When can I have it? -his silver eyes twinkled.

Lukyan put on his serious face and pulled out of her husband’s grip. He walked over to Mitya and took his full glass of wine from him and downed it in one go. Dante had forbidden him to drink given the state he was in… and his pack as well, who encouraged him to compete with the others. Both Dmitri and Bastian, who was kissing Falco, who had already had too much to drink, stood and watched as their queen squared her shoulders and let out a sigh as she set the empty glass down on the table.

-Much better,” she said and waved goodbye with a faint smile to where Dante was. They watched him take him by the hand and the alpha made no resistance.

-Well, the queen is taking one of the most important hosts of the party,” Mitya poured his glass again.

-But we still have the other one here,” Bastian leaned his cheek against his husband’s. “As long as you don’t leave, we can still enjoy ourselves.

Mitya raised an eyebrow.

-The truth is, I have someone to spend my birthday night with too, and this time I want to make that wolf cry and scream until he begs for more….

-Stallion, easy there. For you to say such obscenities with the same face that Dante has makes him look like he’s dirty.

Mitya laughed.

-Not at all. I just like to enjoy s*x, and since I like that wolf so much I want to give him everything I can and have. Even drive him crazy for me.

-As long as you don’t kill him everything is fine. I don’t know if a certain person likes the idea. I’ll think about who my husband can propose as the next commander, just in case,” Bastian smiled mischievously.

And with that Dmitri knew that he already knew or had suspicions of who his current secret partner was. Something even the alpha didn’t know.

Dante trailed behind Lukyan with a grin as she dragged him through the corridors. She could smell the nervousness he exuded, and yet he smelled sweet. That was bad, she was getting excited.

When they entered his room he led him to the bed and sat him down.

-Stay here and wait,” he ordered, and that turned Dante on even more.

-As long as you don’t take too long,” she slid her hands down her husband’s thighs to squeeze his buttocks.

-It’ll be quick,” Lukyan slipped out of his grip and walked to the bathroom where he locked himself in.

Dante just stood there, even though he had unzipped his clothes, leaving only his trousers on. The clothes felt like a complete encumbrance and he really wanted to feel Lukyan’s skin on his.

She thought about the gift he could give her and there were so many possibilities that she couldn’t think of any specific one. But when the door opened and he came out with only one of his shirts on that clung tightly to his body covering… something, her mind stopped working.
