For those who saw Lukyan at that moment, they would think that he was totally calm, waiting for his alpha and the rest of the guards to return. But no, it was quite the opposite. Lukyan was trembling slightly and his heart was beating painfully in his chest.

A hand on his shoulder made him startle slightly and turn his head. Beside him was his son Matthias and he let out a sigh.

-Mother, you’re so tense.

He looked straight ahead as he squeezed his son’s hand in his own. A comforting warmth came over him. He looked outside, at the entrance to the manor, and in the distance there was still no sign of her husband.

-I’m worried,” his face was grim.

-Can’t you get through to the alpha?

He denied.

-He seemed to be in a dense situation and my voice wasn’t reaching him,” his words came out low, “I hope… I hope everything is all right,” he had to take a deep breath.

-Quiet, mother,” Matthias did something he hadn’t expected, wrapping his arms around him from behind and taking him in with his scent. It was light given that he was a young wolf who had only come of age a few years ago, but it was still so comforting, “I’m sure they’ll be fine. He is the alpha after all.

Lukyan smiled slightly and closed his eyes and laid his head on his son’s chest. He was able to calm down a little, but he was still quite distressed. He didn’t even want to think that something could happen to his partner, and they, the last thing they had been doing was arguing.

Their first big argument, if you could put it that way.

It was late at night and Lukyan was still at the entrance of the mansion. He had simply sat with his son beside him. He had spent the whole day on his toes, even thinking of all the possibilities. He had all the wolves on guard on the grounds in case of any emergency. His alpha, Commander and beta were not there, so that was their responsibility.

If there was an attack they were prepared to fight, but great was his relief when, in the distance, he began to see faint shadows and the glow of several golden eyes. The one that caught his eye the most was the silver one at the head of the group.

He stood up, dropping the blanket that covered his shoulders. Next to him Matthias copied him. They both waited for the group to reach them, feeling relieved inside. They were a little bruised and slightly injured, but nothing more.

Lukyan walked down the stairs and slowly approached Dante. She didn’t care what he had told her, at that moment she needed to touch him and know he was okay.

The alpha noticing his queen waiting for him gasped slightly. He was there and he smelled of concern despite his firm and serious demeanour, though he knew him and could feel it. He was a chaos of emotions.

He wagged his tail from side to side improving his mood. He had had to set things right when the hyenas had wanted to have their way with his boundaries. And he would not allow it. He had defended the grounds since he was a cub, no one would take them away from him because they felt like it.

Dante felt his husband walk towards him and he did the same, transforming into his human form and stopped in front of Lukyan. He had some light scratches on his chest and neck, but nothing that couldn’t be healed with a good night’s sleep.

Lukyan was trembling slightly. He could smell Dante’s b***d and his male pheromones all around him. He opened his arms and without thinking wrapped them around the wolf’s torso and cuddled into him. He didn’t speak, he didn’t say anything… he didn’t need to.

For those who saw Lukyan at the time would think that he was totally calm, waiting for his alpha to return and for the guards to come back. But no, quite the opposite. Lukyan was trembling and his heart was pounding in his painful chest.

A hand on his shoulder made him jump a little and turn his head. Beside him stood his son Matías and he let out a sigh.

-Madra, you’re so old.

He turned his gaze towards Adalanta as he clasped his son’s hand in his own. A warmth of comfort came over him. He looked outside, at the entrance to the mansion, and at the far end there was still no sign of his son’s hand.

-I’m worried,” his face was grim.

-Can’t you get through to the alpha?

He said.

-His words came out gravelly. “I hope… I hope everything is all right,” he had to draw a deep breath.

-Calm down, madam,” Matthias did something he didn’t notice, he wrapped his arms around him and took him in with his scent. It was lava given that he was a young wolf who had only a few years ago come of age, but it was still so comforting – I’m sure they’ll be fine. He is the alpha after all.

Lukyan smiled a broad smile and rolled his eyes and held his head to his son’s chest. He was able to calm down a little, but he was still quite anxious. He couldn’t even think that something might happen to his companion, and the last thing they had done was argue.

Their first big argument if you could put it that way.

It was late in the evening and Lukyan was still at the entrance to the mansion. Simplamanta, he had sat down with his son by his side. He had spent the whole day in the open, even thinking about all the possibilities. He had all the wolves on guard at the Tarranos in case of any bitterness. His alpha, commander and dressing gown were not there, so that was his responsibility.

If there was an attack they were ready to fight, but great was her relief when, at last, she began to see the shadows and the gleam of the golden eyes. The one who most attracted her attention was the silvered one who haunted the group.

He washed himself by dropping the blanket that covered his shoulders. Next to him Matías copied him. They both waited for the group to reach them, feeling relieved at the sight of them. They were a little bruised and with sore lavas, but that was all.

Lukyan lowered the ladders and pulled Danta’s lantern to his side. She didn’t care what he had said, she just didn’t need to touch him and know that he was fine.

The alpha, noticing that his queen was looking at him, tied the blanket around him. He would stand there and smell the worry as he walked past his signature holder and his secretary, even though he knew him and could sanitise him. It was a chaos of love.

Lukyan was shaking his head. He could smell the b***d of Danta and her male pharomones on his radiator. He opened his arms and without hesitation wrapped them around the wolf’s torso and hugged him. He didn’t speak, he didn’t say anything… he didn’t need to.

Dante’s arms soon wrapped around him and stroked up and down his back, feeling the various knots of tension in his muscles.

-Alpha,” Falco approached him, transforming, “Go rest, I’ll take care of the rest along with Mitya. You still have business to attend to.

Dante looked over his shoulder at the rest of the wolves, where most were in good condition, and nodded.

-Anything you need, you let me know.

-Don’t worry, focus on getting well, my alpha,” Falco bowed slightly, “Attend to your mate. I’m sure he needs your attention.

And Dante knew it too. He felt how Lukyan was in that moment, and he, as his mate, should comfort him, and above all apologise for how he had behaved. Ultimately, to fill him with k****s and caresses until he slept beside him, exhausted.

Leaning down slightly, she reached for her husband’s thighs and lifted him up so that he had to wrap his legs around her waist. Her arms sought his neck and she wrapped her arms around him burying her nose in search of his gland. Dante could feel him relax against her body.

-Thank you,” he whispered to Matthias as he passed him with a faint smile.

He responded with a nod of his head and kept it down until the alpha entered the mansion and a hand rested on his head. And of course he recognised that scent. A strong, wild scent that he liked, very much.

-Come on, pup. I need someone to heal my wounds, which are bigger than those of my brother.

Matias straightened up and nodded towards Dmitri. And a faint smile crossed his face along with the hand that caressed his cheek.

Dante opened the door to his room, and closed it with his foot and stopped in the middle of it. He was still carrying Lukyan who seemed reluctant to leave him.

-Love, would you help me take a bath,” he kissed his shoulder and the curve of his neck that was within reach, “Your husband had a hard day and his body aches.

It was at least two minutes before Lukyan moved. Dante let go of his legs and set him down on the ground as a pain shot through him from his stomach. He looked down and found his wolf’s clenched fist.

-Lukyan? -a grimace graced his face and he took a step back. It hadn’t been a hard blow, but it was a substantial one.

-Don’t ever treat me that way again Dante,” Lukyan’s eyes had darkened, “You have any idea what I had to go through today. Of all I thought something might happen to you and that the last thing we’d done was argue. That you were upset with me.

The alpha understood. He had to admit that his reaction to him not wanting to tell him what was wrong had been a little intense.

-My wolf,” Dante straightened up, completely ignoring the pain in his abdomen and smiled, “I really wanted to try something, but it got out of hand. I’m not mad at you,” he moved closer to him and took one of her hands between his, bringing it to his lips and kissing it, “I was acting childish, wanting to know what was bothering you and I acted offended. I thought you would chase me when I left the room that night, but… I forgot that you are different,” he kissed her palm.

Lukyan narrowed his eyes.

-So you were playing with me.

Dante knew he was stepping into the lion’s den, literally.

-My queen, that’s not what I meant,” he scratched his cheek, “Let’s just say I was a little frustrated that you don’t usually hide things from me… well yes, you hid your pregnancy from Aidan, and I thought it might be something just as important. My head got hot.

Dante ran his hand through his hair, tousling it. Lukyan could only stare at the wolf who looked unsure and it was all his fault. For keeping something as important as his insecurities from him.

And he knew he shouldn’t have. That wolf had taught him what pleasure was and how to enjoy it. Learning to love and want someone by his side, so….

-Dante,” she approached him, calming her voice and placing a hand on his chest, “Let’s give you a bath, heal those wounds, and I promise I’ll tell you everything afterwards.

She looked at him and her violet eyes focused on him. Dante couldn’t help but take her cheeks in his hands and bring her lips to his.

-I also want to talk and apologize properly,” he left a soft k**s on his partner’s mouth, “And let’s not go back to arguing over silly things, okay, my queen?

Lukyan couldn’t help but smile and wrap his arms around his wolf’s neck and deepen the k**s, wondering why he had hesitated.

-What, you’re not satisfying me? -Dante couldn’t believe what he was hearing coming out of his husband’s mouth.

After a soothing bath, where his wolf had run his hands all over him and finished with k****s and caresses, and his wounds had been treated, there was now Dante leaning against the back of the bed and Lukyan lying on top of him. One of his hands ran down the omega’s slender back.

Lukyan nodded his head and his face again grew grim.

-I know I’m young, and there are still things I don’t have the knowledge or the courage to do in the s****l sense, but I never thought it was affecting you. I’m strong in many ways, but I’m inexperienced.

Dante was wide-eyed.

-My beautiful wolf, who told you that,” the alpha kissed his cheek, “I am truly pleased that you are by my side. I have nothing to ask for. You gave me a family, a beautiful puppy and you are my partner in every way. If I even wonder how I made it so far without you by my side,” he left a soft k**s on her lips. I couldn’t stop kissing him.

Lukyan still wasn’t very pleased. Though at least the weight on his shoulders was lighter when he was releasing his worries to his alpha and he seemed to react well.

-Lukyan,” he brushed back a lock of his hair, “I don’t need you to rush. It’s really fun to teach you everything and learn together. Yes, it’s true that I would like something more, but we have plenty of time. When you’re ready we can try anything you want.

The wolf looked at him for a few seconds and nodded his head a little embarrassed that he had doubted him. Dante hugged him and kissed his lips softly. Delighting in the taste of them.

-So,” he pulled away just a little, “Who was the a*****e that made my queen doubt? -The alpha’s eyes glittered dangerously.

And Lukyan didn’t know if it would be a good idea to send his brother-in-law to the slaughter.
