Wolves were spotted regularly in that forest; police assumed that the body had been taken away bythe wolves. Since they had only managed to replace some torn fabric along with some blood stains thathad proven to be Sage's after the DNA test, they concluded their search.

Leah could not and would not believe that. She almost flipped the whole forest inside out lookingfor Sage; she wanted to see the body with her own eyes, dead or alive. Leah's feet were filled withwounds and blisters, she eventually passed out in the forest due to a high fever from the infectionsthat were festering in the wounds. Even though Sage's body was never found, her father and UncleBraxton rushed to hold the funeral just so they could get a share of the assets that were left to Sageby Uncle William.

“I've given you the title of CEO already, and now you're trying to have the Rosa Garden all toyourself? You can't just take everything and not share, that's selfish!” Zane slammed the table as heexclaimed grudgingly.

Braxton responded insistently, “One pain, one gain, Brax. I contributed the most to William and hiswife's accident. As for Sage, it was my daughter, Yeva who did the most. I'm just taking what Ideserve. What you have now is more than enough.”

"Oh, you ungrateful prick. If it wasn't for me risking my life to mess with their car, we would've neversucceeded.” Braxton scorned in disdain, “That alone wouldn't mean sh*t if it wasn't for me, ourbrother and his wife aren't stupid, I had to bribe their driver, and also made arrangements with theother party in order for it to succeed. I was the one who paid and risked it all, it's only right for meto receive the most benefits.”

"Fine, you know what? Take it. I won't be staying in the Rosa Garden anyway, seeing as how eerie is.”Zane eventually came to a compromise, but with a condition. “I don't care about anything else,aside from Norah Entertainment. I'll take over the management, since it's what I'm good at anyway. Iused to tell William to give me the COO title, but he refused! Otherwise we wouldn't have to go thisfar..."

"Fine, I'll give you what William couldn't. Since we're family after all.”

Braxton's face darkened as he said, "Our dear father thought the two of us weren't good enough, sohe adopted an outsider and gave him everything he owned. He even lied to us about the outsiderbeing his bastard child, bullsh*t! I can't believe I bought that sh*t and treated him like an elderbrother!"

“I genuinely used to treat and respect him as our eldest brother, too. But look at how he treated us,all I asked from him was an antique chinaware, how expensive could that be? He just wouldn't giveit to me.”

Zane said in disdain, “Say, he could've had a decent life, why did he have to push us this far?! Whatwere we supposed to do anyway, it's not like we had a choice!”

“It's all in the past now, let's move on from it."

Braxton raised his hand up to stop Zane from going on and continued, “After Sage's funeral is donewith, we'll take back our inheritance. All movable and immovable property will be split in halvesbetween us. I'll take the Rosa Garden, you can take the house in South Town. Don't say I didn't treatyou well.”

“That's what I'm talking about, you're the best.”

Leah kneeled before Sage and narrated the whole conversation that she heard that night to Sage.Leah even wrote everything down in her diary shortly after that as she was afraid that she mightforget about it. “If you don't believe me, I can show you my diary entry from that night...” Seeing asSage was so calm and without a single shift of expression, Leah assumed that Sage did not believeher and was about to go get the diary. Sage chuckled coldly. “Of course I believe you. To be honestwith you, I've read that diary before.”

Leah froze in astoundment.

“What?”

Sage looked at Leah, her eyes were cold as the Antarctic, her tone dead as the still water.

"Why do you think I faked my death and supposedly came back to life? In those three years of myabsence, I collected every single detail and proof, enough to send Braxton and Zane Norah to jail.”
