Chapter 357

Yoel laughed and said, “What an epic wedding, the opening was a romance drama, and it escalatedinto those absurd family television dramas. It finally ended with a comedy... Tsk tsk, what aninteresting journey filled with plot twists.” He then looked at Sage and said, “What a talented cousinyou have there.”

Sage could not agree more.

Yoel looked over at Jace and said, “The amount of chaos and drama in this wedding is almost asgood as yours. It's definitely worth coming.”

Jace glared coldly at him, wishing he could sew Yoel's lips up.

Sage looked up and smiled. “Isn“t that right? Mister Jace's wedding was so unforgettable, thememories were still fresh in my mind.”

Jace gulped as if his throat had been shot by a bullet, he looked down without saying anything.Sage did not expect a response from him. She waved goodbye and left the scene along with Leah.Inside the car, Leah seemed to have not calmed down from the chaos earlier, as she was stillstunned.

Sage looked at her and asked, “What's up? Still shocked from what happened?”

Leah looked at Sage and nodded.

"Sage, who was that woman just now? She said she had Julian's baby. Is that true?”

OM

Sage responded calmly, “Her name is Queenie. She's been with Julian for quite some time already.Yeva was aware of it as well. As for the baby, I don't think she was lying. Since it could be easilyverified from a simple DNA test. However, you could tell from Julian's expression that it was realregardless of the DNA test.”

Leah pursed her lips. “Well, then, what happens to Yeva now? She just got married. Is she going todivorce him?”

“Divorce?” Sage scoffed, “A woman who could bear her partner for cheating on her before marriagewould be completely fine with him cheating after they're married. She looked past it once, whichmeant it would keep happening. Even if Julian brought his mistress home as a second wife, Yevawould be with it as well. All she wanted was just the title of Missus Jefferson.

“I don't get it.”

Leah shook her head in confusion. “Why do women tolerate such things? What's the point of amarriage like that?”

“Not every woman would be able to tolerate things like that. Everyone wants different things in life. Some people seek for a title, fame; while some seek for nothing but true love.”

Sage said as she scoffed coldly, “However, title and fame are attainable. True love, on the otherhand, takes more than hard work. If it's you, what would you choose?” Leah thought about it for asecond and said, “I can fight for fame and title myself, but I wish the man I married in the futurewould love me wholeheartedly. If it's not true love, I'd rather not want it.”

“Smart. That's what you, Sage’s sister, should be like,” said Sage with a smile on her face as shepetted Leah's head.

Leah smiled shyly, and asked, “Sage, where did Hunter go? I saw him run outside in a hurry as if hewas busy with something.”

"He's fighting for his year-end bonus,” Sage said scornfully. Seeing her bitter face, Leah did not askany further.

As they were turning into the Rosa Garden, they could see from a distance that there was a mansquatting by the entrance with a pipe in his mouth. Hunter and his people were standing by with anumbrella by the old man’s side; their faces were unwilling. The men looked relieved the momentthey saw Sage’s car pulling up.

Leah got out of the car. She looked at Hunter and looked at the old man squatting on the floordumbfoundedly as she said shakily, “Grand... Grandpa?”

Sage got out of the car as well. She looked at the old man with her lips pursed into a straight line. The old man felt uneasy being stared down as he poured the ash off the pipe and put it back in hispocket.

The old man patted the ash off his hands and shirt. He looked up and extended his arms as hesmiled mischievously, “My dearest girls, come here and give your Grandpa a hug.”
