Chapter 398

Nigel and Sage rushed to the hospital. Upon arriving at the door, they saw the nurse walking out ofthe ward with Lulu, who was covered in blood.

She was injured by sharp objects in many places, including her back, calf, and ankle. Her white T-shirt was stained with blood. The glass fragments stuck on her calf looked appalling.

Nigel's usually warmed face changed greatly. He took a few steps forward and asked, “What'swrong? What happened to her?” Sage furrowed her brows tightly and said in a low voice, “Hurry upand send her to the emergency room.” The ward was a mess. The side lamp, bowls, and vase shardswere all blood-stained. Asher was also injured, but not as badly as Lulu.

The nurse explained to them. It was Lulu who rushed over in time and stopped Asher. She huggedhim, but as a result, she was crushed to the floor and was injured all over.

There was a loud quarrel in the morning. A loud crash followed after that. No one knew what wasgoing on.

Sage was angry seeing Lulu’s injuries and the pain on her pale face. She burst into anger andwanted to rush into the ward and beat Asher!

Nigel suggested letting him deal with Lulu’s injury and told Sage to check on Asher.

“I don't want to go.” Sage said with a cold face, “If you want to, you can go.” Nigel could not affordto offend Sage, so he agreed. “Okay. I'll go check on Asher’s situation and leave here to you.”

Lulu lay on the hospital bed. Meanwhile, Sage handled her injuries. The injury on her calf was nottoo bad. The worst injury was on her back. A piece of broken porcelain shard was stuck nearly fourcentimeters deep.

If it went in a little deeper, it would have injured her organs.

The blood flowed nonstop like a small river. The bandage was dyed red one after another.

Sage remained expressionless and calmly sutured her wound. She gave her anesthesia in time, butthe pain was still unbearable for Lulu. She had silky smooth skin and was obviously a pamperedlady. Her originally smooth back was full of injuries and blood.

The nurses who were used to seeing wounds felt pain for her as well.

Lulu lay on her stomach quietly. Her face paled in pain. The veins on the back of her hand werebulging as she clutched the bedsheet tightly. She was suffering in extreme pain, but she bit her liptightly and did not make a sound.

She was a strong and equally stubborn girl.

Sage completed the suture quickly and finally cut the thread with the scissors. She said to Lulu,“Your injury is so severe. Even if it heals, there will be scars.” Lulu pursed her lips and forced a weaksmile on her pale face. “Thank you... Dr. §, I...... I'm fine

It seemed that even breathing was painful for her. She said two words intermittently and then askedwith difficulty, “How's Ash? Is he okay?” Sage looked unhappy and said, “Don’t worry. He won't die.”Lulu remained silent, but her face was full of worry. She asked with a pleading tone, “D... doctor, I'mfine here... C...can you check on him for me?”

Sage asked sternly, “He has hurt you like this. Why are you asking me to check on him?”

“N. He didn’t hurt me.”

Lulu was so in pain that her eyes were losing focus. She rested her face against the bedsheet. Astears fell silently, she said, “He wants to break up with me, but I refuse. He wants to drive me away, but I don't agree... Then, he got angry.” “Stop spoiling him!”
