A Relentless Pursuit for Love -
Chapter 404
Chapter 404
Sage's sarcasm made Sienna burn in anger. Sienna always assumed that she could easily pesterSage as she liked. Perhaps it was because of her first impression of Sage.
Since Sage gave off the impression of a friendly and soft person during their first meeting, Siennanever learned her lesson.
Sienna was not the only one angry. Even Luna was furious at Sage. She cursed, “Ha! She's from theNorah family, but she's so rude! It's no wonder Jace divorced and disowned her.”
The last part was directed at Lucas. Lucas did not answer her. Instead, he said solemnly, “Don't fightwith Sage again. You won't beat her.”
Then, he pulled his arm away from Luna's hand and got into the car first.
Luna stared at Lucas's back and felt a little lost. Somehow, she felt uneasy.
It was not the first time he had pushed her away. She wondered if she was getting too old for him.Somehow, it felt harder to keep his love... “Luna, what did Uncle Spencer say? Why can't we beatSage? If you didn't stop me earlier, I would've fought her!” Sienna was angry and resentful. Herdelicate appearance was just a facade. During her years of living overseas, she mingled with the girlsthere and fought a lot with others. She could easily teach Sage a lesson.

Luna lectured her niece with a straight face, “Enough! Are you trying to make things worse for me?Don’t come to me anymore if you can't handle things calmly! Otherwise, you'll drag me down whenyou faill”
Sienna was unhappy with Luna's lecture. She quietly thought in her heart, “Don’t you depend on aman too? How are you any better than me?’
Unfortunately, she was still weak and had no support. Her parents were not helping, so she had torely on her Aunt Luna.
“I understand, Aunt Luna.”
Sienna tolerated it and laid low. Then, she tried to ask pleasantly with a pitiful look, “Aunt Luna, didn’t you say you want to help me get justice and teach Sage a good lesson?”
Luna snorted softly, “What's the hurry? We aren't even sure about the enemy's strengths andweaknesses. How can we crush her immediately? You should focus on gaining a firm foothold inUniversal Channel and winning Jace’s love again.”
When Luna mentioned Jace, Sienna lowered her head in frustration.
She could not understand the reason behind Jace’s change in attitude. He used to be so nice andsupportive of her. Only a few years and months had passed, but he no longer cared about
her.

His eyes were focused on that annoying woman, Sage!
Sage made the two ladies from the Zelda family very worked up, but the minor hiccup did notbother her at all.
When they got into the car, Hunter complained, “The Zelda family prides themself as a scholarlyfamily. Why are the girls from the family so low and annoying? They're so petty!” Sage was checkingher work email on her tablet. Upon seeing Hunter's intense anger, she chuckled. “They have nothingto do with you. Why are you so angry?” “I just can't help but feel angry!” Hunter worked by Sage’sside for a long time, and he learned a lot. If he looked closely, he could easily tell the other party'strue colors in a short time.
Luna and Sienna were not very hard to deal with. They were just annoying.
“The Zelda family started off as a family of scholars. Their ancestors won many awards, butunfortunately, their descendants did not follow the family’s path. They wanted to expand intobusiness and politics, but they wasted family’s fortune and declined.”
Sage massaged her temple and said faintly, “When it came to Sienna’s father’s generation, thefamily was nothing more than an empty shell. Unfortunately, he's terrible at business management, and he owes a lot of debt.
“Therefore, he could only try to maintain the family’s image as a scholarly family while attempting toclimb up again by forging alliances with powerful families through marriages.”
It was customary for wealthy families to ally by marriage. A prestigious family would stronglyemphasize nurturing their young with elegance. Powerful families might not necessarily have tomarry the powerful, but they preferred to marry a virtuous wife from a scholarly family to nurturethe next generation well.
