Chapter 424

When Melody learned that Sage and Yoel were going to the racecourse, she bugged them to let hergo as well.

"Aunt Sage, can I go as well? I've always wanted to learn how to ride a horse, but my old man neverlet me. How about you teach me?”

She tugged on Sage's arm and lifted her head to face her. She eagerly looked at Sage with twobrilliant eyes that were filled with excitement. Anybody who saw how eager and adorable shelooked would have found it difficult to say no to her. Sage was no different.

“You have to behave yourself. Don't fool around when you're there.” Sage stated her conditions.Melody immediately held three fingers up happily as if she was swearing an oath."No problem!"Kid, how about if you address me as brother again, I'll teach you how to ride a horse?” Yoel raisedhis eyebrows and teased her while he showed his most charming smile.

Melody pouted her lips with dissatisfaction. “Can you stop calling me a kid? i'm already seventeen!”“I'm about the same age as your father, so you'll be a kid in my eyes.” —

Yoel was thinking if had also had a child in his 20s like Ross, then even if his child was not as old asMelody, his child would have been almost eight years old. The thought of that out a shiver up hisspine. “Why are you unhappy when I call you an old man then?” Melody realized that this personwas too self-contradicting. She looked at Yoel. “Who exactly are you to my aunt? It's very clear thatyour personality isn't her type.”

Yoel was speechless.

He was caught off guard when she attacked him with hurtful truth. “What kind of personality do Ihave? What's wrong with my kind of personality? Am I not better than Jace, who is so cold that he'sfrozen solid? To be honest with you, I'm really your aunt's boy.” Sage shot a cold glance at Yoelwhich made him choke back his words instantly. He was going to say boyfriend, but he forcefullychanged it to admirer.

“-I'm your aunt's admirer.”

Melody immediately understood what he meant. “Oh, so you're going after my aunt.”

Just when Yoel was going to nod, she immediately added, “You've got no chance then.”

Yoel was speechless. Melody said seriously, “My aunt never liked my father, so of course, she won'tlike you.” Yoel was speechless and the only thing he could do was sigh.

“I don’t mean that.” Melody stopped him from rolling his sleeves up and chuckled. “What I mean isthat your personality is almost the same as my father's. Both of you don't look reliable. Both of youare not my aunt's cup of tea.” Yoel was speechless. He still wanted to smack her, but he held backthinking of the consequences. What kind of nonsense is she talking about? Does he not lookresponsible?

After they finished breakfast, Sage instructed Zamora to keep an eye on Yeva. “If she is well-behaved, then just let her eat and drink as she pleases. If she dares to make trouble, kick her out. Ifshe wants to die at the hands of the Jefferson family, then she can create all the trouble as wants.”HI

The Rosa Garden was not very soundproof. Sage also did not deliberately speak softer. She knewthat Yeva could hear her. The volume that she spoke was meant to reach Yeva's ears. As they wereabout to leave, Hunter also came in. Leah handed the breakfast that was packed to him. “Youhaven't had breakfast yet, have you? Here you go.” Hunter accepted it and grinned from ear to ear.“It's great to have a wife.” Everyone was speechless after they were forced to watch them displaytheir affection publicly so early in the morning.
