Chapter 427 Sage's face immediately dropped. She rushed toward Melody while she shouted, “Stepdown on the stirrup, hold on to the reins and hug the horse's neck!”

Right when Sage finished shouting, she noticed that Yoel had already gotten up on his horse andgalloped towards Melody at full speed, “Giddy up!”

Yoel leaned forward and spurred on his horse.

On the other side of the course, Melody felt as if her insides were about to be turned inside out bythe tumultuous course. She could vaguely hear Sage's words, however, she could only make out thelast part of the sentence. As such, she immediately hugged the pony’'s neck for dear life. Melodyclosed her eyes and screamed in her mind, “Ross, I know you've always wanted to beat me up, butyou can't use this horse to do your bidding! I don't want to die yet! I'm your daughter!’

Suddenly, Melody felt something other than the galloping of the horse, she could vaguely feelsomething grasp the back of her neck. Shocked, her hold on the pony’s neck tightened.

A voice rang beside her ear, “Let go!” Without thinking twice, the authority and confidence in thevoice caused Melody to release her hold on the pony immediately. Melody felt as if Ross was hereto save her and let go of the pony just as she was told. The next

thing she knew, she was picked up like a toy and steadily placed on horseback.

After saving Melody, Yoel put his hands in his mouth and let out a sharp whistle. The pony that wasoriginally sprinting down the course immediately stopped dead on its track.

Melody could not believe what was happening. How could the pony react so differently to what washappening just now!

Just as she was wondering what she did wrong, a sarcastic voice drifted over, “I never expectedsomeone to almost fall off a simple pony ride.”

Melody pursed her lips and stayed silent. She was still shocked by the series of events andadditionally, all the accumulated emotions that were bottled up because of the big fight with herdad exploded. She had finally reached her breaking point. Her eyes went red and a snivel escapedfrom her throat.

Yoel stiffened as he stared at the back of Melody's head.

Immediately after the snivel, Melody broke down into tears. Melody started bawling her eyes outwhile on horseback ride back.

Yoel was shocked by the sudden outburst from Melody. He subconsciously reached out to coverMelody's mouth but instead, he felt the tears soaking into his gloves. “Wait, seriously? Is she actuallycrying?’ Yoel thought to himself.

Tears streamed down Melody's face uncontrollably, it was as if a switch inside Melody turned

on and everything came pouring out. Yoel had absolutely no idea how to comfort her at all. Eventhough it wasn't the first time Yoel encountered a woman crying, it was the first time he made a girlcry. Back in the day, whenever a woman cried because he was breaking up with her, he just keptgiving her money until she was satisfied and he would go on his merry way.

This time round it was different, he felt almost... guilty. Like he somehow bullied Melody into

tears.
