Chapter 640

Sage took the airplane model for a polish. Sage looked at the glistening model and could not helpbut feel proud at the nigh-perfect reproduction of an airplane. She made sure that the airplanewould be sent to Yale. Sage could only try to entertain herself, seeing that she could not leaveMeadow Castle. Tim also stayed back to make sure that Sage was safe. Sage went to the kitchen, she wanted to at least cook something for her brother.

Meadows castle kitchen was similar to a professional restaurant's kitchen. Everything was designedto produce top-notch french cuisine.

However, Sage felt a little bit homesick and decided that she would instead make some humbledumplings. After putting on an apron and a chef's hat, Sage added some water to the flour andstarted kneading the dough. Sage also decided to whip up a chicken stew on the side.

All the ingredients that Sage used were curated specifically according to her instructions and weremade so that her brother would be able to taste the authenticated version of the dish and not somecorner-cutting dish.

After leaving the dumplings in the steamer, Sage cranked up the hob and started to make theaccompanying dishes. Even if Sage was simultaneously cooking with three different, she was clearlyin control and she could still hum while cooking.

Tim on the other hand was just done with work and was wondering why his meal wasn't ready yet. Before he could call for the butler an alluring aroma drifts into his room and his mouth started tosalivate.

A sudden knock on his door jerked Tim back to reality. “Come in,” said Tim. Sage pushed the doorajar and poked her head through. “Food’s ready.” Tim walked out with Sage and saw the wholespread of food laid out on the table.

“You cooked?” asked Tim.

“Yup. It's been quite some time since you last tried my cooking. Make sure to savor the food, andtell me if I've improved or not,” replied Sage as she pass the cutlery to Tim

Tim on the other hand could not wait and dig in. The moment the food came into contact with histongue, Sage could swear Tim's eyes lit up.

The familiar taste of home cooking was something that Tim missed.

"How is it?” asked Sage.

“Splendid,” replied Tim.

“It's all yours,” replied Sage. Brother and sister sat opposite of each other and dug into the foodwithout another word.

Tim could still vaguely remember his parents taking the time to cook for them despite how busytheir schedules were.

Eating together as a family was one of Tim's best memories of his childhood.

Little Tim would never have guessed that the warmth and comfort of his family would not last.Whenever Tim faced any adversities, his childhood memories were always a safe place for him to fallback on. Sage, on the other hand, watched intently as Tim devoured her handiwork. “How is mycooking compared to mom's?” “You are quite close to hers,” replied Tim.
