Chapter 807 As they walked outside, Sage took the initiative to start a conversation. It seemed likeshe was trying to break the awkwardness between them

“Zayne is coming to pick us up. Do you want to put on a mask first? He might faint from shock.“Okay. I'll put it on first.” Jace was very obedient toward Sage. He put on the black mask and said,"Actually, fainting isn't a big deal. I'm afraid he might cry.” “Yeah. He's a crybaby.”

Sage thought of the days after Jace's funeral. Assistant Zayne looked like he was just widowed. Hewas always crying as if his soulmate had just died.

When they got to the exit, Zayne was already waiting there. He waved to Sage from a distance, buthe froze halfway. His smile stiffened.

Why did the man in the mask look so much like his... boss Mister Jace? Did he mistake him for Jace? However, this man in the mask and his long legs really resembled Jace! Did Sage replace herself a Jacecopy?

Zayne's imagination went wild. He thought of a tragic love story between Sage and Jace's double. The familiar figure walked forward and came closer. When he finally stopped in front of him, thefamiliar eyes just stared at him.

"Assistant Zayne.” It was a familiar low and deep voice.

Zayne stiffened. “Jace... Mister Jace.”

Sage arched her brows. “Not bad. You're calmer than I thought.”

The moment Jace removed his mask, Zayne pounced on Jace and gave him a bear hug. Then, hestarted sobbing loudly, “Mister Jace! You're still alive!”

Sage was lost for words. She came to the conclusion too quickly.

Obviously, Jace knew his own assistant better.

“Mister Jace! Is it really you? You're still alive! I knew it! I knew you lied to me! How could you die soeasily! I knew it! I was so sad!”

Zayne's loud wailing attracted the pedestrians at the airport to look this way.

Many people recognized Sage and shouted her name!

Sage hurriedly put on her mask and said to Jace, “Let's leave now! Otherwise, we'll get stuck!”"Okay," Jace answered. Then, he told Zayne, who was still whimpering in his arms, “Get a grip ofyourself. Get in the car and cry later.”

"Yeah, yeah... But I... I can't move at all,” Zayne sobbed.

Jace helplessly dragged Zayne to the car. When they finally got into the car, Zayne was still notdone crying. He wiped his tears and looked at Jace. “Oh my God. I'm not dreaming, am 1? Am 1

still dreaming?”

He repeated this phrase over and over again like he was in a daze.

Sage could not stand him anymore. “I swear you're not dreaming. Hey, you're a man. Why are yousuch a crybaby? Aren't you ashamed?”

Zayne sobbed. “This has nothing to do with being a man. You're supposed to be dead, but you'realive. This is a big shock for anyone. I'm already doing much better.”

Jace could not stop laughing and teased him, “I'm glad you still remember me. I'm so honored,Assistant Zayne. I thought you'd forgotten about me when you got a new boss.” “That's not true. I'ma nice person.”

When Zayne blew his nose, Sage and Jace looked at him in disgust. Even the driver scowled indisgust.

Soon, Zayne finally calmed down. Sage said to Jace, “We're almost at the old residence. Do youwant to call Aunt Freya first?"

“Yeah.” Jace nodded and fished out his new phone. As he dialed the familiar number he memorizedat heart, he began to feel nervous and clenched his hand.

Sage looked down and noticed his clenched fist. Immediately, she understood his inner struggleand nervousness. She had not thought much about it and gently took his hand

When her warmth touched the cold back of his hand, Jace’s heart pounded heavily. He turned tolook at her. At the same time, a familiar voice came from the other end of the phone. “Hello? Who isit?”
