Alpha And Luna
Chapter 19

He smiles and offers me his arm, which I gladly accept. We sit down in the car and set off in the direction of my surprise. After a while, we stop in a field, there's a path of rose petals and further on, there's a table. He gets down on one knee and I start to cry.

-It's beautiful, why did you do all this?

-Freya Tompson, I love you with all my heart and I want you to be my wife, so would you agree to live the rest of your life with me and the child you are carrying to signify our love?

-Yes!

He puts the ring on my finger and kisses me.

Present

He takes my hand and pulls out one of the two chairs so that I can sit down.

-Thank you, my love.

-It's a pleasure, my love," he says, smiling.

He was reading the menu and concentrating on it, with a serious look on his face and a tight set to his jaw. I looked at him and couldn't help thinking that I had the most beautiful man in my life. At this thought I smile. -Why are you looking at me like that?

-Because I think you're very handsome and because I love you?

-So it's all right with me.

We order our meal.

-If we have a daughter, what would you like to call her?

-I don't know yet, you choose.

-No, I want us to choose together.

-OK, but if it's a boy, I'd like us to call him Evan.

-That's very pretty, why?

-Because that was the name of my best friend when I was younger...

He doesn't look at me, he just stares at a spot on the ground, his eyes blank.

-I'm sorry, he says.

-You don't have to be sorry Freya, he wasn't just my best friend, he was my older brother and he died because of me. You know Freya, you're not the only one with a dark past and before I met you, I was the worst person on earth. I killed to kill, to get revenge on my brother...

I place my hand on his, he raises his head and fixes his gaze on mine.

-Forgive me, I know I haven't always been the best soulmate for you, I've been selfish...

-No, Fabien, we haven't been the best for each other, but I've been worse. I wanted to avenge the death of my family and once I'd taken my revenge, I didn't feel any better, even worse than I already was. I wasn't there for you and I blame myself enormously. -We haven't been a good couple, would you like to start again? I know we're having a baby, but if we just pretend it never happened...

-I agree, so my name's Freya Thompson and I'm 17, my parents and brother are dead, but I've got my revenge and everything's working out for the best. I'm getting married to the man I love most in the world and we're both expecting a baby, a little boy to be precise. Fabien is giving me the stink eye.

-So I'm Fabien Brazeau, I'm 21 and I'm living with the love of my life. I proposed to him not long ago, even though I'd had the ring for a long time. I was just afraid of the reaction she was going to have when I asked her. We're expecting our first child and I've just found out it's a little boy, I'm the most fulfilled man on this earth.

I've got tears in my eyes, probably because of the hormones.

-I love you Fabien.

-I love you too, Freya.

We kiss and then our meals arrive.

After we've eaten, Fabien takes my hand and leads me onto the sandy beach.

-Would you like to go in the water?

-Yes, but I don't have a swimming costume.

-What's the point? It's not like I've never seen you naked.

That's true, so I take off my dress and underwear and run to the water, which is still warm. Fabien arrives and lifts me up, I wrap my legs around his waist and kiss him. I feel a lump forming under my intimacy and rub against him a little. Fabien grunts against my lips. -Freya, if you don't stop right now, I'm going to make love to you like never before.

-Did I want to?

We meet on the beach, him on top of me, our eyes filled with desire. Then we do what we have to do.

I wake up naked on the beach in Fabien's arms, remembering the night we spent together. I smile and kiss Fabien on the neck. He grunts and when I try to get up Fabien's arms stop me.

"Summer's in labour, hurry up," says Olivia's voice in my head.

-Fabien! Summer's in labour, let go of me.

I grab my clothes and go into the house to change.

Fabien arrives in the parking lot and I run to the counter.

-SummerWilson's room.

-234, second floor.

I run up the stairs, Fabien hot on my heels.

-Calm down darling, the doctor said no sudden movements, it's not good for the baby.

-I know, but if I don't get to that room soon, Summer won't be very happy...

-Freya...

I open the bedroom door and see her with a little girl in her arms, a tear of joy running down Summer's cheek when she sees me. She hands her daughter to Liam and hugs me. -You came...

-I wouldn't have come to my best friend's birth for the world.

Olivia arrives and we have a group hug.

-What did you call her?

-Freya Junior.

-It's a joke I hope?

-Of course it's a joke! Her name is Thea.

-That's very pretty," I say at the same time as Olivia.

We talk some more, and I replace out that Summer had a miscarriage before she had Thea and that she went back to see our old house with us and our daughter, but that it had been searched and that there were wolf smells all over the house. Fabien and I go back to the house.

-What would you like for dinner?

-Can't we go hunting? I'd like some raw meat.

-You can't, Freya, the baby!

-It's true, but I miss it so much.

-I can go and get you some if you like.

I'm jumping for joy.

-Can you do that?

-Of course, what I wouldn't do for you.

I smile and kiss him, then he leaves.

Fabien POS

If only I'd known what was waiting for me when I came back, I'd never have gone hunting...
