Malachi and I walk to the living area where Cypress and Paul are sitting, talking about tonight'smission. "Hey, you two," Paul says, motioning for us to have a seat. Malachi sits down, and ofcourse, I jumped into his lap, causing him to grunt. "Don't complain, wolfman,” I say, glaring at him."Malachi, Chloe should not be a part of this mission,” Cypress argues. "Hey, I am sitting right here,and I make my own decisions here. Malachi is my partner, not my boss," I tell Cypress, narrowing myeyes. "Chloe, this isn't a joke. Someone is after you,” Cypress retorts. "Well, let them! I'm not somepathetic human anymore, Cypress I can take care of myself,” I hiss standing from Malachi's lap,ready to smack him for still thinking so little of me.

Malachi wraps his arm around me, forcing me to sit back on his lap. “Changing into a wolf hasworsened my temper. I'm so touchy. I complain to myself, as Malachi’s touch calms me. "Chloe, youneed to think about Paisley,” Cypress says calmly. I stand so quickly Malachi can't grab me this time,and I'm in Cypress's face, poking my finger into his chest. "You have no right to tell me what's bestfor my daughter. Where were you when Malachi needed you most?” I say in his face. “I want Paisleyto know that it's okay to fight for what's right, and if I die doing so, then she will know I died forsomething, instead of being afraid. My decision is final. I am the Luna of this pack, so don't test meright now Cypress" I warn him, staring him down, ready to pounce. He backs away from me, holdinghis hands up in defeat, when a smirk appears on his face.

I look at Cypress, confused. "What is so funny?" I ask, turning to look at Malachi and Paul, who arenow laughing. "I knew you were ready," Cypress says. "What the hell!" I exclaim furiously. "Luna, it'sokay. I saw how you looked in the hall like you were regretting the decision to help and I reachedout to my father to see what we could do instead, but he suggested we try to tell you not to do it,and see how you react.” He tells me. "You are all idiots," I say, turning on my heels for the kitchen,annoyed that they were testing me. I may have been second-guessing my decision, but at the endof the day I would have done what was right.

I open the refrigerator, grabbing water when I hear footsteps behind me. I look under my arm tosee Cypress. I turn around while opening my water and take a drink. "What do you want?" I hiss,leaning against the counter, setting the bottle down. "Chloe, I'm sorry. I only did it to prove that youare ready to be a Luna, and you said everything that a good Luna should,” Cypress tells me, walkingtoward me then pulling me into a hug. "Malachi is a lucky man, and I was wrong about you whenwe first met. I would take it all back if I could,” He admits, breaking the hug.

Cypress smiles, nodding his head in approval, before stepping out of the kitchen. “Buzz... buzz..." Ipull my phone out of my back pocket to see a text. I slide it open, noticing it's an unknown number.“What is with these lately’ I think to myself as I open the message. "He is mine. If you don't wantpeople to get hurt, you will leave him." the text reads."Show yourself; don't hide behind a phonescreen.” I reply with fast fingers slamming on my keyboard. "We will meet soon." They respond."Why wait? I'm not going anywhere. Malachi is mine, bitch!" I say, gritting my teeth as I stare at thescreen. The bubbles appear and disappear just as fast. I must have struck a nerve because theydidn't reply.

As planned, Simon showed up around 9:45pm. When I open the door and take a step out, I replaceMalachi standing on the front porch with Paul and some others. "We should go," I state, steppingoff the porch, heading for the forest. "Chloe?" I hear behind me and turn around to see Malachirunning to me. "Luna, I love you," He says, pressing his lips to mine. We break from the kiss and restour heads against each other. "I love you too, wolfman, Now, get with the others and tell Simon tocome on," I tell Malachi, blowing him a kiss. Malachi runs back to the others, telling Simon I'mwaiting.

Simon runs to me. "Are you ready?" He asks with a slight smile. I return it with a smile of my ownand start walking. Simon keeps the same pace as me and before long I see the clearing is dark, butthere is moonlight casting a soft glow from the sky. “Chloe, they are near’ my wolf warns me,keeping her senses alert and ready for what's to come. I look to Simon, keeping my expressionserious. " They are here," I tell him, searching my surroundings for any movements, then I see theblonde woman appear from behind a tree.

"Well, you actually did it, Simon. Great work,” She says with a grin while clapping her handstogether. "You got me here. What are your plans, psycho?" I ask, smirking. "You know Malachi usedto make love to me in that same bed you fuck him in" She claims, looking at me with a grin. I cansense Malachi close by and on cue he mind links me. “Luna I'm here near the rocks we can heareverything if you need us, we will be ready.’ He tells me, but I'm focused on the bitch in front of me."Oh, you think he made love to you? That's cute. Yet, I'm the one he is mated with and I have himcalling out my name every night begging for another round,” I announce with pride as the corner ofmy mouth lifts, giving her a devilish grin. I can see she wants to stomp her foot but refrains, so shedoesn't look like a child. Too late,” my wolf adds, itching to rip her apart.

I look over to the rocks to replace Malachi and the pack members watching this unfold, like it's the bestshow on TV. "Where is Sabrina? You have me, so let her go,” I demand in a low growl. After a fewminutes a young girl comes out from behind the tree with a large male behind her. Her hands arebound, and a piece of cloth gages her mouth. I see that Malachi gets worried when he sees the man“It's okay, don't do anything yet.” I mind-link Malachi. He stays put nodding his head as I walk closerto the woman. "So, what do you want?" I ask with an annoyance in my voice. "I told you. I wantMalachi. We should be together with his toned abs, and chiseled chest and all his sexy tattoos,” Shesays as if she is picturing Malachi's body in her head. I glare at her as my annoyance slips away, andanger returns.

My reflexes are so fast I snatch her up by her hair so quickly she doesn't have time to let theslightest peep out. "Listen here Bitch! That man is mine, and I don't share! You drooling over hisbody stops here,” I say, gripping her hair tighter, almost ripping it from her skull. I see the packlaughing, and Malachi has his mouth open in shock. "You can't love him like me” She squeals fromhow tight my hold is on her. “The fuck I can't,” I growl, using my other hand to punch her square inthe face, which causes her to fall backward on her ass. I pounce on her, throwing more punches,never missing a beat.

The pack rushes down to take out the male that came with the blonde and Simon runs for hisdaughter. I keep beating the shit out of this bitch when Malachi comes up behind me, pulling meoff her. "Chloe calm down," He says in a soothing voice. I stand straight, brushing the dirt off myclothes, which is covered with this wench’s blood.

Blondie stands, fixing herself with blood gushing from her nose and mouth. "Malachi, you know weare so right for each other. How can you pick this human slut over me?" The blonde whines and thatsets me off. I rush at her picking her up by her throat with one hand. "I guess it's a good thing I'mnot human," I growl, and my green eyes glow with fury. She tries to let out a scream, but I punch herin the chest, taking any words she tries to say away. The force of my punch sends my hand straightinto her chest. I grab her heart and, without hesitation, rip it from her chest. I let go of her, and shefalls to the ground, her eyes frozen wide with shock, as I lift my hand to reveal her heart, beating itslast beat. I threw her heart in the air and kicked it like a soccer ball into the forest. "I kicked your asswithout even shifting. I guess you fucked with the wrong Luna, bitch" I whisper with an evil tone.

I turn around to replace Malachi staring at me in surprise. "Um... Luna, that was amazing," He says,picking me up and spinning me around. "I couldn't handle her talking about you like that," I tell him."Watching you be a badass has me so turned on," Malachi says with lust. I smack his chest,flirtatiously while batting my eyelashes at him. I make sure to sway my hips as I walk past him,letting my ass jiggle for him to follow, but before I can get too far, I'm knocked over by somethingwith lots of fur.
