Chapter 39

Liviana’s POV

I finished my shower and got dressed before going out of the bathroom to see Luan and El still chatting by bed.

“I’m going down now. You both go on ahead and do whatever but I don’t want to be disturbed with work. And yes I’m talking about you, Luan” I said eyeing Luan. He slightly frowned and pouted like a child.

I rolled my eyes with a chuckle and El tried not to laugh at him.

“A lot of Alphas will be coming. Adult ones. And they’ll probably recognize you as the prince at first glance unlike me when we first met so I’d appreciate it if you stay unseen because I don’t want to have to explain to everyone how I am mated to the prince of Lunar” I said making Luan frown.

“Why not?” he asked clearly not amused.

“Simply because I don’t like it when others pry on my personal life. And the details of our bond is for you and I only” I explained and Luan only grinned then nodded.

Now I can sense he liked what I said.

But I’m sure that keeping our relationship from outsiders was beneficial for both of us.

If word breaks out that I’m Luan’s mate, there will surely be a big commotion.

One event will surely lead to another.

“Behave” I warned and reminded Luan for the last time before I went out of my room and headed down.

I can see the guards from different corners of the pack house to ensure that nothing bad will happen.

They bowed their heads to me and greeted me as I walked to the meeting room.

Dante came out of the room and he smiled when he saw me.

“Hey” he greeted softly as he approached me and pulled me in for a hug.

“Good morning, uncle” I muttered making him smile.

“So you’re calling me uncle now after I saw a boy in your room. Is this some kind of scheme to make me forget what I saw earlier?” he said accusingly and I only chuckled.

“It is not. Anyway, are they all inside?” I asked and he nodded.

“Yes. I was just about to call you upstairs actually” he said and I nodded.

I stared at the double door for a moment before taking a deep breath as I put on my Alpha face.

“Let’s go” I said and Dante opened the doors.

Everyone’s head turned at my entrance and they all stood to acknowledge my presence while Edmond and Alex bowed their heads to me.

I reached me sit.

“You may all sit down” I said and that’s exactly what everyone did and I sat down after they were all seated.

“Is everything ready?” I mind linked Edmond.

“Yes, Alpha. Everything has been prepared in advance” he replied.

I turned my focus back on everyone in the meeting table.

“I have called for an emergency meeting here today to inform all of you than one, Crescent Moon’s traitor has been…punished” I said as my heart clenched a little.

“And two, we have managed to take im captivity a rogue that was part of the attack” I said and everyone looked in anticipation.

“Before I let the rogue in today’s meeting, I’d like to hear some updates first of the situation from your packs” I said and everyone agreed.

The Alphas started to report what had happened im their pack for the past few days after our first meeting.

I listened carefully to the statements and made mental notes about the important details in their reports.

It all went by smoothly and I also made my own statement of what had happened for the past few days in my packs.

Of course, I went into detail about the attack as Edmond and Alex helped me since they were present inside the pack while I was at school.

“Very well. I won’t let this drag on for longer” I said as we had finished conversing.

I glanced at Alex and he nodded in understanding before he made his way out of the room.

“Now, I know that you all must have a lot of questions for the rogue and you can’t wait to beat the hell out of him to get as much information as you can” I started.

“But I ask of you to not touch him or do anything else” I said sternly and tge door to the meeting room opened as Alex came in with the rogue and another pair of guards.

The rogue was in chains. He had one on his necks, hands, torso and feet but he growled and snarled at the Alphas in the room still.

The Alphas didn’t accept his disrespectful action lightly as their own growls resonated inside the room making the rogue cower in fear.

The rogue stood just beside me as a guard separated us from each other.

“I present to you one the rogues that attacked Cresent Moon’s territory” I said as I threw a glare at the rogue.

The rogue glanced at me angrily and the next thing I know is he tried to pounce on me but I was faster than he’d ever be as I brought him to the ground in one swift move.

“Chill out, dummy” I said with a warning chuckle as I held him by the neck.

“We can’t show the other Alphas how I can easily rip out your throat, remember? We’re trying to make a presentation here” I said as I tightened my grip on him.

“Just kill me now!” he growled at me and I smirked in disbelief.

“I’d love to. But not today” I said as my eyes glowed gold and I let him go before standing up and dusting myself.

The guards took hold of the rogue as he now kneeled on the ground.

“Sorry about that. He’s a crazy one” I said with a chuckle but I can sense how tensed everyone still is then Dante held me by the shoulder.

“Your eyes, Liviana” he whispered and that’s when I realized that my eyes were still glowing gold instead of its natural blue.

I closed my eyes for a moment and breathed in a deep calming breath to calm down.

I can feel that same powerful aura and power growing inside of me.

My eyes returned to their natural blue and I felt everyone express their relief.

How scary do I even look with gold eyes?

I wasn’t exactly built like a ‘big bad Alpha’ but everyone still feared me.

I guess I had that type of energy.

The power that I hold is truly something.

“Now—” I tried to start but an Aloha suddenly stood up from his cheat and then he looked at me in shock and fear.

“My pack is under attack”
