Alpha's Cursed Luna -

ALEXANDER
“Alex!”
I hear Elijah’s voice resonating through the background. Nevertheless, I quicken my pace and hopinto my car before he can say anything to stop me.
Half an hour later, I arrived at Linda's shop.
I strode through the door and scanned the shop, vaguely aware of how my eyes glowed when I sawher standing near a rack.
Taking hurried steps forward, I clenched my fists as my eyes fixed on her now-pale face. All her salesladies staring at me gasped and clung to one another as I grabbed her neck, crashing her head hardagainst the brick wall
She gasped, instantly clutching on my arm as she desperately tried to loosen my firm grip. Her big, gray eyes that looked at me with utter fear widened, brimming with tears.
“What did you say to her?” I growled while I squeezed her neck.
She looked at me with furrowed brows, probably in a daze.
"Al..pha"
It took me a moment to realize I'm already strangling her out of rage. But more than that, I wasafraid. Not wanting to be consumed by my own fear is what's making me more aggressive than Iever hoped to be as an alpha.
Sighing, I loosened my grip before banging my palms on either sides of her head. Trapping her soshe could not escape from the questions I'm about to throw at her.
Linda drew in a deep breath, coughing out her lungs as she brought her hand to her chest.Seconds passed and my patience is already wearing thin.
“Speak.” I say with my usual commanding voice. Being her alpha, she should have followed myorder by instinct.
However, she didn't seem affected by my alpha tone at all.
Her blind, colorless eyes stared right through me and I stared back with a stern look on my face.
“I won't ask you again, Linda. What did you say that made Eleanor leave?” My voice sounding coldas ice.
She knitted her brows again for a moment as though trying to make sense of what I wanted to say.Just then, a look of realization fell upon her face, and she gasped before bringing a hand over to herlips.
“I'm sorry, Alpha.” She lowered her head as if she didn't want me to see the look on her face aftershe realized my mate disappeared.
The way her eyes flashed with guilt affirmed me she knows something I clearly don't.
Her lack of cooperation was starting to get into my nerves. I growled lowly before forcing her chinup to face me. Leaning closer to meet her in the eye. Indeed the woman's blind from wolfsbane, butshe has been using her wolf to see all this time.
“I don't need a fucking apology, I need answers. Now.” I say under gritted teeth.
Loki has been threatening to take full control, saying he can get the answers out of her himself. Iknow better than to lend him the reins and let him kill her before we get any of the answers wewant.
I watch as Linda clenched her jaw, seeming unsure of what to say next.
Just when I was about to thrash at her yet again, she spoke.
“I can't tell you.” Those words startled me for a second, but that feeling was instantly replaced withrage when suddenly, she lifted two of her middle fingers in the air.
“But I can show you.” She whispered.
I felt her fingers press hard on my temple. I jerked back, as though some sort of magical forceentered my body, forcing me to close my eyes.
Just as I closed my eyes, I felt the ground shake violently beneath my feet. I instantly shifted in myposition, trying to balance both my legs.
The earth crumbled whilst the sky faded into complete darkness. I shut my eyes thinking this isprobably just one of my wild imaginations.
It's not real. You're just dreaming. It's not. Real.
I tell myself over and over and over again until moments later, everything stopped. The faint soundof water dripping in the background reached my ears.
Am I back?
Get your shit together, Alex. You're an Alpha.
Stand by it.
I clenched my fists by my sides. Prying my eyes open before looking around. My eyes glowed in thedark, and strangely there was a strong, metallic scent waving in the tense air. It feels too heavy, asthough I'm surrounded by hundreds of lost souls, crawling towards me in utter sorrow anddesperation. Wailing loudly in pain.
My blood ran cold when the strong, blowing wind brushed briskly against my build. I shrugged offthe uncomfortable feeling and turned to look closer at my surroundings.
Squinting my eyes, I furrowed my brows. My heart racing a mile a minute as I watched mysurroundings slowly morph into a place I fail to recognize. At first.
I feel my wolf stir within me as dread fully washes over my body.
Only then did the picture become clear.
I was in the forest. In a place reserved for battlefields fought and prepared for by different wolfpacks in the past.
I remember this extremely well. The exact same place where my parents fought during the last war,ten whole years ago. The place where I made one mistake that led to their deaths.
The place I loathed most.
I let my eyes travel around my surroundings, only to replace myself standing amidst frozen, bloodstained dead bodies of wolves who were killed during war. Each one of them retained theirwolf forms, and their eyes have turned pitch black, cold and lifeless.
My hands shook as I raised them in front of my face.
I gasped and looked down almost immediately at my body.
“What the...” My clothes were covered entirely with blood
I staggered back and wanted to run away, but I froze at the sight of a massive pool of blood.
A dark figure then slowly immersed from the blood pool, and right away my breathing stopped. Istopped instantly on my tracks, watching in disbelief as the figure of a woman formed in the pool ofblood.
Just then, I leaned a little bit forward in an attempt to get a clearer picture of the woman's face.
My jaw clenched as I scanned the clothes she wore on her small body.
It was the same set of clothes Eleanor wore the last time I saw her.
I let my gaze move further to her face.
"Alex!" I felt my heart skip a beat at the urgent sound of her voice.
It was Eleanor.
I gritted my teeth the moment I saw her covered in blood, too. Her face paled when our eyeslocked, but I wasted no time and rushed towards her. Knowing I ought to have nothing to fear.“Our mate needs us’ Loki says.
I ambled to scoop her up in my arms when suddenly, she tossed her hand in front of her chest.Pointing her fingers towards my direction thereafter making me stop.
Tears were brimming in her red ruby eyes that glistened under the moonlight as she stared at mewith intense fear as well as guilt.
"Eleanor?" Her name came out through a soft whisper.
She was standing in an awkward position, as though some invisible force was holding her right inplace.
I cocked my head to the side, and was about to step forward when I felt my own hands moveagainst their will.
The next thing I knew, my hands were gripping my neck.
I managed to look up and saw Eleanor motioning her fingers at the same time my hands moved togrip my neck tighter.
My breathing became hoarse, throat dry like plain desert as I opened my mouth to taste air.Twisting my neck, I tried moving my feet, but for some reason they wouldn't budge from beingglued to the hard ground.
My eyebrows grew knitted closely together the longer I stood three meters away from my mate, until I felt my knees weaken to the point my legs gave in, dropping my knees to the ground with aresounding thud.
I knelt down whilst Eleanor was walking slowly towards me. My head started to spin, and in secondsmultiple veins began popping out of my head.
In the background, I can hear Eleanor whimpering in pain. I look up at the blurred image of mymate, holding out her hand when out of the corner of my eye, I caught a shadow lurkingsomewhere behind my mate.
I wasn't sure what the fuck it was or if all these are even fucking happening in actual reality, but all Iknow was that there was someone there standing behind her.
I couldn't make out who it was.
My vision blurred and I felt the blood in my body stop flowing for a while.
"Stop it!" She screamed.
I can hear droplets of tears fall to the cold floor. My senses were all failing one by one at thismoment, and I couldn't bring myself to put all my attention to the rippling sound of her tears mix inwith the massive pool of blood as I notice my breathing become slower and slower.
Only when my vision cleared for one, brief moment did I see my mate's face staring down at me.Her tears were flowing uncontrollably from her crimson eyes, body shaking violently as she tookone small step forward before crouching down.
"No please..." She mumbled, reaching her hand out to touch my face when some invisible forceseemed to have pulled her back.
“STOP ITH"
I watched in utter disbelief as she abruptly squeezed her hand. Right after that, my grip tightenedforcefully around my neck, and my whole body fell to a wolf's bloody carcass, lying lifeless on thecold floor.
My neck twisted painfully, making my wolf scream from the most insufferable pain ever in our lives. All of a sudden, the whole world turned upside down. I felt how my soul got dragged instantly tosome kind of portal, bringing me back face to face with Linda in her store.
I growled, pushing my feet backwards as I forced my eyes open to the sight of Linda's horrified facestaring up at me. Her cold, whitish-gray eyes widened as she peered through me with a look ofpure, evident fear.
I shook my head briefly, still in confusion and disbelief.
What the fuck was that?
After gathering my bearings, I shot Linda a deathly glare.
"What did you do?" My words coming out cold and deep. All members of my pack knew what thattone meant when I'd used it in a question.
I notice the woman's body tremble, pursing her lips firmly into a thin line.
I growled, grabbing her blouse before banging her up against the hard wall with trembling hands."ANSWER ME!"
"It's the future, Alpha!" She wailed, squeezing her eyes while turning her face away from my canines, baring at her.
It took me a moment to completely process her words. And when I did, my whole body froze.
