The she-wolf, Erica, is obviously not here by chance and has come fully prepared for the occasion.

As she takes a step forward, walking like a model, I see that she is wearing a fantastic dress, very revealing, showing all her perfect curves, a small waist, a flat stomach, a plunging neckline, a voluptuous but firm breasts, and long, skinny legs. She is tall, and imposing, her hair shiny and her makeup perfect. She is the best representation of a she-wolf, as she should be, and she knows it.

Her whole attitude is that of a winner, showing that she has no competition. Alpha Ivan and Robert smile, satisfied... while Nate's face is one of surprise.

"It's so good to see you again Nate....after so long since we were together... you are looking handsome as always" she says and her voice is melodious, her lips plump and her face is doll-like and... she reminds me of someone. Since they were together? She and he... the reality is that I don't know anything about Nate's past with other women.

My bond with him had been improving, but now it felt weak. He didn't seem to be my usual mate, something had happened to him, or I feared he had changed completely.

"What is she doing here?" he asks as she comes closer, she has high shiny shoes that make her look even slimmer.

I hear them arguing and starting to shout, a commotion ensues in which I don't understand anything, but they certainly manage to communicate.

"You will do what you have to do for the good of the pack," Ivan shouted hysterically.

"I'm the Alpha! And you know I'm the most powerful wolf!" yells Nate, so angry that I can see his veins bulging.

His father comes over and hits him, knocking him to the ground. I shake and want to scream that I'm here, that he shouldn't be hurt, but there's nothing I can do.

"Nate! My son!" I hear Ruth, and I see her practically crawl towards him with an injured arm.

"You're a disgrace, Alpha! A bastard!" Ruth screamed in desperation as Alpha Ivan grabbed her arm and pulled her aside. Nate looks desperate, seeing her mother hurt.

"Of course, we knew that you were a very strong werewolf, honestly an Alpha like I had never seen before...especially after the attack at the Council...that's why your father made the decision that we had to weaken you, it was the only option," Robert said as if it was the most logical explanation.

"You are cowardly bastards! And what are you going to do, kill me?" asks Nate as I shake.

"Kill you? No! Why do you think that? No... no" Erica says horrified.

"Nate, baby... you knew we would end up together, it was an agreement since we were kids, and you can't escape fate," she said as she took his face by the chin and looked at him intently.

No, it can't be... I think, shaking my head.

"Keep watching, fatty... will become more and more interesting. You'll see..." Regina whispered to me, undoubtedly enjoying all of this. He has me tied up and with my mouth covered, at her will.

"We'll get along well.... like in the past! Our families are friends and there's a very good deal we're going to propose to you, and I'm sure you'll accept it with... open arms," she said smiling and caressing my mate's neck and face. "You will be mine..." she said, biting her lips.

I felt a stabbing pain in my chest just looking at the scene, I started crying and gasping for air. I didn't think it could get any worse, but the road had shown me long ago that everything could always get worse. "Where's Regina?" Robert suddenly asked.

"Damn!" she whispered, and we were on our way again.

"No, no!" I tried to say, but we were already far away. As horrible as it was, I wanted to know his answer, I needed to know if he would accept her.

"Don't worry, fatty. I'll be back with news. I hope very positive...to me at least..." she says, leaving me tied up and alone in one of those hidden corridors. What she's up to? I cried and tried to move but to no avail.

Would he be able to deny me to save his pack? The pack always comes first, his father had said, and werewolves repeated it all the time.

But I was marked, that had to mean something, didn't it? At least that's what I kept telling myself. Several minutes had passed when Regina came back... and she was even more upset.

What happened? Things certainly didn't go as she had planned.

Regina pulled my arm while I tried to kick things on the way, she had gagged me, so I couldn't scream, but... I couldn't be treated like a simple rag doll. And as soon as she saw me rebelling, she became even more hostile. "You stupid human! You've caused me enough trouble," she said, stopping and lifting me by the neck as I kicked, my feet in the air. Then she punched me in the stomach and I fell to my knees in pain.

"This is what will happen to you if you don't behave! Don't you want to see your mate? I know that humans don't have hearts, nor do they feel the bond, but... you've learned to love him. I mean... a man like him is not so easy to forget, even a human would feel something for an Alpha like Nate," she says hatefully.

She really is interested in him, she feels something for him besides wanting the Luna position. But then what is her role here? What can Regina do if there is another woman who will be Luna? One that Moonstone also supports.

The cool evening breeze hits my face as we go outside, Regina still dragging me along, until she drops me near one of the windows that leads to the rooms below. She ties my hands to the window, and I don't understand what's going on. "You're going to witness an entertaining show," she says with a smile.

I can't move, and I sit there in front of the window. Then I see someone come in and the door to the room closes.

I realize it's none other than Nate, he looks tired and beaten, and I try to scream as much as I can while Regina holds my head tight so I don't miss anything.

I don't hear anything, but after a few seconds, I realize that he's not alone and that a woman is coming out of the bathroom. He looks stunned at the sight of the girl, who approaches him seductively.

It's Erica, she's wearing sexy lingerie and I panic.

"She's going to be Moonstone's Luna, but let's face it, I would have made a better Luna than her... but their mating it's an important agreement to keep the peace between the packs. And I see your Alpha is interested in her, isn't he? Of course... she's much more attractive than you, and of excellent breeding."

"No, that can't be..." I think, shaking my head.

"Do you think he's going to say no to that woman? Girl...I mean... you can't mark him... and we both know she's hot," Regina says as I see that Erica is indeed stunning, she looks like a model.

"Maybe Nate will put you aside as a consolation prize...for when he wants a chubby girl for a man like him to have fun with. Do you think I haven't heard you squeal like a pig when he fucks you hard? Surely you let him do whatever he wants with you... a little bitch," Regina whispers hatefully to me.

"But it's the right thing to do human... a woman like you could never have an Alpha's child, nor give him everything an Alpha needs, you must know how ardent they are..." she says as I cry.

Erica approaches him, takes off her clothes slowly and shows all her attributes, she knows she is sexy and Nate stares at her.

"But it's not your fault, chubby...your mate is not what you think he is. He has already left you and his words are pure lies, did you really think he would stay with a loser like you? He's using you for power...that's what alphas do, they use and treat the rest of us like little pawns in their game..." she says, wiping away my tears.

"He can have you locked up and Erica be the Luna. Fuck you ruthlessly, having his way with you... to be more powerful and when he's the most powerful Alpha... he'll kick your big ass. You should thank me for showing you this in advance. I told you I would show you the truth. Here it is!" she says amused.

Erica is already naked and touching Nate, rubbing herself against him as he closes his eyes. She is practically offering herself to him.

"Well...we both know what's going to happen...and frankly, I don't want to see it. But I think it would be good for you to witness it, don't you? Then you might finally decide to leave him. I don't know what he told you, but you can always reject him... that's the only power a weak human has. Enjoy the show..." she says and leaves me.

While I feel like my world is falling like a house of cards.
