Alpha´s curvy bullied human mate
Chapter 89: Claws and weapons

Penelope

I can hear the sound of my breathing and my heartbeat thundering in my ears. My hands are shaking and sweaty as I hold my gun.

Since entering Moonstone, I have felt a new force within me, as if a different Penelope has emerged.

My alpha had kicked me out for the second time, this time to protect me. However, I am here because I could, because I had the absolute right to be here. After all, this was my pack.

Now I understood Ruth's words, the connection a Luna had to her pack, how every part of me, was connected to this territory and its people.

I had felt something special from the moment Nate had marked me, but now it was much stronger. Maybe it was because I really believed I was their Luna. Or simply because I had come all this way, risking my life, a human with no powers... to save my mate, my Alpha and my people.

We heard sounds and screams, howling and a battle raging in the distance. The wolves beside me became agitated. There was a fight that was going on beyond our foray into the territory.

Nate would be there, I can feel it. I can feel his aura, still weak, but he fought, he didn't give up, and I knew he wouldn't.

The alphas were getting ahead of me when I noticed wolves coming at us, slow at first, roaring, like they were sizing us up. They were older wolves, but there were many of them, the old wolves from the previous Beta.

"We'll stop them, Luna...." I heard Cornelia's voice, and she and her wolves would automatically attack behind the Alphas.

I could see their fur flapping in the wind, and the wolves' bodies colliding, teeth closing in on the enemy's neck, claws tearing through fur.

Further back were the humans, who I could only imagine were watching in horror, this nightmare.

The enemy would not be appeased, the Alphas defeating those in front of them as I watched the rogues fall, wounded, and I was terrified. Suddenly we heard footsteps coming from the side.

"Our warriors!" I yell. They had come to fight for us, and the old wolves would soon replace themselves trapped and defeated.

"Naomi? Luna?" one of the warriors knelt before me.

If someone had told me in the past that this pack would respect me like this, I would never have believed it.

"We've come all this way to help, to replace our Alpha," I told him.

"The pack has practically been handed over to the Crimson Fangs pack, many of their warriors are here, as well as the council. It was just about to begin the ceremony when we felt your power, Luna. The Alpha is fighting, we will not give up," the warrior told me, and hope grew in me.

"Moonstone will not fall as long as it has members who believe in our pack... " I said.

"Give us all the information you have..." Asher appeared and a plan was made, some would go through different locations of the pack as we had information from inside.

"Crimson Fang's warriors are coming!" another warrior shouted, and everyone transformed into the wolf and got ready.

"On my signal! Get them away from the Luna" said Asher, and the Alphas moved forward.

We were planning to go to the pack house, when a group of warriors appeared, some in wolf form and others in human form, firing.

"Take cover!" I shouted.

I start shooting, especially at the gunmen. Wolfsbane's bullets didn't do as much damage to me as they did to the wolves, and I shot accurately while Naomi and my brothers fought violently.

"I bet you didn't expect us to use the same foul play against you!" I yelled. I felt bullets graze my legs and even my cheek as our warriors forced the Crimson Fangs to retreat.

Suddenly a bullet hit my hand, making me scream and drop my weapon, and my brothers roared and practically dragged me.

I ended up behind a tree, then behind a rock, while the enemy wolves seemed to know where I was every moment and chased me.

"You're bleeding, Luna," Naomi said in horror, and I could see that my shirt was turning red.

"It's nothing, really... "I said as I squeezed my hand, not wanting to see the wound.

"If you want to be able to attack and defend yourself, we need to treat that hand," she said, leaving no room for argument.

"We need to get to one of the houses... get supplies. We have to move quickly..." she said.

"Now!" shouted Naomi, as my brothers went ahead and cleared a path, I shot as much as I could with my other hand. We were all in a mad frenzy, adrenaline coursing through our bodies. "That house! The one closer to the woods has a back door," Naomi said.

And just as we arrived, more masked men came through, firing machine guns as we all fell to the ground.

I could see the wolves falling immediately, taking bullets one by one. My hand really hurt now, and truly I felt that this was the end of us.

Just then, I heard a roar and realized it was dozens of cars passing by, running over the enemy wolves and masked men.

"Belle Springs people!" I said excitedly.

They were supposed to wait, but there was no better time to act than now. All of a sudden, the door of one of the cars opened and I heard a very familiar voice. "Come on, get in," Andrew yelled as we got in and ducked down.

More shots rang out, shattering the glass as my friend drove like a madman, running out the masked men in front and protecting our own.

"My mate!" said Naomi as if she had seen an angel.

"You didn't think I'd leave you, my little wolf, did you?" he said, looking at her lovingly.

"Eyes on the road Andrew!" my brothers shouted.

"Ohhh believe me, I'm not letting them out of my sight. Those bastards, they'll pay for all the damage they've done..." he said angrily.

We saw men and women in their cars, Jack in the lead, driving through the area, chasing the wolves and men with their guns, attacking like they were warriors.

When we arrived at the house, it was dark, my hand was bleeding more and more. My brothers were outside the door and Andrew was lying on the floor, exhausted.

"Did you hear that?" asked Naomi as she ran into the kitchen the door suddenly opened, and a figure appeared.

"Who are you? Stop right there!" a woman said firmly, and I saw a knife fly out and land on the wall just above my head. But, I recognized the voice.

"Luna Ruth?" I asked, and suddenly the lights turned on.

"Penelope? Noemi! Guys!" she said. She had a bandaged arm and looked exhausted but happy to see us.

"What are you doing here?" she asked.

We were all so happy to see her, and immediately more people appeared, Moonstone's members that had been hiding in the house.

"We came to help our Alpha, of course," Naomi said, and Ruth talked about what had happened.

"They let me go...but I didn't run away, even though I promised my son...I decided to protect the pack, take care of the wounded and help them escape through the forest," she said.

My wound was awful, and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to move my hand. Ruth healed it as best she could, and then we would go to the basement and see children, omegas, and wounded warriors. She was helping them, protecting the pack, as a Luna would.

Abruptly, I heard screams outside and Luke came to me.

"More wolves are coming...they know you are here, sister, somehow," he said.

"We need to go..." I murmur.

"But where to? It's an invasion! Marco has come with all his might, warriors, allied alphas..." Ruth said, frightened.

"Nowhere is safe... but we have to go. I can't leave Nate. Together we'll be stronger... he needs me. I feel it deep inside me," I say.

"I understand...we will get you out," she sighs. I knew she was worried about her son.

"The only way is to keep moving...they are hunting you Penelope, they feel your power now, it's like you have a light on you that says you are the Luna of this pack..."

"And the Luna is always the weak point of any pack...I'm putting you all in danger...I have to go," I say.

Ruth sends some warriors who distract Marco's wolves and get lost in the woods. Out the back door, we all get back in the car.

"We need to get to the pack house! That way!" I yell. As we approach, we see the devastation, burned houses, the humans from Belle Springs, helping people, getting into their cars. "Go to the house near the forest!" Naomi shouted.

And then we hear a noise, a roar of wolves. We didn't know how many there were, they were like a violent storm, out of control.

"What are they?" asks Andrew in shock.

"Guys, we have to go on...protect our Luna," says Naomi and she and my brothers come down in wolf form, leaving me alone with Andrew who looks out the car window in fear.

The wolves were howling as she and my brothers approached, and the fight began, before long we heard a desperate cry.

"Mate!" yells Andrew and hits the gas. And we see a group of rabid wolves, could be rogues? Andrew tries to run them down as we see Naomi and my brothers fighting with all their might. But then we heard a noise to our side...and we felt the impact as the car spun around violently.
