Reins

Reaching the others as they waited on the outskirts of the small camp shifting back I stood there watching.

I could see some were being treated while others just stood around talking I scrunched my brows in confusion.

Chase comes to stand next to me.

"Why are they all just standing there? Shouldn't they be moving?"

He was just as lost as I was you just attacked pack lands and helped in taking the pack Luna you have to know the packs coming for you.

"Let's spread out and circle the camp we will move in together make sure no one gets through,"

"Yes Alpha," Chase turns walking back over and giving the order I stay in my spot.

This is why rogues don't last long they are not smart they think by leaving the territory we wouldn't come to replace them.

Few minutes I hear everyone through the link they are all in place. Shifting back I give the command to move in.

When we were close enough where they did have a chance I let a call out.

"NOW!"

We hit from all sides I wasn't worried about letting any survive I was only looking for my mate.

Ripping through whatever and whoever crossed my path when I reached the center I found some that had huddled together. They didn't shift holding their hands up in surrender. "Chase!" I yelled through the link.

While in seconds he was there.

"Keep an eye on them "

"Yes, Alpha,"

It didn't take long for my men to take out most in the camp. There was no one leading them no wonder they didn't leave the area.

"Alpha over here!"

Walking over I shift looking down there laying there was the body of Alpha Darrel his neck was snapped.

"Alpha who is that?"

"That's Alpha Darrel, Look around we need to replace her,"

The men walked away starting to go through the tents.

Turning away from the body with him being dead that leaves only one and that is Roberts.

But why would he take Autumn the reason he is here is because that dumb Alpha hired him so why would he kill him?

Walking towards some tents I caught her scent how ever faint it was. Following it to the one tent stepping in her scent was stronger. That's when I noticed the body on the floor walking over and kneeling I moved it so I could see the face. It was Rachel,

Standing up I started looking around there the small cot-looking thing was her dress.

Picking it up I notice the blood marks and how it's torn lifting it to my nose and taking a deep breath in I could smell her scent along with some others.

Walking out keeping the dress in my hand I start to walk through the camp when one scent I picked up was one I was looking for.

Heading straight to the group of rogues that Chase was keeping track of. Reaching them I didn't say anything just moving slowly around the group till I found what I was looking for.

Stopping at the rogue who was huddled on the ground I could smell the fear coming from him grabbing a handful of his hair I ripped his head up.

"Where is the girl who wore this dress?"

"I don't know please, I only brought her here to the two men,"

"One is dead where is the other?"

"I believe he left after he had us dump the body of the other one we haven't seen him he was to pay us,"

"Where?"

"I don't know?'

Letting go of him with some force he fell backwards. Scrambling back into the group.

"Alpha,"

Looking to Chase.

"We need to get back we are gonna have to try a different way, they are gonna and so is any scent of her the trackers won't be able to follow it especially if they are in a car, which I think they are or we would have came across them," "What about these," He gestures to the group.

"Take them to the dungeons I'll deal with them later,"

Walking away my thought ran through my head I knew they were planning something why was I so admin about having that ceremony I should have just don't it in my office where it was safer. Now she was gone and the only trail I had is a dead end Roberts is an impossible person to replace, Now my beta lays in the clinic with my mate's father and brother, I knew Rachel was also up to something but to go out and partner up with these guys,

Rachel should have known she wouldn't live with making a deal with them her part in this is still confusing I've never given her that type of attention. Yes, she is a member of my pack but that's it there was no extra attention no nothing.

I wonder if Alpha Bretts boy knows something, Oscar had said once that he and Rachel paled around a few times and that boy didn't seem to like being ordered to not interfere with Roberts and that dam Alpha,

Shifting I grab the dress in my mouth taking off back to the pack house I need to get ahold of that Beta of Darrel and reach out to Alpha Brett.

My wolf wasn't happy I was sure how much longer I would hold him a bay the longer we are away from our mate the more rage he feels,

Letting out a whimper I know he's feeling the emptiness of her not being here I just have to keep thinking she will be okay and I will replace her I will not stop till she is back next to me and I'm never taking my eyes off her,
