Reins

Fear ran through my body I knew it was her the closer we got I could feel more of her through the bond.

I knew she was here feeling as if I could jump out and shift running there would be faster than sitting in this vehicle waiting.

Zach had managed to get Ariel to open up more about Rachel and how she got tangled up in her plans.

Ariel refused to help Rachel at first but Rachel found leverage against her she said Rachel had threatened to harm her little sister she even held her until the spells were finished but she hasn't let her go so that's why she was on our back lands not looking for money she was looking for her sister.

Zach asked why she wasn't in a coven she told us her mom had left when her sister was born but didn't go into detail. Zach didn't push you could see it was hard for her to talk about. Zach promised to help replace her sister

Ariel also knew she was mates with Zach the moment she saw him saying even witches have mates.

She wasn't against getting to know him which made him relax they both had one thing in common both of them cared deeply for their sisters and both had their sisters taken from them. Feeling a ping in my chest I wanted my mate back with me next to me. I blamed myself for her being taken.

"Alpha we are almost there it's just up the road,"

Snapping out of my thoughts.

"Alright stop here let's go on foot,"

Keaton pulled off the road.

"Make sure to go off far enough so no one sees the cars."

Nodding his head he pulled down pulling between two trees.

Everyone followed suit parking far enough down the cars wouldn't be seen from the road.

"Alright, we are going the rest of the way on foot, we go quietly only mind linking no taking,"

"What do you need me to do?" Ariel asked as she stood next to Zach.

"Can you do a tracking spell?"

"Yes,"

Walking to Zach she grabbed his hand.

She quickly poked his palm letting two drops fall into the palm of her hand.

"What you do?"

"I need something of hers to track her but Zach is her brother I can use his blood ties to her to replace her,"

She turned placing her hands together she shut her eyes as she began to mumble some words. I watched as a small light appeared in her hands the more she chanted the brighter it got. Stopping the words she opened her eyes they were cloudy almost like when we mind link.

The small light in her hand started to lift leaving her palm as it danced in the air

Swiftly it began moving as Ariel started to follow the small light.

"Everyone spread out,"

We followed her as she walked through the woods.

"Have you ever seen this?" Keaton's voice rang in my head.

"No, but I don't have any other options right now, I just need to replace her,"

"What about all that she said on the way here, Do you believe her?"

"Yes, I do, She carries pain in her eyes I don't sense any deceit in her voice,"

He just nods.

"Don't worry if she crosses us I think Zach would take her head off, even though she is his mate his love for his sister is stronger,"

"I would agree,"

We cut the link as we followed Ariel as she lead us deeper into the woods.

Autumn

Hitting the ground I rolled forward popping up on my feet. Shocking myself that I didn't break a leg or bust my head open.

"I'm told ya we could do it," Gem pipes up.

"Yeah, now what Gem which way,"

"Head straight into the woods right in front of us,"

I was about to take off running when I hear the car.

"Gem I think he back, but that wasn't an hour,"

I backed up pressing my body against the side of the house the car was on my left I could hear him opening the doors.

Hearing him walk up to the front the door opened creaking then shutting.

My heart was beating so fast I wasn't sure what to do.

"WHAT THE HELL!"

That was all we heard.

"Go go!" Gem yelled.

Taking off I glanced over my should to see a very angry man standing hanging his head out the window.

Fear ripped through me as I saw him jump out the window landing on his feet and then running after me. "Oh god Gem he's gonna catch us!"

"Don't look at him focus on what's in front of you,"

Running im ducking and pushing through bushes I could hear him getting closer to me.

Branches scrapped my arms my hair got stuck on one but I kept running,

Stopping I hide behind a tree needing to catch my breath.

I didn't hear anything.

"Gem I don't hear him,"

"We need to keep moving,"

"I don't know where to go,"

"Autumn is that you!" Reins' voice filled my head.

"Rein!" I covered my mouth holding the sob that was going to leave me.

"Autumn, where are you,"

"I don't know, Roberts is chasing me I ran Im in the woods,"

"Stay there don't move I'll replace I'm in the woods I'm coming,"

Hearing a snap I jumped in my spot leaning back against the tree. Slowly I leaned to the side peeking around the tree.

He was standing there looking around. "Reins he's close he will replace me,"

"Hold on I'm coming, please just stay there,"

"Gem please what do I do?"

Before I could do anything he jumped to the side.

"Got you!"

Letting out a scream I took off again pushing my legs harder I could hear him laughing.

"Reins he found me!"

I was suddenly tackled to the ground we rolled as he flipped us I landed on my back as he was on top pinning me down.

"Thought you could run from me,"

I wasn't able to say anything as my body started to hurt all over pain ripped down my back my head held so much pressure. My whole body felt as if it was on fire. "Reins help!" I cried out loud.

"Your mate can't help you,"

I felt a sudden surge of power pushing against him with all I had he fly off me landing a few feet away rolling then standing up.

Rolling over I got on all four and I cried out from the pain I felt.

I heard the snapping of my bones my fingers changing and becoming claws I felt the pressure as my jaw and head elongated my clothes ripping as I grew in size. "Give in Autumn let go trust me!" I heard Gem say through my cries.

Trying to relax and give in as she said the pain lessen a bit then it was no more.

"Open your eyes, Autumn,"

Slowly peeling my eyes open I noticed I was close to the ground.

Breathing hard I lifted my head only to notice instead of hands I had paws. "Gem,"

"Yes Autumn, we have shifted,"

"Well well, look who wolf finally woke up,"

Looking up I see him standing there hands on his hips.

Gem let out a warning growl.
