Zed turned pale and he stepped back a bit, looking shocked.

Zed's uncle used to greet everyone with a smile but now he suffered from a deadly disease.

"Does my parents know about this?" Zed asked as his voice trembled. He tried his best to remain calm.

"Not yet! I haven't told them yet. Simon only told me about this." replied Benjamin as he sighed. "He was planning to hide this from everyone. But I found out that there was something wrong with him, and I made him tell me."

"Hasn't Uncle Simon told Kirk too?" Zed asked in a shock.

"No. Kirk has a girlfriend in Switzerland, and they are about to get married. Simon wants to tell them after their wedding," Benjamin replied, with a heavy sigh. He then continued, "As you know, Kirk is busy with his studies and he has no interest in our business. So Simon and I talked this through and have decided to have you back at the Imperial Capital, and let you take over the Qi family industry."

"Grandpa, although my father owns some shares in the company, it is Uncle Simon who is the real President of the company. If someone has to succeed then it should be Kirk Qi. "I see!" Zed nodded and replied in a low voice. He then said, "Grandpa Dan, I was in such a hurry to talk to my grandpa that I forgot about you. I apologize! And I'll make amends later at the table while we drink wine," said Zed with a smile on his face.

"Zed, you certainly know how to make amends, don't you?" Dan smiled and continued, "I am so happy after talking to you. No wonder why the girls in the Imperial Capital still can't forget you, Zed."

"Grandpa Dan, please don't make fun of me!" After Zed heard what Dan said, he blushed and sighed in his heart.

'Thank god Jean did not hear this! Otherwise, there would've been some new misunderstandings.'

"Don't praise him, Dan! He speaks just a little bit more while talking to us, but he talks very coldly to others. What do you say now, Dan?" Benjamin exposed Zed with his words.

"You have a nice place here. Zed, why don't you show me around?" Dan smiled at Zed after giving Jesse a meaningful look.

"Sure!" Zed nodded and replied politely. He then asked, "Grandpa, would you like to join us?"

"Well, I'm a little tired. You guys go ahead and have fun!" Benjamin shook his head and walked slowly towards the front door. Jesse clearly took the hint from Dan, and walked toward Benjamin, "Grandpa Benjamin, let me help you get inside," said Jesse. "Aren't you going to stay with your grandpa, Jesse?" Benjamin asked in amazement.

"Zed will keep him company, and I will keep you company, Grandpa Benjamin!" Jesse smiled widely.

"What a sweet girl! It is such a pity that you are not my granddaughter-in-law..." Benjamin paused and shook his head. "Grandpa Benjamin..." Jesse got frustrated for a while. She fixed her eyes on him and wanted to say something but stopped. "What's wrong, Jesse?" asked Benjamin with a concerned look on his face, "Is it because of Zed? Is he not treating you well?"

"No, it's not that! Grandpa Benjamin, it's just that there is something in my heart that I don't know if I should talk to you about," Jesse said.
