Chapter 332 That Was Out Of Line

"We really shouldn't be doing this..." Jean struggled hard to stop Zed from throwing these passionate kisses. Finally, she pulled free and blushed as she looked at him.

Kissing in the broad daylight seemed like a really bold move to her. On top of that, two elderly people awaited inside, yet he felt the need to do it.

Seeing Jean blush like a school girl magnified his urge. But he knew that it wasn't the right time and resisted the urge. Feeling bad, he stretched his arms to hold his wife tightly and buried his face into her hair. Smelling the wonderful scent of Jean's shampoo, Zed tried hard to calm himself down.

His desire was palpable and Jean felt it too. Instead of pulling free from this hug, she allowed him to hold her tightly.

What made her thrilled was the knowledge that Zed's passion for her hadn't faded in spite of their long separation.

On top of that, she was happy to have cleared the misunderstandings.

Their relationship wasn't strained anymore. If anything, it made it stronger.

Knowing this had both surprised and satisfied her.

"Let's go!" Zed whispered to her ear once he had hugged her to his heart's content.

"Okay," Jean replied diligently while nodding her head. Together, they walked toward the dining room catching each other's hand.

In the dining room, Benjamin, Dan and Jesse had already been seated themselves while Zelda busied herself putting the dishes on the table.

While the happy couple entered, Benjamin realized something was different. Being so sharp-eyed, he immediately noticed the hot blush on both of their faces.

"You both are so impolite and rude! How can you make us elders wait for long?" Benjamin questioned with a contemptuous gaze.

His eyes turned sharper while he looked at Jean.

That look made her feel miserable. It was like he implied Jean was the root cause of this delay.

An embarrassed smile appeared on Jean's face as she looked at the irritated Benjamin. She hastily walked up and showed her courtesy to him while distributing the dishes for him. In a sincere and ebullient tone, she explained, "Grandpa, Zed just told me what you like to eat and what you don't like and that is why we came a little late."

"You are very thoughtful, Zed!" Dan enthused as he smiled at Zed.

A smile of joy flitted across Zed's face. He raised up to pour a glass of wine for everyone at the table and proposed a toast,"Grandpa, Grandpa Dan, Jesse, Jean, come on, cheers! Let's welcome two grandpas to H City."

Sitting on the chair, Benjamin symbolically raised his glass and took a sip of the wine. After that, he looked around at everyone and ordered, "Since everyone is here, I won't beat around the bush. Every one of you has to get dressed to attend the dinner party tonight." "Grandpa, you are just fresh off the plane and I am afraid it will be too much for you if you attend the dinner party this evening." Zed raised his concern for his Grandpa's health. "I can tell Sonny to re-arrange the dinner party."

"No, I am the person who ordered him to hold this party today!" Benjamin spit out indifferently.

"What?" asked Zed and Jean together.

"You heard it right! It's my idea to hold the dinner party this evening." Benjamin turned to look at Zed and scolded him looking cross,"Zed, what the hell are you doing? When something happens, you let others take the advantage to make problems for Qi Group, rather than solve it. Haven't you realized that it is a nuisance?"

"Grandpa, I haven't found out the one behind it yet," Zed replied, feeling dejected.

"Since the person hasn't been found, you have to suppress the rumors first. Have you forgotten what I've told you about the way to handle business affairs? Don't be sloppy. It was originally a very simple thing, but you have made it complicated. I am so disappointed in you!" Benjamin reprimanded Zed sternly while throwing him eye daggers. "Yes, Grandpa, you are right!" Lowering his head, Zed accepted his Grandpa's rebuke patiently.

"I am not going to say too much now! I request you and Jean to display your affection in public tonight so that all the people of this city will know that there is no problem between the two of you. That will solve half the trouble," suggested Benjamin looking determined. "Yes, I will follow your order and do it!" Zed said nodding his head. He was actually looking forward to experimenting this.

"Okay, now let's start eating." Making his ideas clear, Benjamin felt much more relaxed and started to eat.

Listening to this, Jean's heart felt heavy, but she displayed a fake smile.

From Grandpa's words, she understood that he indeed came back to solve Zed's problems.

And looking at Zed, she realized he seemed to agree with what his Grandpa had just told him.

But she really doubted if public display of affection would settle this problem. 'Can this simple act solve this complicated problem?' wondered Jean worriedly.

If things were so simple, then Zed must have attempted it already.

After lunch, Benjamin and Dan decided to take some rest. Zed and Jean also hurried back to their bedroom to select their outfit for the upcoming party.

"Zed, will Grandpa's plan work?" Jean asked while she was rummaging through her clothes.

Hearing the worried tone in her voice, Zed, who was checking his mobile phone, lifted his head and smiled at her. "Jean, we have to trust him!"

"But do you really think that this problem can be solved so easily? I..." Before she could finish her sentence, Zed climbed from the bed, walked up to her and patted on her shoulder.

"I know why you are worrying so much. Let's wait until evening and see how it goes, okay?" Zed didn't explain much and just comforted her with his tender voice.

Though confused, Jean didn't raise more questions because being with him put her at ease.

She picked up a dress from the closet and showed to Zed. "What do you think? Should I wear it for the party?"

"It looks perfect. You are so charming, so whatever you wear will impress me. Especially when you wear nothing," Zed said while he winked. Saying that, Zed carried her and made his way towards the bed.

"Zed..." Jean screamed, knowing what Zed intended to do with her. Her face blushed deeply and she closed her eyes. Cuddled in?his arms, Jean shyly reminded him,"Stop it now! We still have something important to do tonight! Neither of us rested well last night, so we have to take a nap now, okay?"

"Don't refuse me, Jean! I really want you right now!" His eyes burnt like fire and he looked into Jean's eyes desirously.

"I..." Unable to speak, she blushed even more and avoided having eye contact with him. In a soft voice, she told him, "Zed, I just want to take a good rest."

The persistence in her voice left him with no choice. He helplessly sighed and gently placed her on the bed, "Fine! You indeed need a good rest for tonight's dinner party. But don't be that nervous and remember you always have me beside you."

"Okay, thank you!" His encouraging words deeply touched her. "Zed, no matter what Grandpa thinks, we have to do a good performance tonight!"

"And you have to put up a good show after we come back home." Like a fierce tiger, Zed pounced on her and flirted with her.

Once again, her relaxed face turned as red as an apple.

"I promise you." She composed herself and bravely met Zed's passionate eyes. "What are you thinking about?"

"Jean..." Zed felt his excitement reach a new extent. He hadn't expected her to promise him so readily. He now loved her even more, if that was possible.
