YUNIFER'S

POV

By the time I woke up, it was already five in the morning. It was still early and for some reason, I felt like I was being kicked out of that dream. However, what I was being curious about and kept thinking about the woman whom my grandma met.

I don't know if that was part of my memories or if I saw them in that situation when I was a child until now, I still can't remember most of my past no matter how hard I would try to remember it. I don't know what their relationship is but the way that they would talk and tease each other, I know that their relationship was good.

They are probably best friends in life.

I don't know why I suddenly dreamed of that event or maybe I was just thinking too much these days or maybe it was just because I miss my grandmother very much and it happened that my grandma is a witch.

If grandma is alive today, sure that she would be the one who will lead those witches who were out of the path and continued to kill living beings as if they are just mere ants in their eyes because grandma is the most compassionate and gentle woman that I have ever met.

It was no wonder that grandpa fell for grandma hard.

When I got up from my bed, I noticed the three huskies who were sleeping peacefully in my bed. Lawrence was the one who was on top of my head, then Drake on my left side while Ishid was on my right side.

It seemed that they were playing a bato-bato-pick last night to see who will be sleeping next to me after I fell asleep.

However, just seeing them sleeping so peacefully as if they didn't encounter any cruel events or some problematic mind games, made me feel satisfied as my eyes unconsciously softened.

I hope that everything will be alright and those witches would stop them from doing cruel things. However, I know that the witch leader won't easily give up on the so-called peace. Up until now, I was still curious about why the witch leader was so obsessed with death. If she can't die, why can't she just live? There are still a lot of things and events that are worth living for.

Although I hate the witch leader because of her cruel methods I hope that one day she will stop and realize that there are still some things that are worth living for and a day to be looked forward to in the future. I still hope that she would give up on hurting innocent beings and would change. Otherwise, if she can't I would have no choice but to kill her. If she can't kill herself then I will be the one who will kill her.

I let out a helpless sigh before I got out of my bed slowly and gently for fear that these three huskies who had sharp ears would notice that I was already awake and would also get out of bed just because I do so. These three still need rest. A big rest. After all, they were tired from fighting those witches, and for sure that in the future, they would also miss their sleep because those witches would come again and fight with them.

I let out a relieved sigh after I managed to get out of bed and quietly left the room. It seemed that they were too tired since they didn't even notice that I left the room when usually they would do so.

Just when I was about to go to the kitchen, I noticed someone else's presence, making me flinch.

"Not bad. You notice me."

It was the voice of such a familiar woman but I know that this person-or should I say a witch was just pretending to be her.

I turned my back and glanced at the witch who was pretending to be my grandma-who had the same youthful appearance as the grandma witch that I had seen in my dreams. She was calmly sitting in the living room, she was holding a cup of tea and from time to time, she would take a sip of the tea.

The smile on my lips faded as I coldly faced the woman in front of me. "What are you doing here, Witch Leader, trying to use the appearance of my grandmother, and you didn't even bother to fool me."

The witch leader let out a soft chuckle as she shook her head. "You aren't a fool, Yunifer. You can easily tell if someone is a witch or not with just a glance. After all, you have a blood of a witch from the bloodline of Celestine."

Celestine was my grandmother who was a witch.

I wasn't surprised anymore that this witch leader knows the name of my grandmother. After all, she was a witch and my grandma was a witch too. For sure that she met the witch leader back then when she was still alive or this witch leader was my grandmother's

ancestor.

"So what are you doing here? It can't be that you just want to check how's your enemy doing, right?" I calmly said as I went to the kitchen and then open the refrigerator to drink cold milk.

"Well, what do you know? I'm here to kill you so that you and your packs would stop messing with my witch clan." The witch leader calmly said and her voice contained playful and teasing.

I rolled my eyes and pour the cold milk into the glass then put it back again in the ref and started drinking the cold milk in the glass.

This time, I faced her. "You don't have any intention of killing me. Besides, it should be your witch clan who should stop messing with the humans and the wolves."

The witch leader just chuckled. "I have against between the human and the werewolves so what can I do? My body was itching to kill all of them. After all, they took a treasure from me."

My brows raised after hearing the word treasure from her mouth. Although she sounded playful her eyes can't lie. She wasn't lying about it.

I stared at her for a second before I answered. "What kind of treasure is it? Do you want me to help you replace it? Maybe if I can help you replace it then you can rest in peace and would stop killing those innocent beings."

After hearing my words, the witch leader laughed loudly. She looked at me and snickered. "You can't replace my treasure. Even for someone like me who already live a long life can't replace it, how much more a cub like you?"

Hearing such remarks, I wasn't angry. I started to understand the word treasure that she was trying to say. It must be a person who already passed away. It was either killed or died. But seeing that she hated the werewolves and humans, it must be that the werewolves and humans were the ones who killed her treasure.

"It's such a pity that I can't help you with that since I'm no god who can resurrect death. However, why don't you just kill only those who killed your treasure?" I calmly suggested while drinking the cold milk.

"It's such a pity that I can't help you with that since I'm no god who can resurrect death. However, why don't you just kill only those who killed your treasure?" I calmly suggested while drinking the cold milk.

The witch leader laughed in mockery. "They were already buried ten feet underground and probably became bones that couldn't be recognized. After all, it has been a while ever since I killed them for killing my treasure."

"If that's the case, then why don't you stop killing the werewolves and the humans? Why do you have to go that far and kill those innocent beings?" I asked while looking at her sternly.

The witch leader relaxed and leaned her back on the cushion. "I wasn't the one who killed them but rather it was my subordinates. It wasn't my hand that was dyed with red."

After she said that, she looked at me with a smirk.

I looked at her with disgust. "Can you stop using my grandmother's face like that? It's very disrespectful."

The witch leader's face became sharp. "I can do what I want."

"But the appearance that you are using is my grandmother who already passed away. Please respect it and besides, even if it was your subordinates who killed those innocent witches, it still can't change the fact that the boss that they are obeying was you. Why do you still do this when you already killed those who killed your treasure." I coldly asked while sharply looking at her.

But she didn't even mind the way I speak to her. She let out a snicker and looked me in the eyes. "You should be glad that I am in a good mood today, otherwise I would have already slit your throat for speaking back at me."

"Then it should be my honor and I'm grateful to be alive today despite how rude I am." I expressionlessly said while drinking the cold milk.

"You have a hateful personality. Too different from your grandmother." The witch leader coldly clicked her tongue.

I looked at her with surprise. "You know my grandmother?"

The witch leader rolled her eyes. "Your grandmother was the dumbest person I have ever met in my whole life. The most foolish, naive, and gullible witch."

My eyes darkened as I glared at her. "Don't talk about my grandmother like that!"

The witch leader snickered as she stood up while looking down at me. "I was just telling the truth. She's the most stupid person in the world. It was a good thing that she die."

"You witch?!" I angrily roared at her and was about to throw a hand at her but she kicked me on my stomach.

I glared at her hatefully who was tightly gripping my jaws, making me groan as I felt the pain in my stomach.

"You should be glad that I was restraining the urge to kill you. How dare a mere fly as you yelled at me? Besides, you should watch your mates very carefully because it will be their turn to die. It's my friendly reminder for you." She coldly said and after she said they, she tapped my cheeks and disappeared without a trace.

As if she was just my hallucination.
