YUNIFER'S

POV

I was sitting alone in the living room while calmly rethinking my decisions. I never thought that the witch leader would show up in front of me and we even talked calmly at first before I managed to piss her off. I guess she was in a good mood back then, however, whether she was in a good mood or not, in the end, she was still an enemy. She was the witch leader who was controlling her subordinate witches to destroy the human beings and the werewolves.

I let out a heavy sigh as I was about to stand up from sitting on the couch and start my morning training, but then I heard a childish voice behind me who jumped in my direction and hugged me tightly. "Sister! You're finally back." It was Asher who greeted me with a smile on his face while looking at me with a dazzling gleam.

I let out a soft chuckle as I looked at him and patted his head.

"En, I came back yesterday and you were still sleeping in your room so I didn't disturb you plus I was too sleepy that time." I softly explained that he won't feel wrong that I didn't visit him last night. Hearing that, Asher nodded his head with a smile on his face. "I know and I don't mind that."

"By the way, why are you up so earlier? It's still five thirty in the morning and kids like you should be sleeping at this hour." I softly said while pinching his cheeks.

Asher pouted. "I'm not a kid anymore and besides, I slept for too long yesterday that's why I woke up at this hour and I still have to prepare to go to school."

I let out a soft chuckle. "Yes, yes, Asher is already matured mentally but still not physically that's why you should sleep more to grow taller in the future."

Asher just chuckled and nodded his head at my statement. Then he suddenly asked me, "Sister, why are you up at this hour?"

When I looked at him, he was looking at me with pure curiosity. Seeing him being like this, I couldn't help but pinch his cheeks a few times. Too cute.

"I just woke up despite that I was sleepy and tired. I was dreaming earlier but ended up being kicked by my dreams."

While I kept on blabbing about why I woke up earlier, I noticed that Asher was staring at my face. More like he was staring at my jaws, making my brows furrow as I stop from blabbing about those events and asked him.

"Is there something wrong with my face?" I asked while looking through his eyes, trying to replace any emotions in them.

Asher raised his head and looked at me with a calm tone but I could feel that something was wrong with his emotions.

Before I could ask what was wrong with him when he suddenly spoke coldly. "Who did that to you?"

"Huh?" I couldn't react for a while to the question he asked. "What do you mean?" I was clueless about what he asked.

Asher clicked his tongue and pointed at my jaw with a cold tone. "This. Who did this to you? Why is it red and had a finger mark as if your jaw was tightly pinched by someone."

He suddenly looked like a detective when saying those words, questioning me and at the same time, his eyes would stare at the mark on my jaw trying to replace any other clue but since he couldn't replace one, he raised his head and looked at me. He was waiting for me to speak and confess to him.

I let out a heavy sigh. I thought that it already healed since given that I was a wolf and have a healing ability but who would have thought that there was still a mark left? It seemed that werewolves could only heal their wounds if it is heavily injured or wounded. Except for only having a mere swollen cheek or a red print on their body. It won't work since it wasn't a wound.

I looked at him and patted his head. "Well, it was nothing-"

"Nothing? Sister, are you trying to hide something from me just because I'm a child? I also wanted to protect you too even though I have a body like this after you are my only family and I don't want something to happen to you. You are very dear to me and I can't afford that something would happen to you." Asher softly said but his words were contained with seriousness and worry as he was looking at me with reddened eyes, making me feel guilty.

A smile appeared on my lips as I leaned down and kissed his forehead. "I know. This sister won't lie to you and it's nothing since the witch immediately left after we finished talking."

"Is it the witch leader whom you were talking about since the other day?" Asher curiously asked while looking at me.

I helplessly chuckled and nodded my head. "Yes, that's right. It was the witch leader whom I just met earlier and other than that, we were just talking and it just that I provoke her that's why she pinched my jaws. After that, she left." "Why did she leave?" Asher curiously asked with a frown.

I tap his nose and shrugged my shoulder. "I don't know either. Maybe she was too pissed about looking at my face and talking to me so she went back to her mansion. Anyway, it all doesn't matter right now. It was just a good thing that she didn't plan to kill me in the first place-well, she seemed like she had no intention of killing me."

"You met the witch leader?"

When I turned my back, my eyes widened in surprise upon seeing Drake who was already awake and was walking towards our direction. It just happened that he heard our conversation about the witch leader.

I saw him walk in my direction and looked at me with worry. "Tell me, did that witch hurt you?"

Before I could open my mouth, it was Asher who spoke. "Yeah, the witch hurt her. The witch tightly gripped her jaws which results that it left red marks on her jaws."

After Asher said that, Drake looked at my jaws and his gaze darkened.

"I'm going to kill that witch for hurting you like this!" He angrily said with an eye like a beast who was already eyeing his prey.

I let out a heavy sigh and tapped the hand that was holding my cheeks, making Drake look at me. "Don't worry too much, I think that the witch leader wasn't planning on killing me."

"But she was planning to hurt you. Is that any difference between not killing but hurting?" Drake let out a grunt and looked dissatisfied that I was trying to reason with the witch leader.

I shook my head helplessly. "I wasn't trying to reason with the witch since what she did wasn't right. I was just telling you that I am already fine and that witch didn't meet me to kill me because if she does, you were already mourning my body at this hour. After all, when the first time I saw the witch who was using my grandma's face, she didn't emit any presence, as if she doesn't have existence. Plus, I could feel that she was way more powerful than me. So, how could I dare to mess with her? I only talked with her after I learned that she didn't meet me just to kill me but rather to have a chat with me."

"But why would she want to have a chat with you?" It was Asher who asked with a frown look on his face.

"But why would she want to have a chat with you?" It was Asher who asked with a frown look on his face.

I shrugged my shoulder. "I don't know what's her reason for talking with me. Maybe she doesn't have anyone to talk with that's why she slip inside her enemy's base and replace someone suitable to talk with and it happened to be me."

"What did you two talk about?" It was Drake this time who asked.

Now that he mentioned it, I suddenly remembered what she warned me at the latter part of our conversation.

I looked at Drake and nervously told him about it. "The witch leader warned me about something. She said that she would destroy those who hurt her treasure, including their bloodline. Plus, she also wanted to kill my mates, which are you, Lawrence, and Ishid." After hearing this, Drake furrowed even more as he was calmly thinking at my words. It wasn't until he looked at me and said. "What is this treasure that she was talking about?" Drake calmly asked as if he didn't hear the threat from the witch leader who was threatening them.

"It's a person. I don't know about the race of this treasure that she was talking about nor what's its gender and what's their relationship with each other. The only thing I know is that the treasure that she was referring to was very dear to her to the point that it drove her madness when her treasure disappeared in her life." I calmly narrated based on what I saw and heard from the witch leader's words then I also give my own opinion about it.

Drake nodded his head. "It sounds like a partner. A lover."

I shrugged my shoulder. "I don't know. Maybe they are."

"About the matter that she was also targeting us, your mate, for what reason?" Drake asked.

I also shook my head. "I don't know either."

I don't know what's the reason why the witch leader also wanted my mates to get implicated. Maybe it was because my mates were helping those innocent people whom they targeted. That's why the witch leader saw that my mates were a threat to her so she wanted to get rid of them.

However, how could I let the witch hurt my mates like that? I would never let the witch leader harm them. Over my dead body.

"But it doesn't matter what's the reason why the witch leader was targeting us since we are already prepared for that from the moment that we started to help those innocent people whom they targeted." Drake calmly stated as if he was speaking like it was nothing to him and the threats of the witch leader won't affect him.
