Back to Love: A New Beginning -
Chapter 161
Chapter 161:.
My period had always been like this. It would come and go, every time it appeared it was very painful.
A few days later, it was Felix’s birthday. So he invited us to a get-together at Blue Sky.
Louise arrived before any of us. Aaron, Eric and a few others were also present.
Felix seemed to be in a good mood. He took the microphone from the singer on stage and announced that, to celebrate his birthday, he would give away a dozen cans of beer for every private room and booth.
The guests rejoiced at this and sang him a birthday song in unison. There were many strange guests who proposed a toast to thank him for the beer, and Felix did not refuse to drink.
After drinking so much, he was already half drunk. He took Louise’s hand and said, “My beautiful Louise, you still haven’t given me a birthday present.”
When she raised her hand, I thought she would slap his hand away. But then, he just gently moved his hand away from hers and gave her a sly look.
“A birthday present, huh? What do you want?”
“Will you give me whatever I want?” asked Felix eagerly.
His eyes were full of mischief, almost as if he was planning something evil.
Louise was a sharp individual. She instantly knew what he meant, so she didn’t answer his question.
“I want you.”
That said, he grabbed her head and kissed her.
Louise had never been in love, nor had she ever been kissed in public. Instantly, she pushed him away, wiped her mouth, and snarled, “If you ever do anything as reckless as that again, I’ll cut out your tongue!”
Felix didn’t seem bothered by her threat. He even smiled at her.
“Losing my tongue is a fair price for the chance to kiss someone as beautiful as you.”
I was very surprised to see their interaction.

Under normal circumstances, Louise would have slapped him and made him a new one.
For some ungodly reason, it made me think that this time she had fallen in love.
“Felix.” A clear voice interrupted their conversation.
I Immediately turned my attention to the speaker and saw a young woman about my age standing nearby.
Perhaps she saw what had happened earlier, so she was now looking at Felix with a somber expression.
When she saw the woman, the smile on her face disappeared.
The woman was thin. She had a beautiful face and wore exquisite makeup.
Slowly and gracefully, she strutted toward Felix. Judging by her expression, it was easy to tell that their relationship was not so simple.
I turned my attention to Louise. I saw her crossing her legs and popping a grape into her mouth. She looked like she didn’t care about what was going on and wasn’t taking the woman seriously.
The woman pulled a box out of her purse and carefully handed it to Felix.
“Happy birthday, Felix!”
Considering how she remembered his birthday, they must have had a special relationship.
But suddenly, Felix lowered his head to take a few puffs on his cigarette.
He didn’t even look at the gift and just frowned.
Everyone turned their eyes towards them. It was very obvious that the woman was embarrassed.
Derek looked at me, confused by what was happening. He leaned back against the couch and continued to smoke. From the look on his face, I assumed he knew this woman’s relationship with Felix, but he remained silent.
A minute had passed, but Felix was too stubborn to even give the woman a glance.
Finally, the woman withdrew her hand in tears. She was very pitiful.
“Felix, I personally made these cookies for you. You loved them, remember?”
It turned out that she actually had a relationship with him in the past.
Louise slammed a beer bottle on the table, producing a loud thud.
Felix turned his attention back to her. Suddenly, he pulled her into his arms.
Then he glanced at the woman and smiled.
“You’re right, I used to like them, but that doesn’t mean I still do. People change, Janie Tyler. I have a girlfriend now. What, you think I’m a dog at your beck and call?”
Even though he was smiling, I could see how hurt he was. Only those who had been hurt in the past would understand how miserable that smile gave.
I remembered my conversation with Felix in the villa the other day.
I still remembered what he said to me. He said he was unsure about a lot of things too. He wanted to be honest, but he wasn’t sure he was capable of it.
And only those who had been hurt by a previous relationship would feel that way.
Janie Tyler suddenly burst into tears.
She rushed to his side and hugged him as tightly as she could.
“Don’t do this to me, Felix! I’m carrying your child. Let’s get back together, like we used to be, okay?”.
