Back to Love: A New Beginning -
Chapter 365
Chapter 365:
“I don’t want to brag, but both of my grandsons are smart and handsome. Aaron, don’t demand too much. Find someone who considers family their priority. Glamorous divas aren’t going to do you any good. I prefer girls like Eveline.”
James praised us all.
“But there’s only one Eveline,” Aaron said sharply.
I instantly remembered what Charlene told me at the resort, and my cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
Derek put a piece of sparerib in my bowl as if he didn’t understand what Aaron meant.
James looked from Aaron to Derek and smiled. “There are a lot of wonderful girls in the world. It all depends on how you look at them.”
Aaron glanced at the dishes on the table and smiled. We had planned to set off fireworks that night, so we had brought the cookies.
When we went out into the yard, I saw that people had also set up fireworks in other places.
Moments later, the fireworks rose into the sky, with a loud whoosh, and exploded, creating beautiful patterns overhead.
The deafening noise and colorful patterns in the black sky thrilled me.
Admiring the fireworks in the quiet countryside was completely different from watching them in the bustling city.
Without the neon lights and incessant city traffic, they looked like blooming flowers in the sky.
Derek put one hand on my shoulder and pulled out his phone with the other.
When I thought he was going to take pictures of the fireworks, he kissed me and pressed the shutter at the same time.
He pulled the phone back, took a look at the picture and smirked. “Honey, this is our first picture.”
My mind instantly moved to the picture he took of me when he first brought me home.
Almost as if he had read my mind, he smiled and said, “That one doesn’t count. You weren’t my wife when I took that picture of you. Besides, you were only dressed in a bath towel. Not a good picture for a screensaver.”

So, he put this picture up as a screensaver. Aaron set off the fireworks one after another. He looked up at the fireworks and inadvertently looked at us.
At that moment, Derek kissed me again.
The kiss was more romantic under the colorful sky. Derek slid his tongue into my mouth, and it became hot and passionate.
Suddenly, he pressed me against the railing. My hand touched the snow on the railing. The cold brought me back to my senses and I nervously pushed him away.
“Don’t.”
He looked at me breathlessly, as if trying to hold back.
“If it wasn’t cold, I would have made you mine right here.” His voice was full of lust. Then he shouldered me and went down to the roof.
