Back to Love: A New Beginning -
Chapter 63
Chapter 63:.
The glass in Louise’s hand shattered as it fell to the floor. Soon, she grabbed Linda’s clothes. In an indifferent tone, she roared, “Who’s the bitch, wasn’t it you who seduced a married man in the past? And now, you use my father’s money to support a gigolo! You’re the shameless bitch!”
The fight that happened in the bar last time still haunted me. I didn’t want the same thing to happen again, so I tried my best to push Louise away, but she was pinned in place like a wooden stake. I couldn’t move her at all.
Linda was so frightened that she shrank back. She was aware that Louise was a capable fighter, so she was probably afraid that Louise would hit her. The young man, on the other hand, seemed to be grumpy. He didn’t know Louise very well, so he pointed his finger at her, all haughty.
“You want to get hit, bitch?”.
Louise pushed me away and started to fight him.
Unfortunately for this man, his strength was nowhere near enough to defeat Louise. It only took him less than a minute to get beaten up for less than a minute.
Derek and Felix didn’t join the fight this time; probably because they knew Louise could handle herself.
In the end, Linda had to drag her gigolo along. Fortunately, the fight ended quickly, and the onlookers soon dispersed.
After the fight, Louise just drank in sullen silence.
I could tell she was upset, but I had no idea how to console her. Seeing how much she was drinking, I began to feel uncomfortable, so I tugged at her sleeve.
“Lulu, you need to stop drinking.”
Derek pulled me to his side. “Let her drink,” he said.
The two ladies in Felix’s arms from earlier had disappeared. At this point, I was drinking bottle after bottle, as if I were competing with Lulu.
After a while, several people suddenly entered the bar. A strong-looking man in the lead glanced around and soon fixed his eyes on Louise. Then he approached our booth.

One look and I knew they were strong. I felt like my heart was going to pound out of my chest.
“Short hair and white T-shirt. That’s her. Beat her up and make her regret it.” With that said, one of the men grabbed Louise’s hair and lifted her off the couch.
I quickly stood up and glared at them with hatred. “What do they think they’re doing?”
Normally, even if they all fought her at the same time, they wouldn’t be able to stand a chance of defeating Louise in battle. But right now, she was so drunk that she couldn’t even stand her ground.
The man looked back at me and said, “Our business is with this woman. You’d better mind your own business and keep your nose out of other people’s business.”
The moment he stopped speaking, a fist suddenly slammed against his head. The hand he had on Louise immediately let go, causing her to stagger and fall onto the couch.
Felix stood to the side, clenching his fist and preparing for a fight. Although he had also had a lot to drink, he was at least a little more sober than Louise.
The strong man reacted quickly and defended himself against Felix.
Two more men moved in to grab Louise again. I rushed to protect her without hesitation. One of them was about to punch me, but Derek caught him just in time and punched him. We were caught in a chaotic situation again. I was very scared. Derek had just had the bandage removed from his head today. While Derek and Felix were engaged in the fight, one of the men dragged me over, picked Louise up and punched her in the face.
As she screamed, Louise fell. But luckily, someone held her up.
“Who the hell did this without my permission?”
The voice sounded familiar. Looking up, I saw that it was Layne.
When those men heard his voice, they all stopped fighting and greeted him with respect, giving the impression of being very guilty.
A bruise appeared at the corner of Louise’s mouth. She could barely stand as she leaned on Layne’s shoulder.
He pointed to the man who had just hit Louise and turned to her. “Call me Layne, and I’ll give you permission to have any part of his body you want.”
The way he spoke was so calm and there was even a slight smile on his lips, but the other man was so frightened that his legs were shaking.
“No, please, Mr. Thurman! I’ve made a mistake. I had no idea she was your wife.”
Still half unconscious, Louise shoved Layne.
“Fuck you!”
And since Layne wouldn’t hold her, she soon fell to her knees. He wanted to help her up, but Felix helped her first.
“This place is my territory. Get the fuck out of here!” roared Felix.
The smile on Layne’s face did not disappear. He pointed to his men and said, “Listen carefully, you pathetic fools. If you ever see this woman again, you will show her the utmost respect. And if anyone lays a hand on her, I will break every limb in her body.”
The men bowed and replied, “Yes, Mr. Thurman!” Fortunately, Layne left along with the disheveled men.
Soon, Louise collapsed. Felix dragged her to a safer place. Suddenly, he kissed her. He wasn’t sure if it was because he was angry at someone or at himself.
She tried to push him away without success. Then, she slapped him across the face. But because she was drunk, her slap was not as hard. Felix hugged her again and said, “I’ll take you home.”
Suddenly Louise cried like a little girl in his arms. “I don’t want to go home. I hate being home.”
My heart ached from what I heard.
Louise clutched at Felix’s clothes, giving him a look into her eyes. “Why did you kiss me, do you want to sleep with me? Fine. But I want a presidential suite.”
