Benson 215
Chapter 215 A Long Acquaintance
Andrew’s expression was cold, his gaze lingering on Yvonne for a while.
Although she was dressed in simple slacks and a basic sweater, he couldn’t ignore the grace and undeniable elegance on her face.
The slacks were perfectly tailored, and the sweater’s color complemented her skin tone, making her appearance all the more striking in his eyes.
“Whether it’s a fiancee or a wife, it’s all about business value. It doesn’t matter whether it’s me with her or her with me; we each have our own lives… Men like Benson are rare in our circle.”
Andrew’s words carried a hint of contempt and disdain, his voice low yet powerful, as if discussing an unrealistic legend.
In Andrew’s view, Benson’s strict self–discipline was an overly idealistic behavior.
He once thought that having Mary by his side could alleviate some of his loneliness, but to his surprise, he hadn’t even touched her.
Outwardly, their relationship seemed affectionate, but privately, it was much more complex. Mary might have fented Andrew, but she was also infatuated with him.
Yvonne was taken aback by his perspective and frowned slightly. “So you’re saying he’s a good man?” “Isn’t he? If you told anyone that the young master of the Taylor family is this innocent, who would believe it?” Andrew chuckled lightly, a trace of irony flashing in his eyes.
“In my opinion, genuinely good men are rare, and someone like Benson truly deserves respect.”
Yvonne’s tone became more resolute. “You can be a jerk to anyone, but not to Bella.”
Her voice carried a firm tone, clearly indicating her determination to protect Bella..
The Andrew family was one of the more complicated families in Mesquite, with each child vying for family interests.
Andrew’s ambitions were obviously not limited to just the Andrew family’s assets,
It was snid that his fiancée was the daughter of one of the most prestigious families in Mesquite, someone groomed from a young age to become the head of a household.
A person with such a background naturally had very high levels of skill.
Yvonne knew that without the backing of a prestigious family, Bella was at a disadvantage..
In the business world, men might engage in invisible battles, but women’s methods on their battlefield were not to be underestimated.
The damage society can inflict on a woman can sometimes be fatal–no need for knives or guns, it can destroy a person’s reputation, leaving them to endure a lifetime of scorn.
“Play around, then part ways when you’re done. But what if you’re not done? Would your wife or fianc tolerate her husband’s heart being elsewhere, and could you protect her?”
Andrew’s voice carried a hint of provocation, as if testing Yvonne’s limits.
A wave of unease washed over Yvonne. After what happened with Mary, she was naturally filled with a She realized she had been lucky to escape unscathed

“Would you marry her?“, Yvonne asked, looking directly Into Andrew’s eyes, her voice filled with probing
intensity.
“Of course not,” Andrew replied without hesitation. His eyes were cold with reality, as if his choice had leen decided.
“Bella has never been a candidate for my wife. She doesn’t contribute to my career. Even if we have feelings for each other, how many people would give up a bright future for a woman?”
Andrew’s response was exactly what Yvonne expected
For many men, women were merely diversions in life, especially in families like Andrew’s, where love was often the least valued commodity. Andrew clearly prioritized his career and practical benefits.
“Mary’s Information is something I owe you,” Yvonne said as she stood up, ready to leave. Her voice carried a note of apology and resolve.
She took a few steps, then suddenly stopped and turned around.
“You can replace out about this, so Benson must know too, Is he lying in wait?”
Andrew lightly swirled the wine in his glass, his gaze carrying a hint of complexity.
“Yvonne, take care of yourself. Don’t worry about Bella.
“What do you mean? Yvonne frowned, looking puzzled.
Andrew shrugged, his expression tinged with a hint of helplessness. “You should worry more about you and Benson than about me,”
Yvonne gave a cold smile. 1 worry about you? I worry about Bella. None of you are good.”
Her words were filled with sarcasm and dissatisfaction.
Andrew’s clear stance of not marrying Bella made her feel very uncomfortable.
She felt a vague sense of anger because it was Andrew who had pursued Bella first. Bella only wanted to have fun with him, yet he ended up hurting her deeply.
Just then, Yvonne’s phone rang. It was a message from Megan.
The photo showed a woman who seemed to be Mary from years ago, dressed in nightclub attire with light makeup.
Yvonne found a quiet corner and quickly opened the photo, her expression turning serious.
“Where did this photo come from?” Yvonne’s voice was filled with urgency.
Megan was silent for a moment on the other end of the line before answering, “It was sent by Jeremy.”
“Jeremy?” Yvonne’s brow furrowed tightly.
“Yes,” Megan replied, sounding confused. “He said just to give you the photo, without explaining further.”
“How would he have this kind of photo?” Yvonne’s mind was filled with questions.
It was clear that Jeremy knew she needed this photo.
Back in St. George, she had exchanged something for information about Olivia.
Now that Mary was still active in the entertainment industry, a photo like this, especially after Mary had admitted her involvement in that fire, could ruin her chances of a comeback.
Yvonne ended the call, feeling uneasy.
She knew that a photo like this, if exposed, could be devastating for Mary. She also realized that Jeremy might have a deeper understanding of her intentions.
She would need to be even more cautious to maintain her advantage in this complex situation.
The next afternoon, Yvonne Lotted Jeremy at the conference. As a distinguished young entrepreneur, his presence drew a lot of attention.
Yvonne seized the opportunity to approach Jeremy, skipping the formalities and getting straight to the point. “Why are you helping me?”
Jeremy maintained his gentlemanly demeanor, smiling slightly as he saw her, a mysterious glint in his
eyes..

1 thought you knew.”
Suspicion flashed across Yvonne’s eyes. “Do you like me that much?”
Jeremy seemed to read her thoughts and chuckled softly.
“Yvonne, I do like you. Doing something for you is no big deal, right?”
“We’ve only just met,” Yvonne said, her voice tinged with confusion.
Jeremy looked at her for a moment, a gentle smile in his eyes. “We haven’t just met–you’ve just forgotten.”
