Bride of the vampire
Chapter thirty eight

Damien angrily stood up from his chair, heading outside.

"Damien what's wrong?". Carlo asked with concern written all over his face. Forgetting the fact that he was in pain.

He feared Damien might do something out of anger and probably lost all his control.

"Do not follow me!". Damien snapped at him.

Carlo sat back on his chair immediately. He knows better than anyone not to argue with Damien especially when he's really angry.

He wondered what Lucy did!

Damien got into the car and drove straight to the hospital Crystal was admitted to.

"Why don't you ask me directly??". He said at the door.

One thing he hates is people digging into his past. He had clearly warned Lucy never to talk about it again but yet she took his love for granted and decided to tell Crystal. "There will be consequences for your actions Lucy". Damien roared.

His voice came out like a whisper but it was sounding really deadly.

Crystal saw Lucy shiver in fear immediately.

She was starting to believe what Liam said. If his nanny who he regarded as his mother could get scared at his words. And he had claimed to love her.

Killing Liam's girlfriend will be easy then!

"Go home Lucy!". He said, a bit calm.

"Son I didn't me....

"I just told you to go home". He snapped.

Lucy flinches in fear. And hurriedly left.

After Lucy left, everything was completely silent. As the two stared at each other like they were doing a staring competition.

"Who's Olivia?". Crystal finally breaks the silence between them.

Damien looked at her, he knew he was not going to give any explanations to her.

"Liam's girlfriend".

"What happened to her?".

"She's dead!". He said casually

Crystal gasped, she's truly dead?

"Wh... what killed her?". She stuttered

Damien knew Liam must have told her, he killed Olivia in order to get back at him or to get crystal herself. He was really bothered about what she thinks of him. He told her he was fire but she agreed to get burned with him.

"Whatever Liam said was true!". With that he stood up and made for the door

But he felt his heart fling in pain

Wondering why she wasn't saying anything.

"Do you really believe what he told you?".

Damien found himself asking what he wasn't supposed to.

He was desperate to know. He thought he wasn't bothered about what she thinks of him but another part of him wants her to believe he didn't do it.

He left disappointed, when she didn't give him a reply.

Crystal watched as he left.

For the first time she regrets everything.

Her life was just simple. Working as a waitress and stripping at night. She has nothing to worry about exclusive to her mother.

But now she has fallen in love with a cold human.

No matter how hard she tries to deny it but her heart says otherwise twice.

She angrily removed the needles in her hands as she stood up weakly.

She doesn't want anyone in her life right now. Nor Damien or Liam She doesn't want to be put in the middle.

Whether Damien killed Olivia or Liam was lying! She doesn't care.

Max woke up and realised Aiden was not by his side anymore. He rubbed his eyes gently and stood up, walking out of the room, he heard some noises in the kitchen.

Max stared at Aiden's exposed back and smiled shyly. Aiden was only putting on a short trouser as he was busy doing something on the counter of the kitchen.

"Good morning love". Aiden greet without turning back.

How did he notice him? Max wondered.

"How did you know I was standing here?".

"Have you forgotten I am a wolf even if you are one thousand miles away and among one million people? I will be able to recognise your scent with my eyes closed. It is one of the most beautiful scents ever". Max blushed

"what are you making".?

"I'm making breakfast for you, do you like takoyaki ?".

Max turn to him with wide eyes

"You know how to make takoyaki?" Max asked as a watch Aiden prepare all the ingredients

"yeah I got octopus, bacon and cheese you like that?". Aiden ask

Max nodded and stood quietly watching as Aiden cut the octopus and bacon.

He could not believe Aiden was actually making takoyaki for him.

"Do you need any help?". Max said after a while

Aiden looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

"Can you cook?".

"I... I.. I ..I can try if you teach me".

"okay make the batter".

He nodded and walked into the kitchen like a professional cook.

He ends up staring at the ingredients for 2 minutes having no idea what to use to make a batter.

Aiden almost laughs at his facial expression.

"just go sit max, I will bring it over once it is done". Aiden suggested

"No No, I really want to help. I can make batter just tell me what to use okay?".

Aiden chuckled

"Okay, you have to Sift the flour". Aiden said passing max a sieve

Max grabs the sieve and pour the flour all over it.

"Geez Max, you only know how to tempt me and get angry. U can't even sift flour". Aiden laughed

"See now you messed it up. Do it on top of the bowl.". Aiden instructed.

And like an obedient child, Max did as he was told.

Aiden had finished cutting and frying the necessary ingredients. He stood beside Max and watched him try to do it better.

Funny enough, Aiden found it very entertaining and how sweet max was.

"Add two eggs and a bit of soy sauce". Aiden said to him.

Max nodded, picking up two eggs.

He cracked it carelessly letting the shells fall into it.

"Shit". He cursed under his breath.

Aiden glanced over to see what happened. He moved closer to him and wrapped his arm around Max's waist.

Max shivers at his actions.

Aiden bought his mouth close to Max's ear and whispered seductively.

"Let me show you how it's done".
