Bride of the vampire -
Chapter fifty four
"Why?". Crystal questioned him, not understanding why he asked her to close her eyes.
"No reason". He smiled forcefully.
The car pulled up in front of a grand mansion, and Crystal's eyes widened as she took in the sight of it, slowly stepping out of the car, with Damien holding the door like an errand boy. The bodyguards couldn't be less shocked, as they watch their boss acting like a Prince Charming wondering what happened to the ruthless Damien they knew. Crystal stared at the mansion,
It was a beautiful building, with a sweeping marble staircase and a crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling. With Damien's mansion beautifully carved on it. She rolled her eyes, craving his name on everything? Is that even necessary?.
"This is where we'll be staying," said Damien, noticing her reaction.
She followed Damien into the mansion, still feeling dazed by it,staring around it. It even has a big garden by the side filled with beautiful colourful flowers. "Bonjour, monsieur and madame, welcome home". A French lady said at the door, collecting their luggages.
""Comment vas-tu, Charlotte?" Damien said.
"Je vais vous conduire à votre chambre" he added
The lady nodded, bowing a little for crystal, showing her the way.
"Follow her, she will show you to your room". Without waiting for her reply
Damien walked away along with Max as two ladies dragged their luggage along.
Crystal scoffed. Arrogant man
She silently follows the lady upstairs, as they arrive at the room. Charlotte opens the door for her, gesturing her to go inside.
Crystal was beyond Mesmerised. It was a luxurious room with a queen size bed that would fit at least three people.
A crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, and the window overlooked the city of Paris. Perfect for night view.
The soft glow of the city lights illuminated the streets below, casting a romantic ambiance over the scene. In the distance, the Eiffel Tower stood tall and proud, its lights sparkling against the night sky. She walked towards the window wanting more view of the city of love, a soft breeze rustled through the curtains, carrying with it the scent of freshly baked croissants. A perfect night in the city of love.
Crystal's tummy groans as the scent of the freshly baked croissant.
"Get her some croissants". Damien said at the door.
Crystal blushed in embarrassment.
Charlotte nodded and excused herself.
"Is it to your taste?".
Crystal wanted to scream yes but on a second thought.
"It's fine. I mean not to my taste though but you did well. You do have a great taste". She nodded, walking around.
Damien chuckled.
"I will have someone design it to your taste by tomorrow, a stylist is on the way. She will help you get ready". With that he left her room.
Why is he just leaving? He didn't even allow her to talk?. She rolled her eyes again. Her smile returned as she stared at the bed
She immediately falls into the bed, feeling it comfy.
"Oh Goodness, this feels like heaven". She moans
Shortly after, the stylist came in along with Charlotte, who was holding the croissants in a white porcelain plate. They were brown and golden with a dust of powdered sugar perfectly sprinkled on it. "You can eat first ma'am, I can wait".
Crystal immediately devours the three croissants in no time.
"Gosh, they taste so good, so delicious". She moaned out loudly.
After she was done, she quickly freshened up and started drying her hair.
When she was done, she bought out the dress Damien got her.
"Oh goodness". The stylist gasped at the sight of the dress
"This is the latest design and there's only one in this whole world". She almost screamed.
Crystal was shocked beyond words. This dress will surely cost millions.
"Come on, let's get you ready".
As Crystal was led to the dressing table, her mind was racing. The dress was stunning, but it was also a little intimidating. What if she mistakenly messes up? What if she looked silly in it? She would be the only one in the world to wear this dress, and she would make it her own.
The stylist helped her into the dress, and it fit like a dream. Hugging her body tight, bringing out all her curves. She didn't apply much makeup on crystal's face because Damien had told her he wanted her to look very natural. Crystal suddenly felt emotional, she isn't even his girlfriend and he's spending so much on her.
Wait, how did he even know her size?
"You know, you're one lucky woman." The stylist said, trying to start a conversation. Crystal blushed.
"I have heard a lot of Mr Damien but I have never heard of him being with a woman before". "I'm just a friend". Crystal response
"A friend? Trust me darling. No man will get a dress worth millions for a friend". She laughed
"I'm serious, he... has a girlfriend".
"He has a girlfriend? And he brought you here instead of her, common girl, are you deceiving me or yourself?".
Crystal stared at her through the mirror.
"What's your name?". She asked.
"Hazel". She smiled, as she slowly transformed.
"Oh my, you're the woman in the room?". Crystal gasped.
Hazel smiled.
"Yes, how did you get past Damien?".
"Nothing is impossible without magic, baby girl". She
said, waving her hands as crystal's hair style by itself.
Crystal mouthed a wow.
"You look so beautiful even Damien won't be able to get his eyes off you". She smiled widely, pinching Crystal's cheek playful.
A tear dropped from her eyes as she hugged hazel tight.
"My mom used to pinch me like that, I miss her so much".
"I'm sure, Amelia misses you too".
Crystal disengaged from the hug, as she stared at hazel curiously.
"How do you know my mother's name??".
Hazel gushed down nervously.
"Uhmm". She squashed her head nervously.
"I'm a witch, remember, I can see the future and past. I just looked into your memory, so that's how I know". Hazel smiled, managing to form a lie, hoping Crystal would buy it.. And as expected, Crystal bought it.
"Madame, Mr Damien said you should come down in twenty minutes." Charlottes said.
