Bride of the vampire -
Chapter fifty three
After the long flight, they finally arrived in Paris.
As they stepped down from the jet. Crystal was beyond surprise as the sight of Paris city. It was always her dream to visit Paris with her mother. Even though she couldn't do it, at least she's here. She hoped and prayed that her mother would be well soon. She had spent five years waiting for her to come around. Five years yearning for her mother's touch again. Five years living like a stripper.
She wanted to scream out loud happily. She was beyond happy. She would have been much happier if her mother was here.
Damien stared at her as she smiled happily. He couldn't help but smile a little too.
"Come on, let's go". He said, holding her hands.
Crystal blushed and beckoned at max to come.
Damien hurriedly pulled her by the waist bringing her closer as he glared at max.
Max smiled, lowering his head. That was the first time he has seen his boss being so protective of someone.
A car stopped in front of them, as a guard came out of it.
A Cadillac sedan, with dark tinted windows and shiny chrome rims, glossy black, and the headlights are bright and piercing.
"Good morning boss, your ride is here". The guard said, bowing down in respect.
The guard held The door for Damien first before moving to crystal.
"No, leave it, Damien will open the car for me". Crystal said, as the bodyguard's mouth widened in shock.
They all gasped in shock and fear for her.
Damien chuckled, stepping out of the car to open the door for her.
"As you wish, my lady". He unlocked the door and bowed a little.
"Oh devil". All the guards yelled in shock.
Damien glared at them as he got in after crystal. Max could only laughed and said
"That's how we saw it".
Damien's car drove away as five other cars followed in front and behind. Damien stared at crystal once again, noticing he can't hear her thoughts again. That's when he understood that he can only hear her thoughts when she's weak. "Princess, how's your mom doing?". He asked.
Crystal smiled painfully.
"I spoke to the doctor yesterday, he said she's only responding to treatment but she wasn't waking up anytime soon".
"Can you tell me what happened to her?". Damien asked, not sure if she was willing to say it
Crystal bites her lips preventing tears from flowing.
"It's fine, if you don't....."
"No, I can... it happens in the night, I was eighteen, a man has banged into our house......
FLASH BACK
Crystal could be seen laughing happily with her mom as they watched movies together. Until it was interrupted by a loud noise and their door flipping open.
And some gunmen rushed in.
"Crystal to the basement now". Her mom yelled
She was about to say something.
"Baby this isn't the time to argue, go now". She yelled, pushing her towards the basement door.
Crystal hurriedly hid behind the door and peaked to see what was happening.
Her heart was racing as she watched her mother being handled by the unknown man.
Hair covered half of his face and she couldn't see him clearly, he looked like the leader because the other men stood behind him.
The man's voice was deep and menacing as he spoke to Crystal's mother.
"You have something that belongs to me. I want it back, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get it." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a gun, pointing it at Crystal's mother. Crystal's eyes went wide with fear, and she felt like she couldn't breathe. Her mother's voice was steady and calm as she replied
"I have nothing that belongs to you monster". She yelled back.
"Don't test my patience woman". The man yelled, pulling her by the hair as he dragged her towards the room.
Crystal could only hear her mother's scream. Not long after the man came out of the room and walked outside followed by his numerous bodyguards.
Just as the last one was about to leave, he stopped and stared at the basement door. A smirk ran up his face.
"I see you". He whispered in a deep and seductive voice, still smirking as he started walking towards her. Crystal moved back in fear as she saw his eyes glow red. But surprisingly he just turned around and left. After making sure they had left, Crystal ran towards her mother. Who was lying in her own pool of blood. "Mother, mother look at me". She cried.
END OF FLASHBACK.
"Even though my mother didn't die that night, she was like a living corpse and had been in a coma for five years now, showing no sign of waking". Crystal said, clearly the tears on her face.
"I wished I'd seen their face, I won't rest until they are six feet under the ground". She swore as her eyes were filled with rage and anger.
Damien anxiously taps his finger on his seat as he stares at her, he could clearly see she was determined to make those men pay. "I'm sorry about what happened to your mother".
"You'd be sorry for them when I get hold of those men". She smile
Damien gasped in shock as he saw the blue fire flame in her eyes. Her eye's sclera was completely blue and the black was red.
He shifted nervously on his seat.
"Princess, could you close your eyes for a minute?".
She nodded and closed them.
"Open them".
When she opened them it was back to normal.
At that moment Damien knew he was definitely done for.
"Why?". Crystal questioned him, not understanding why he asked her to close her eyes.
"No reason". He smiled forcefully.
The car pulled up in front of a grand mansion, and Crystal's eyes widened as she took in the sight of it, slowly stepping out of the car, with Damien holding the door like an errand boy.
