Bride of the vampire -
Chapter nine
[AT THE RODRIGUEZ PACK HOUSE]
A resounding slap echoed through the room, landing forcefully on Liam's face.
"What kind of Alpha are you?!" His father's voice boomed with anger, his face contorted in frustration.
"Twenty of our men lost their lives because of your carelessness," his father continued, his voice filled with disappointment.
Liam stood there, his body tense, but he refused to let his emotions show. He remained silent, absorbing his father's
words.
"I always hoped for a son like Damon, someone strong and capable," his father muttered, his voice laced with bitterness. "But the moon goddess decided to punish me with you."
A flicker of hurt crossed Liam's eyes, but he quickly regained his composure. His irises turned a fiery gold, a sign of his alpha power awakening.
"I am the Alpha," Liam declared firmly, his voice commanding. "Do not compare me to a vampire."
His father's eyes mirrored the same golden hue, a testament to his own alpha status.
"I have not appointed you as the new alpha," his father retorted, his voice filled with authority. "I am still your alpha. Leave now."
With a deep breath, Liam suppressed his anger and took a step back. He knew that challenging his father at this moment would only escalate the situation further.
Liam glared at his father, a mix of anger and hurt swirling within him. He had always gone to great lengths to please his father, even befriending Damien, just to gain his father's approval. And now, his father had the audacity to compare him to Damien.
Frustration boiled within him as he bowed and stormed out of the room, his heart heavy with disappointment. How did his father even replace out about what happened? Who had betrayed his trust?
"Aiden," Liam called out, attempting to connect with his beta through their mind-link. But there was no response.
Why wasn't Aiden answering?
"Why are you letting this get to you? It's all your fault, that our mate isn't here!". his wolf, Roman, chimed in, his voice filled with accusation.
Liam brushed off Roman's words, refusing to let them affect him. "Our mate will come back to us," he declared, determination lacing his voice. "Don't try to provoke me."
He made another attempt to reach Aiden through their mind-link, but it proved futile. The pain from the earlier punch still throbbed in his eyes, a constant reminder of the physical and emotional toll this situation had taken on him.
LIAM'S FATHER
When the prophecy came, it foretold the birth of a master and a slave. Lucas had always believed that the master would be born into the werewolf family, as they were known to possess greater power than the vampires. However, to their dismay, it was the slave who was born. Damien possessed everything Lucas had ever desired in a son - boundless abilities, strength, and unwavering determination.
He even went as far as orchestrating a friendship between Damien and Liam, their own child, hoping to exploit Damien's powers for their own gain. However, Liam proved to be utterly useless in harnessing Damien's abilities. Faced with the threat of Damien growing stronger
With Liam by his side, Lucas felt compelled to sow discord between the two. This led them to introduce Olivia, Liam's girlfriend, into the equation. She became the pawn in their plan to destroy the friendship between Damien and Liam. But there was one more individual mentioned in the prophecy - the White Goblin.
DAMIEN
"Why did you bring her here?" Dagon complained incessantly, sounding like a nagging woman.
"Relax, she can't see us," Sathanas reassured.
Damien let out a frustrated sigh. "If you're uncomfortable with her presence, why don't you just disappear?." He suggested, hoping they would take the hint and leave.
Dagon scoffed. "Shh, she's waking up," Sathanas whispered.
"Don't shush me, she can't hear us," Dagon retorted.
Crystal blinked her eyes several times before surveying her surroundings.
"Princess, are you alright?." Damien asked.
"Where am I?" she questioned.
"Oh, Barbie doll, you're in the demon's den," Dagon chimed in.
"Come on, Dagon, let it go. She can't see us," Sathanas urged.
"I can see you."
"WHAT?!" they all exclaimed, frozen in shock. "y.. you can see them?". Damien asked in shock. Crystal nodded her head.
"You are not a human, are you?". She asked.
"I thought as much as human eyes can't possibly be changing colours". She said, "What?!" they all exclaimed, their voices filled with disbelief and shock.
"Wait, you can actually see them?" Damien asked, his eyes wide with astonishment.
Crystal nodded slowly, her expression a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
"You're not... human, are you?" she asked tentatively, her voice barely above a whisper.
Damien's heart raced as he awaited her response, unsure of what it would mean for their relationship.
"I suspected as much," Crystal replied, her voice filled with a mixture of awe and confusion. "Human eyes aren't supposed to change colours like that."
Dagon, still processing the revelation, interjected, "But how is she able to see us? This doesn't make any sense."
Crystal, her curiosity piqued, raised an eyebrow and asked, "So, you guys are like some sort of black smoke?"
Sathanas, one of the demons, stepped forward and transformed into a strikingly handsome human form. Crystal couldn't help but be amazed by his appearance.
"Oh my God, you're absolutely gorgeous," she exclaimed, her eyes widening in disbelief. "I never thought demons could be this... attractive."
Damien glared at Sathanas with a mix of anger and frustration.
"Leave us." he commanded, his voice laced with authority.
"Why?." Crystal questioned, her curiosity getting the better of her.
"You go." she added, her tone indicating that
she didn't want to talk to him after their earlier disagreement. Damien understood and didn't want to push her further. He stood up silently, his gaze fixed on the demons who had taken on their human form. The urge to tear their faces apart surged within him.
"Sexy demon my foot." he muttered under his breath before exiting the room.
Crystal watched as Damien left, a small smile playing on her lips.
"So, how did Damien discover you guys?" she asked, genuinely intrigued.
"Oh, that little rat," Dagon replied dramatically.
"It's actually the other way around. We discovered him. He was quite a troublemaker as a child, always getting into trouble. And, as usual, we were there to save his little ass. At first, he was scared of us, but over time, he learned to accept the three of us," Sath explained.
"Three?" Crystal repeated, her curiosity piqued.
"Yes, three. The third one is Abaddon. We can just say he is Damien, and Damien is him. He resides within Damien," Dagon clarified.
Crystal mouthed an "oh," trying to process the information.
"But how were you able to see us?" the demons inquired.
"I don't know," Crystal responded honestly.
The demons stared at her in amazement. There was something about her that didn't seem right, but they couldn't quite put their finger on it. Her aura screamed danger, yet she appeared so innocent. They continued talking for a while until the demons decided it was time to leave.
She walked out of the room after the demon had disappeared. For some unknown reason, she didn't feel scared of them or Damien at all.
As she walked down the well-lit hallway, she noticed the beautiful surroundings outside, including a swimming pool, tennis court, basketball court, and more. The vast estate owned by Damien was filled with different kinds of cars parked in the driveway. She was impressed and couldn't help but admire everything.
But her attention was drawn to a dark room that stood out among the bright and shining surroundings. Wondering why it was dark, she slowly made her way towards it, curious to see what was inside. Suddenly, a voice thunder from behind. "WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING??".
