Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) -
Chapter 1023
"Why would I lie to you?" Theodore asked. "If you don't believe me, I can call the doctor for you to ask yourself."
Aurora stared at Theodore, as though trying to read something from his eyes.
"As long as you're okay, Theo. That's all that matters." She burrowed into his arms, hugging him tightly. "I was so worried about you."
"Don't worry. I'm fine. With you here, how could anything happen to me?"
Aurora looked up at him, joy in her eyes. "Theo, why do you feel that having me by your side keeps you safe?"
"Because you're my lucky star. You're my muse," he said, holding her hand and kissing her fingers tenderly.
"Theo, you're my hero. Since meeting you, my life has been so blessed." She clung to him, her face glowing with happiness, the picture of a bashful, love-struck woman. "I'm willing to do anything for you, even if it costs me my life."
"Silly girl. Don't say things like that again," he said, caressing her cheek gently. "I don't want your life. I want you to live well."
"Theo, I promise to live well. I'll try my best to live a good life."
Theodore kept Aurora company and had dinner with her in the evening.
Due to her heart condition, Aurora needed to stay in the hospital for observation for a few days.
Theodore initially intended to stay by her side, but Aurora, concerned about his health, urged him to go home and rest. She told him he could visit her again tomorrow.
Indeed, Theodore was feeling exhausted. He hadn't been sleeping well in recent days. After finishing dinner with her, he left the hospital.
As he reached the entrance, he saw Rosalie walking out as well. She appeared to be waiting for her driver.
Rosalie noticed Theodore standing nearby.
The atmosphere between them was awkward. Initially, neither acknowledged the other, their eye contact fleeting. Eventually, Rosalie broke the silence. "Did you go for a biopsy?"
"I'll do it tomorrow," Theodore replied.
"You should get it done as soon as possible. The sooner you know the results, the sooner you'll have peace of mind." Theodore turned his head to ask, "What if it's malignant? Will there be any peace of mind, then?"
"If it's malignant, the sooner it's
detected, the sooner it can be treated Rosalie said. "Delaying it

Theodore let out a bitter laugh. "Good or bad, does it make a difference to you? We're no longer married."
Rosalie closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She then asked, "Have you told Aurora?"
Someone needed to push him to act.
"No," Theodore replied indifferently.
"Why haven't you told her? Isn't she your girlfriend? She's also the mother of your child."
"Because I don't want her to worry," Theodore said. "Her health isn't the greatest."
Rosalie recalled how Aurora had
clutched her chest and seemed to struggle for breath when Theodore carried her away earlier. "She has a heart condition, doesn't she?"
"Yes," Theodore said faintly, his hands in his pockets.
Rosalie suddenly laughed. "You really do have a type! You're particularly drawn to women with heart conditions. Don't tell me she also needs a heart transplant?"
Theodore frowned. "That's none of your business."
Rosalie wanted to point out that if it truly had nothing to do with her, why did Aurora look so much like her?
In the end, she decided not to say it. There was no point in bringing it up.
"If she has a heart condition," she said, "why did you get her pregnant? You're risking her life!"
